DogWatch Tavern

I really enjoy hanging out at DogWatch Tavern. The bar good is fantastic and the vibe is very chill. I have a lot of coworkers from out of town that come to Baltimore and love to play pool, so we typically end up at DogWatch for the pool and the wings (and corn dog nuggets). They have skeeball, and beer pong using buckets and kickballs. People are friendly and its got a great baltimore feel.

I mainly have been here with friends to watch Os games or just hanging out for a night out in Fells. Have ordered apps but never ordered anything else. Good place to play drinking games and have cheap drinks ;)

I wish there were more stars!!! Where do I start?
The staff: Webbie, Dane, Robin, Jess (all of them :)are friendly, personable and welcoming. I’ve been a regular since last year… And service, as well as food has always been consistently great. Kick ass happy hour (4 – 8)…please…please get the «Cheesesteak Quesos» maaaaaaaan, I feel like I’m in Philly!
Too many great attributes to list, but it’s a great atmosphere, chill… and you need to make your way down here. #Boom! And they have a chair club that appreciates your loyalty! 30 straight days… You get your own chair!!! Check it out!

The service & crowd is always great. The food is good also never had a bad bite there. This was the grilled chicken meal. When I say it alone will make you come back. The only problem is finding parking lol.

Love this place. Perfect mix of food and drinks… always a special going on. Seat holders club is definitely cool.
Oh and they like dogs!

Must admit that I did not try the food or drinks, but it was the bear pong (note: BEAR pong) that kept us there. They had giant beer pong buckets for cups and volleyballs (?) for pong balls. Definitely must try if you’ve never played it before.

The burger was thick, flavorful and substantial (10oz.). On the whole, it makes a good dive bar (not a lot of traffic, though I left before 9:30 pm) where one can chill. I would have liked more of a draft selection than a handful of IPAs and in particular, more stouts or Porters; Guinness was the only dark on tap.

Excellent food– and you wouldn’t expect it because it looks like just a regular sports bar, complete with pool tables and many screens playing football– but do yourself a favor and try the fried oysters, half and half clam chowder and the boiled shrimp. On a cold windy night this is a solid combination that hit the right note for us, comfort seafood :)
5 stars because Webbie, our bartender and server, was friendly, genuine, easy to talk to, told us what’s good on the menu, and didn’t hesitate to make me a hot toddy, just the way his mom used to make it for him and his brother on cold nights. She’s British, and Webbie learned how to make one of the best hot toddies I’ve ever had, full of flavor and well rounded, it paired well with the seafood and kept me warm walking back out into the cold to sight see the horse you rode in on, a bar that served Edgar Allen Poe his last drink.

Went here on a Friday night. It took 25 minutes to get a beer. The bar smelt like urine and mold. Dog watch? More like Dog shit

Have only had good experiences here over the past two years, but had a GREAT experience this weekend. I contacted them about a last minute birthday party and Marka was extremely helpful and accommodating. I wanted something casual and fun– and this ended up being perfect. We were surprised with balloons and «Happy Birthday» messages on the reserved tables, as well as food and drink specials for my friends and I. Everyone at the bar was helpful and friendly and all of us had a great time. Food is bar food, as it should be, and delicious (mini corn dogs are highly recommended). Good music, friendly staff and patrons and an overall amazing atmosphere. Come here for an awesome night without having to deal with heels on the fells point cobblestones, or long lines out in the cold. Definitely will be back!

Sometimes you just stumble into a bar that just fits. Everything clicks, and the joint becomes your «Cheers,» where you want everyone to know your name. Dogwatch became just that on a meandering Saturday afternoon.
All I wanted was a TV to watch the Wisconsin football game. I never expected to find a «hang out» I never wanted to leave. The attractive bartenders, all named Jess it seems, cater to the customers and immediately make you feel like a regular. I felt comfortable immediately with the eclectic crowd of all ages. Being older, I often feel out of place at watering holes with rambunctious young kids out for a good time. At Dogwatch, you are invited to join in.
In addition, the food served at Dogwatch is fantastic! The chicken wings were the best thing I tasted in Baltimore, and I went to some fancy restaurants.
There is only one thing that «bugged» me at Dogwatch. The bathroom would be more fitting at a Chinese restaurant in Chiang Mai. Since I am older and drank a bit, I utilized the bathroom about every ten minutes. It became a lesson in how long I could hold my breath and pee with my eyes shut. I wasn’t always successful.
None the less, I returned the next day and received the same great service from the Jess called J.F.K. The Dogwatch Tavern made me feel like moving to Baltimore, definitely an under rated city.

