What a ripoff! Ordered the Curry Tempura Rice Bowl. Nearly $ 10 for steamed white rice, a few slices of cabbage, curry sauce, and two small fried shrimp! Will not eat here again.

5 stars for Joseph, 1 star for the food and service. I’ve tried this place several times and, to be quite frank, it doesn’t live up to its name. Several times I’ve ordered here to try out the different items here but the guy behind the counter seems to get my order wrong(my bento box became a chicken don, and bulgogi don into pork don). The sushi is somewhat decent, as well as the curry, but the bubble tea portions are too full of ice and not that great. Whatever you do, do not order the ramen. The ‘ramen’ here can’t be called ramen. It’s literally bean sprout water with coloring with packaged noodles and old pork — not the most ideal ramen. The rice dishes also are pretty much cooked meat with the respective sauces thrown on top. Ask for extra sauce if you order this, since it’s the only thing that saves the rice dishes. Joseph is a pretty good guy here though! He’s super nice and he is extremely friendly. He gets 5 stars for service! :)

I’m sorry, but powdered tea is not real tea. I was so excited to hear that there was a place on campus that sold milk tea, so imagine my surprise when the green milk tea I ordered was actually green in color. The boba was alright, bit too sweet, and the drink is basically half ice. I haven’t tried the other food items, but I might come back to try the ramen. Still hella salty about that bubble tea though.

Best food on the Hopkins campus. Great staff, good options, quick turnaround, and a nice environment.

Located on the JHU campus. The restaurant itself is in a small building but has a nice atmosphere and window seats. Outside seating in the summer. Bubble tea comes in several flavors including green tea and black tea, making it very popular– so popular that the afternoon after the lunch rush, they will probably be out of one or two flavors. It is made with a powder but still good for a bubble tea craving. Some food on the menu is good, but some are so-so. Ramen and the banh mi are pretty good. Sometimes there are chef’s specials as well.

My boyfriend and I were excited to try this place but a few things were strange/bad about the food and service. First the man behind the counter walked away in the middle of taking our order. It was really rude and uncomfortable. I had to call him back over to finish putting in the order. We got 2 bento boxes, one with beef and one with pork. Neither of us finished the meal. The meat was super greasy and had tons of fat and connective tissue throughout. The bubble tea was kind of just standard powdered and over sweetened. The California roll was the only decent thing in the bento. One friendly employee brought us some curry, which was kind but ultimately he made us feel really bad for not diving into it. He saw we hadn’t eaten much and said something like«Asian food isn’t for everyone.» Maybe this is just their summer staff but we will probably not be going back. I recommend spending your money at Niwana around the corner instead, or Ejji ramen in Belvedere, or Brown Rice a little further south.

Love their bubble tea. I have tried almond, coconut, mango, etc. I mostly go here for bubble tea but their food is good too. I usually get their tofu items from the menu, which are tasty. I tried their warm ginger tea once and that was good too. Once they messed up a bubble tea order but that was only one out of many of my orders so no big deal. Service is fast and friendly.

It would be a good friend for students cuz it is really close to the library and the food is not bad.

They were originally selling vietnames cuisine but now they are mostly selling korean foods, which i think are much better than those at niwana or ajuma, in terms of the taste and the price.

I am obsessed with their tofu bahn-mi sandwich. It is SO delicious — fresh toppings, tasty sauces, and a good amount of tofu. The boba tea is a little hit-or-miss depending on who makes it for you, but they’re willing to blend it with ice if that’s your preference, and the tapioca balls are good. I personally always go for the Taro flavor.

Went back for the buns — definitely better than the phở, but not worth getting again unless I’m desperate.

This place is overpriced and terrible. It replaced Silk Road, which was affordable and delicious. Here, you get a half-filled boba(which are terrible here btw) tea for the price of a full. The phở tastes weird, the noodles are undercooked and to top it, you get a measly quantity for the price you pay. Just goes to show corporate greed. They probably paid a ton of money to Hopkins to out-bid Silk Road and now they are getting that money back by squeezing the Hopkins community.
