Chesapeake Strings provides elegant classical music for your wedding or event. We are all classically trained professional musicians and are comfortable playing classics like «Pachelbel’s Canon» as well as popular songs like «Viva La Vida.» We take song requests, and can arrange just about anything for a string ensemble of your choosing. We offer string soloists (violin, viola, or cello), string duos (violin/​viola or violin/​cello), string trios (violin, viola, cello), and string quartets (two violins/​viola/​cello). History

Established in 2010.

Chesapeake Strings was formed when our members decided that we wanted to provide the absolute highest level of musical performance and customer service to our clients. Elizabeth (violist, founder), Justin (violinist), and Devree (cellist) each have 8 – 10 years of prior event performance experience.

Business Owner

Elizabeth founded Chesapeake Strings as a string trio, wanting to give brides truly professional and polished music for their weddings. The Chesapeake Strings trio met while pursuing graduate degrees at the University of Maryland, College Park. Having graduated from Rice University and UMD, Elizabeth currently plays viola in the Richmond Symphony but still lives in the Baltimore area.
