Comcast Service Center

Comcast customer service is absolutely the WORST. They disconnected my internet for no reason when I payed my bill. When I call them to restart my service, they told me my previous plan which has a promotional rate is no longer available and they need to charge me $ 10 more each month. So they disconnected me to charge me $ 10 more each month without an explanation! What kind of company is that ! Absolutely the WORST!!!

Comcast is the worst!!! I’m sure you all have your own horror stories, so I won’t trouble you with mine. But yikes. Their Customer Service is useless.

Ugh Comcast is the worst. The service at this location is incredibly slow and they make it Suh a hassle to return anything. If I could have a better internet service I totally would, but my apartment is only services by Comcast. Overpriced and super slow.
I had to come to this location to return my internet modem and they do NOT make this process easy or fast at ALL. Why isn’t there somewhere we can just come in and drop them off and be off? Worst worst worst company.

I went late in the day and no line and no attitude. Service was polite and they did answer all my questions. I can see why a lot of people get frustrated with the center. I ordered my box and it was missing quite a few items.

If you call them for something that is their fault make sure that the tech records it as such. I had a hell of a time getting a charge reversed and then they act like they are doing me a big favor. Their hardware here on our block is ridiculously overloaded but it works, glad I don’t have HD TV from them, willing to bet the TV gets pixelated. Despite that everything works the way it is supposed to. I have phone and internet only. It all works fine as does the Xfinity Connect app on my cell phone.

I just moved to Baltimore and had them send me the box for self installation. I installed it on Sunday and by Tuesday the box wasn’t responding to the remote. I called and after restarting and reprogramming the agent said she thought I got a bad remote. She told me I could go to the service center and swap it out. They don’t have that many service centers in the area despite having a total monopoly.
When I got here the line was about 15 people long and there were 4 or 5 agents working the desk… But it seems like they can’t work at the same time or something because the desk was never full with agents and customers being served. I waited in line for a good 30 minutes. However I will say it was a simple fix. I told the woman my problem and she didn’t even need to pull up my account. She just gave me a new remote. I was at the desk for about 30 seconds.
I expect places like this to be about equally as awful as the dreaded DMV and this place lives up to that. Avoid it if you can.

Well if you go in you will figure why the overall rating of this place didn’t exceed more than a single star!
The customer service is rude, lazy and unknowledgeable you must avoid here unless you enjoy the bad service!

so when we initially signed up for service, we decided to get the double play with blast 105mb internet. they were supposed to send a self install kit, never got it. so we had a tech come out one day and said it was too hot to climb a ladder and hook up a wire (mind you I work construction… and was doing way more on that same day) because ours was old. so had to wait again. finally got service. my wife wanted to add hbo, and they did. what they also did was change our package, without telling us, to one with 25mb Internet speed. The whole point of us having comcast was for the 105mb speed.
Fast forward to yesterday Feb 2015
So over the months I noticed the Internet was not as fast as it should be. My wife usually handles the billing with comcast, I just so happened to take a deeper look into what we’re supposed to be getting as far as service, and bam… the second month of service we got switched to the crappy Internet because we added hbo, which I guess, isn’t part of the blast Internet package. Before checking the bill, I though it was a hardware issue. So I purchased a docsis 3.0 modem and a linksys ac1900 router. Which was a waste because come to find out, we were never going to get 105mb speeds because we were being castrated.
So my wife calls customer disservice and they explained what happened, she tried to talking to a manager but your have to fill out a form just to do that. So they call back and say that we would have to pay $ 10 extra to get the service. So I figure, to avoid further headache we would return the modem, which we were being charged $ 10/​month and it would offset the increase.
The next day I call to change the Internet service, the woman, who seemed disinterested in her job, told me it would be $ 12 extra a month, instead of $ 10. After arguing about it, I just gave up and told her to change it because I was switching modems anyway. She transfers me to the Internet department, which I must say was the least painful part of this process, to setup the new modem. Once completed, I noticed I was still getting the same slow speeds. So I call them back, and come to find out, that b! tch didn’t change anything! So I had to go through that whole spiel with them again trying to offer me stuff that I don’t want, but alas I finally get the speed increase… until I hooked up the router. Now this part isn’t comcast fault but they have people are absolutely incompetent working in their Internet department.
So after getting the 105mb speed hook up, we tested it through the router and it was still slow, I told the guy I purchased the router and modem separately but the still sent me to their Internet department. I figured they know more than me about networking maybe they could help. The guy I talked to there told me he wouldn’t be able to help because it was my own equipment .duh. He also told me I wouldn’t be able to access the router anyway… even though I was inside it as I was talking to him, and tried to give me the number to linksys, which is printed on the box… along with how to access the router.
Long and short of it the router was actually defective, so I exchanged it and everything works now.
…now I have to go to metro drive and return their modem. Which I already know what’s gonna happen. Im going to return this modem, and proceed to still get charged for it because the people that work for this company are inept.