Hot and delicious food at decent prices with generous portions. Though I don’t like reviewing places after just 1 visit, I feel confident that this place is solid. The only reason why I didn’t give them 5 stars is because my order came out wrong — I said it was okay (I was starving so I didn’t want to wait for them to remake it/​it was close enough where I didn’t want it to go to waste) and they ended up charging me for the wrong order. In any case, I would definitely return. We ordered a variety of dishes and everything was good, so I’m interested in trying the rest of the menu to find out what I like best :)

Came here for a work happy hour with coworkers. They had some awesome late night specials as well as were belong raise money for a good cause. I ordered the chicken tenders and fries for $ 5, yes you heard me right $ 5! The food came out smoking hot and the fries where to dye for amazing. They were so good I ordered another basket to split with the table.
This bar wasn’t too crowded and they had a lot of games to play. They offer pool, skew all and bear pong as well as some arcade games. I thought that was a cool mix up from your ordinary bar scene where it’s just drinks and not much else.

4 stars? not so much. Solid 3 star bar on a strip of other bars in fells point with ok/​typical bar food. Probably wouldn’t be my first stop even if I was in Fells point. I lived in Baltimore all my life and frequented Fells Point but never heard of this place until about a year ago. It’s nestled in a location where you would miss it if you didn’t know it was there. Anyway food is decent and decently priced. So for the price alone, if I was already in Fells Point and wanted something decent without breaking the bank then I would stop here. And in that event I’d have to pray that seating is available. They definitely lack in that area but it’s a bar not a restaurant anyway.

I can’t speak to the inside, because we sat outside with our dog. That being said, the service was great, and our server came outside a fair amount of time to check on us. They brought out water for the dog, and they have milk bones. I had the chicken tenders and they were so good! Very light breading, with buffalo sauce to dip in. My boyfriend had the crab cake sandwich and really liked it, it had a good amount of lump crab in it.

I’m sad because I know I ordered the wrong thing here when I read the rest of these reviews. I had the Crispy Fish Sandwich and it was oh-​so disappointing. The batter on the fish was overwhelming, the bread was mushy and it was just a overall waste of calories.
Pros of my dining experience was: fun atmosphere, there are multiple things to look at and converse over with your peers, the ongoing Bear Pong game (think beer pong but with a volleyball and buckets) and the super friendly services. Unfortunately, the meal just fell flat.

Me and my girlfriend stopped in for lunch on 8÷9÷2015 after visiting the flee market. We sat on the porch because we had our dogs. The resturant not only welcomed us and our dogs but also brought them a bowl of water, which was very thoughtful. My girlfriend had a turkey club sandwhich with a strong bow cider to drink and I had the Chesapeake sandwhich with a guiness.
Chesapeake sandwhich, first off let me say if you are hungry this is the place to come, the proportions are HUGE! My sandwhich was very well crafted, fresh ingredients and the chicken was cooked to near perfection. ⁴⁄₅
Turkey club, again the sandwhich was ginormous, the sandwhich was very good as well. The ingredients were fresh and crisp. My girlfriend was very pleased with this sandwhich. ⁴⁄₅
The drinks were served cold, with a great pour (perfect amount of head).
This place is a great place to grab a bite and some drinks, I highly recommend this to anyone in the Fells point area, especially if you have some Fury friends with you.

Taylor swift, Katy perry, Hannah Montana, Lizzie McGuire, bouncy ball beer pong, comfy couches, free crab cakes, baseball watching, dancing, iPhones charging on the wall kinda bar. A place to be! It’s called dog watch tavern because this bar is for the dog lovers – you’ll know from the décor!

I had a super rude bartender and my wings were raw. Nope.

It was an okay first experience, but there were a couple things that could have been a little better. The water had a funny taste to it, as if the dispensing line was mixing it with something else, and the Coke was too syrupy and a little flat. Maybe the lines need to be cleaned, and that could help rectify some of that.
My nachos were pretty good. I requested a sample of the chili first before selecting them to eat. And since we were there at the right time, they ended up being discounted for happy hour. I had requested no sour cream, but the first batch had a huge plop of it on top. Second batch (in the photo) was good to go.
The jerk wings (as I was told) tasted like a strange combination of salty-​sweet-​fruity, and he was a little underwhelmed by them but finished them anyway.
As for the atmosphere, I could see how this would be a cozy chill spot. Immediately upon entering, you notice the living-​room– type setup on the right with the couch, coffee table, & tvs. To your left is the bar, with a small room off behind that. There is a skee ball game off in one corner, and another seating area up some steps (didn’t check out the amenities up there).
The server/​bartender was attentive and apologetic about the soda and the nachos. Apparently, she made a meal out of the first batch that was wrong, so at least they didn’t go to waste.
Some of the prices seemed a bit high, but several of the options sounded tempting. If I go back, I would definitely like to try something else from the menu.
I don’t know that I’d say it’s «good for kids,» (since they ask in the survey questions) but it was early in the day, and there were a couple young (pre-​teen/​early teen?) boys there hanging out on the couch & watching tv while they ate. They do offer a kids’ menu, I think.
The music playing were familiar 90s songs, and the noise level was just fine. It wasn’t crowded while we were there, but the staff had been setting up what looked like a party area, and there were at least 20+ people all coming in at the same time as we were leaving, so I’m guessing it was for them.
It was 95 degrees out today, and the door was kept open. Not sure if they were trying to cool off the outdoors, but it didn’t help the inside so much.
