Returned the following day after contacting the manager of the service department and describing my interactions with the service advisors. When I called later that day and spoke with the service center manager Barry, he was incredibly helpful and concerned both about my negative experience and about getting my car checked out before a big snowstorm rolling in the next day. I came in the next morning and was helped by Wayne, who was friendly and cheerful, and got things rolling right away, despite the frenzy the center was in due to the impending storm. I ended up waiting for almost 4 hours for the car, but it was worth it to have a safe drive. My only complaint is I was not informed directly about the results of the diagnostic and what repairs they were proceeding with. However, an hour and a half into waiting, Barry came out with the general manager Mike to let me know they were almost done with the work and were going to clean up the car inside and out as well. I felt very well taken care of and was glad to have a good experience with the folks at AutoNation once again. The other day was definitely a fluke, and not their normal way of treating customers.

The team at Autonation was wonderful. Nate took the time to explain my options and discounts, and Mike and Mike were pleasant and engaging. Thank you to the team for getting me in my great Cruze! Highly recommended!

So we are right back. More disappointed then angry but my friend was in rage because here is the deal! The general manager Mr. Mike Longan apologized and wanted to fix the other issues with the car PROMISED me a loaner while the car is being looked at because I explained to him how my days do not stop! I am in constant motion on days off, so he promised me a loaner, made the appointment and just told me to come everything is taken care of. Sooooooooooooooo, today I get there all ready to exchange items, drop my car off and keep moving! That didn’t happen, my service advisor said it won’t take long (it takes an hour for an oil change there mind you, no problem I just know truth) again I been a customer forever!!! 15 long years ok!!!’ Anyhow, the issue with the housing on the seat I know in my heart will take longer than an hour to fix! I mean it needs a new unit! But again I am just ready to go! I have things to do! My spot was at 8! I got there on time car was taken back. I was asked «do you have a ride ?» Me «no I was told I would have a loaner !» (puzzled look… Advisor «well it’s not going to take long, it will take longer to do the paper work for a loaner !» Me” well… Umm but never mind, I will just call my friend to get me !!!” I called my friend who was heated because they was aware of the deal!!! They came and raised holy hell demanded my car back. Did not want it serviced until the general manager was aware of the situation !! So we took my car and left! Needless to say the advisor was upset! I just do know things are so hard!!! I am not an hard customer. I know how dealing with the public can be because I had retail jobs in past and I currently work in nursing. I know how some people are never satisfied ! I am not that customer. You can tell by my reviews that I am pretty fair! I do not nick pick! Anyhow I guess Monday I shall have another update once I talk to the general manager

My vehicle was there for repairs after an accident and another body shop half completed the work. The service department did everything to make me feel comfortable with the process CHRIS Wilson is a God send and a true customer service advocate. The way that he handled my situation sold me and made me a life time customer!

Great service, the Service manager Barry approach me to see if i was happy with the service and addressed every single issue. My previous experience years ago wasnt this good. Im glad they are trying to improved the customer experience bringing very qualified people.

I love going back to places especially if I may have had a bad experience with them and I can walk away pleased. You cant give any business just one chance. I had a flat and my car was towed to AutoNation very early in the morning with little notice. I didn’t know how things would go but I can say everything went smoothly. My tire has been replaced and at a Fair price. Trip #3 will be a full tune-​up.