Comcast is the worst company in America. I wish I could give negative stars. My most recent moving experience: They called me before my installation appointment to offer a special deal where they send me the equipment to set up cable myself, for a small $ 30 mailing fee. I declined, so they sent a technician who then wasn’t able to set up the cable. The outside technician didn’t show up to the next appointment, and then they tried to reschedule me for the next available appointment, 9 days away. It eventually took 6 separate appointments, with all the requisite time off work so I could be there, to get cable installed correctly. Plus they promised to take all the fees off my bill and then didn’t. They also tried to charge me for cable from the date of the first installation appointment, even though they weren’t able to get the cable working until 3 weeks after that original date. And this is just for comcast’s Baltimore location!
Comcast in Charlottesville, VA once sent a technician who asked me «are you a Jew?» Then he said I shouldn’t feel too bad about it because he’s part Polish. Then, to add insult to injury, he installed my cable incorrectly! To quote basic b*tches, I can’t even.
Another time, they called me to try to upsell me on my already $ 150 bill, and I got so mad that I cancelled them right then and there. It felt great, but now I’m back in an area where they have a monopoly, and can treat their customers like dirt, with no repercussions. Once you get through dealing with the seemingly alternate universe that is their customer service, and once they actually install cable, the product itself is fine, but god forbid you need any assistance or customer service– they are totally inept and corrupt.

I just wanted to return my cable boxes since I had just recently moved. Why is it taking do damn long? I’m in the line as I type, the line is twenty deep and one rep is handling everything! Is it closing time? There were 3 reps but two disappeared to the back. You can actually hear them in the back talking and laughing, poorly managed lacking professionalism!

Poor Service. Reps sit and talk with each other and barely do any work. walked in 25 ppl ahead of me and 2 ½ hour wait time to see someone, totally unacceptable!

To make it clear, this review is about this particular Comcast location… not Comcast’s service or what not.
Anyways, I try not to give out one star reviews because I usually try to find something acceptable about the business. But after coming here on multiple occasions and experiencing the same level of ineptness each time, I feel like I’m being generous with a one star. This place is poorly run (to put it nicely).
Each time I’ve come here, there is a ridiculously long line. On my most recent trip here, my mission was to simply drop off a cable box (friend was moving out of town and had to return it). It took us over an hour for a job that should have taken literally one or two minutes!
We first arrived and noticed that the parking lot was completely full. People were circling around trying to find a spot to park or even parking on the side of the curb (despite it not actually being a parking spot). I dropped my friend off and proceeded to try and find a place… but to no avail. The completely ridiculous thing though was that the employee lot was COMPLETELY empty (I’m talking like easily 20 spaces open). I don’t know where all the employees were or if they normally fill up the employee lot… but it really felt like a waste of space and made it a bigger hassle for customers. I actually just parked there and walked in (because I’m a rebel like that). I guess you can do the same too at your own risk (I don’t know if they ticket or tow or anything like that).
Anyways, once inside, the line was FREAKING long. It was so long that some people would walk in, mutter, «oh hell no…» and turn around and go home. The place seemed poorly managed. For instance, there were pictures of movies and stuff that were faded and well past their prime. Not really anything important, but it just shows the lack of management. There were broken payment kiosks that look unused for some time (probably adding to the length of the line). And I didn’t get why something simple like returning a box required us to stand in a line (for over an hour!) watching other customers who took up to twenty minutes talking with the rep to sort out billing issues or what have you. Wouldn’t it make more sense to have a separate line for returns? And if there are no returns, have that representative take on normal customers? Like how many bank branches have a separate line for business customers but call on regular customers if there is no business people waiting?
The time of day doesn’t seem to matter much either. I’ve experienced the same thing early in the day (10AM ish) and later in the day (4PM ish).
Yeah… so overall, this place is just horrible. I switched to Verizon not too long ago for various reasons… but knowing that I’ll have to one day return my modem to this inept place makes me NOT want to get Comcast again.

