History
Established in 2012.
Channel Wind Communications provides communications, editorial, and content marketing services to companies and nonprofit organizations. With a focus on message, identity, and brand, Channel Wind helps clients pinpoint the message and information they want their audiences to receive. That expertise allows Channel Wind to both craft the right communications and help organizations understand their identity, brand, and even core business.
After working as a professional writer and communicator for 15 years, I started Channel Wind because I love helping organizations find the right words to get their message across, and I saw a big need out there for those kinds of services, from content marketing to reports and identity/brand work. My background in renewable energy, both in marketing communications and public affairs, allowed me to be a part of campaigns in which every word counted. In fact, every word always counts – so choose them wisely.

Business Owner
My name is Carl Levesque, and I’ve been a professional writer and communicator for over 17 years. After establishing a strong foundation in business communications by working as a journalist, I transitioned from journalism to communications in 2006, building expertise in messaging, marketing, and renewable energy.
I honed my writing craft first as a journalist covering the energy industry as a staff writer for Public Utilities Fortnightly magazine and in the association sector as senior editor at Association Management magazine. I’ve also covered many other industries and topics, from home building to the arts, both in staff positions and as a freelance writer. I received my B.A. from James Madison University. Prior to my current career, I worked with homeless youth and as a teacher in New Orleans – an amazing and formative experience for me. I published my first novel, under the name C.J. Levesque, in 2014.