I went to Comcast at 5801 Metro Drive to return a cable box for a client. If I’ve ever thought about switching from Direct TV to Comcast, the Comcast experience helped beat that thought out of me.
There were 3 attendants working sporadically at the counter. One spent most of her time fiddling with a placard that read «wait to be called on» while she casually gazed at anxious customers waiting for that magic word, «NEXT.» Remember the «Soup Nazi» episode from Seinfeld. Well it was sort of like that, except without the efficiency. I was eleventh in line and it took just shy of an hour before I got to my 25 second transaction. But there was entertainment while I waited. One woman let her child run wild all over the place while she repeatedly threatened to do bodily harm if the child didn’t behave. The child, apparently having heard empty threats before, was undeterred from pulling at the display of boxes trumpeting some new Comcast program. Another customer, who apparently hadn’t budgeted sufficient time for his visit, became extremely agitated before advising the attendants which parts of his body they could become intimate. As he stormed out, he said that if they wanted their money, they could come to his house and get it, but I’m not certain he was being sincere. One customer decided to leave several cable boxes at an unmanned counter and snapped a picture with his IPAD, presumably as proof of return. The good thing about my visit to Comcast is the way it made me appreciate the Fayette Street Post Office and DMVs all over the Baltimore Metro area.

Comcast in general is a shitty arse company about to leave them for someone anyone. How are you all of a sudden going to start charging me $ 7 when i have had my own modem for 2 plus years. I am going to give them my piece of mind tomorrow. Lousy company.

Just moved into my new place in pikesville… Customer service sucks… the rep that the complex told us to use DALLAS is a hot mess… first he promised services like free HBO for a year, and a free DVR box and a regular box for the living room as we were comparing comcast with verizon. The verizon rep told me that comcast had a lot of «extra charges that they do not inform you of» and I did not believe him… I soooooo should have listened. When I signed with Comcast and received the self install kit… I asked them what my bill would be and it went from the quoted $ 86.99/ month to $ 140. I promptly told them to come and get that crap out of my house. I was then told by the rep that he would resolve everything for me due to the «misquote (aka LIES)» by Dallas… and my new bill would be $ 86.99. Three days later when I called back to set up my wireless internet… SURPRISE…the rep did not fix a thing (I will list his name tomorrow, it just eludes me at the moment)…so once again I said TV is not worth all of this and a manager was supposed to call me within 2 hours… that was a week ago… so when I callled back the rep that I spoke with fixed everything and even did a follow up call a few days later… two days ago I received a bill that was over $ 200. was billed for 61 days of service and have not even lived in my place for 20 days… HA! When I called COMCAST I was told that it needed to be escalated and someone would call me in three days… well…in three days I intend to be at COMCAST headquarters in wWhite Marsh, MD on Corporate drive with a news camera crew, a copy of my bill, and a copy of my lease.

Comcast is really a sneaky company which hides a lot of their actions in their contract. The reason why their bills increase is because you are paying for the next month as well, (by the way, they don’t mention that in the first 4 paragraph statements). But still, since you payed for the next month, you are still under their ‘services’. I called them about it, and they tried to lead the subject off-​topic. Can you fucking believe that!!! (well I bet you guys do, since it’s Comcast.)
Second off, their channels are limited, very limited, and their channel packages are way too many, at really un-​motivating prices, with the addition that you need to have another server, lets just say HD package, to have the channels work. In the past three months, I payed almost $ 900. This company needs to leave. Why isn’t their Direct TV on the fucking East coast which actually works in my area? If Comcast wants to make a fucking monopoly, at least make the quality of the product pristine, and easy to use.
One more thing, I read a forum which explains why they drop or play hot potato with the caller. Apparently they only reach out to customers which can ‘negotiate’ and are easy to work with. Apparently this is the business world, and as a FUCKING CUSTOMER, THIS IS COMPLETE BULL-​FUCKING-​SHIT!!! A company which expect standards from their customers should be banned from being in the market! The customer is ALWAYS FUCKING RIGHT, and shouldn’t have the managers or their spokesmen tell them incorrect information because we are pissed! I am sick and tired of paying loads of money just so I can get shitty quality TV, and being held up at the fucking phone for an hour, and then being hung up on. This is applied to all Comcasts in the flipping US.

These are the worst people to do business with. Their rates continue to grow and GROW and GROW! Their service is non-​existent. Try to deal with their 800 number and the myriad of prompts, then the we are open during business hours voice mail, and it doesn’t get any better when you get a live person.
They can only operate in the «box.»

First of all, price gouging. Comcast will do anything to raise your bill and hope that you will not dispute charges. I signed up for service on August 17^th and got a bill for 49.90 that had a due date of 9÷15÷12. When I logged in online it said my bill was past due, and I owed 89.95. I haven’t even had service for a month and they are trying to get away with this! Now I have to budget 2 hours to clear this up.
Second, the wasted time dealing with «support.» If you have to contact them, make sure to budget at least an hour or more. No one has any idea what is going on and the simplest thing, such as getting your password reset takes a very long time. For the amount of money this company makes, their ineptitude is astonishing.
I’m giving comcast 1 star, because once you have service, it is usually uninterrupted. The problem comes any time you must deal with the company ie turning service on or off, changing service

Insructions to the inconvenienced teller behind the bullet proof glass, «Put $ 20 on the trifecta on the third race».
What? This isn’t the Pimlico race track across the road?
Didn’t we just navigate a parking lot littered with congealed saucey wing containers, crushed Newport boxes, and brown bagged shattered 40oz soldiers? Comcast’s parking lot gets you teary for old skool Pimlico businessman fridays at the track.
The rent a cop divides the terrifying clientelle into the 30 deep painfully slow «monthly bill» line, and the more upscale, evidenced by Rocca Wear logos, «equipment» line.
Once at home, the new equipment box doesn’t work properly even after three customer service follow up calls.
Do your self a HUGE favor and make the customer service telephone rep mail the equipment to your house in order to avoid the Metro Drive office at all costs.
Thank you Comcast for the entitlement to this drudgery. Please be gentle as you graduate us to your next onslaught of mandatory Baltimore City monopoly fees.

I don’t even know where to begin with this incompetent company. Since having moved back to the Baltimore area I have had to contact them 6– yes SIX times over the last 2 weeks to get help with cable service. Every time they fix one problem, they end up creating another.
I have wasted over 7 hours of my time on the phone and/​or chat trying to resolve these issues.
I honestly have never seen anything like it in my life…

Hands down the most frustrating internet service I’ve ever had. The installer was unprofessional, inept, and caused me to reschedule multiple times leading me to meet more unprofessional and inept installers. There was an issue with the wire housing in my apartment building not having a cable connection to my apartment, which made no sense. What made it doubly difficult was the fact that none of the cables in the wire housing were labeled for any of the apartments so a simple install took three reschedules and hours each time where, each and every time, the installers expressed their displeasure with having to trouble shoot (do their job).
I eventually figured it out myself. The Comcast installers that ran all the apartment wires didn’t connect my, and only my, cable wire to the main box but instead buried it in the ground with a cap on it. That discovery exemplifies how horrible and lazy Comcast is.
Other notes:
Tech support sucks, they are rude.
Customer service is atrocious.
They simply do not care about you or your business because they don’t have to.