I’m really surprised by the reviews since I just had a great experience with AutoNation’s Service department. I recently purchased a used car from another Chevy dealership in Elliott City. So far, this 2013 used car with only 20K miles has broken down twice. Fully broken down to the point that I have needed it towed. The first time, I towed it to the other dealer that I had just purchased the car from (I won’t name names since the jury is still out on them). The process was a complete hassle since their service department is only open until 5:30 during the week and is completely closed on weekends. My car broke down on a Friday at 5pm, so it was a bit of a hassle to get the car there and it wasn’t even looked at until Monday morning. Fast forward two weeks… my car breaks down again. Again on a Friday around 5pm. I called the same dealership in Elliott City. Was put on hold for 20 minutes while I sat in a broken down car in 90 degree heat. When I finally got someone on the phone, I was essentially told that they couldn’t do much for me. I needed to get a courtesy vehicle because I work an hour south in Rockville. They told me that since they close at 5:30 and could not arrange a courtesy vehicle until they received my towed car, they could not be of any help. Great. I was about 5 minutes down the road from Autonation, so I gave them a try. I was on the phone with one of their service advisers, Chris Wilson, within 5 minutes of calling. He was incredibly helpful. He assured me that they could arrange for a courtesy vehicle with no problem. I set up for my car to get towed to their location and called Chris back with the estimated arrival time. Since it was going to take them an 1.5 hours to get there due to it being rush hour, Chris told me I could come by and pick up the courtesy vehicle so that I was set to go when the tow truck arrived. My boyfriend had just made it to my car, so we drove to pick up the courtesy vehicle. I was in and out of AutoNation within 10 minutes with a courtesy car. I received a call on Monday letting me know what the problem was with my car and letting me know that they ordered the part needed to fix it. The part arrived on Tuesday and was fixed later that day. I picked up my car on Wednesday and again, was in and out in 10 minutes. I really can’t thank Chris at AutoNation enough. It was a nice change from the other dealership down the road.

The service department here is not somewhere I would return, or send a friend. they tried to cheat me on labor hours. they wanted to charge $ 150 in larbor to put a battery in after the Service Advisor (Wayne) told me it would only take 30 minutes to install. I can personally put a battery in a car in under 15 minutes, and reset the cars computer system in less then 10 minutes. which means that 30 is a more then enough time. I would have never agreed to pay $ 280 for a battery replacement. something that could have been done for less then $ 100 on my own. The blower is that I purchased this car from them in September so why did I even need a new car battery in 8 months? I was a loyal auto sales customer at this location having purchased 3 cars and sending a number of friends who also got cars. They just lost a customer for the dishonest practies in the Service Department.

SERVICE REVIEW BEWARE– was asked to write a review for them before after having a service back in October had an oil change and tire rotation and then a couple days after that my tire pressure monitoring system stopped working. I took the car back after making an appointment just to get all the monitors replaced I figured my car was now 4 yrs old they probably needed replacing the service Advisor Wayne looked at me and told me he had no time to do my car after I made an appointment I was getting the sensors from them and everything just wanted my car fixed. I usually take my car to the dealership where I bought my Chevy but got lazy cause it is a little ways from my house in clarksville the whole service team and sales team out there is amazing at Winkelly. You can call and actually talk to a technician about your car not a service Advisor who don’t know about a car they not ASE certified. So I usually don’t do reviews unless I have something nice to say so I didn’t do the review in October. I am doing a review now because of my latest encounter with them. My car was taken to them on a Wed morning it would not start and the service Advisor Everett told me it would take him a couple of hours to get it in and get it diagnose and give me a call. Well I ended up calling him around the end of the day and he had nothing for me the car had not been diagnose. Well this I’ll give you call as soon as I know something went on everyday and he never called me I ended up calling him around 3:30 in the afternoon for several days because the last courtesy shuttle ran at 4 pm. well he told me for at least three days the car had not been diagnose and he had no clue still what was wrong with my car questioning him he was like we have people cars for weeks. Its going on a week now still no car they say my car needs a battery wow that’s something you could have knew first day they got it started now another issue. meanwhile I still don’t have a car no good customer service cause I have to call Everett all the time he never thought to call to give me any kind of update and that was the most frustrating thing. He never knew anything either until I called my real dealership WINKELLY and arranged to tow my car to them because I was tired of the B.S. at AUTO NATION. Soon as I went up there to remove my car all of a sudden he wants to call me and tell me he knows whats wrong with my car and can have it fixed today. At this point I just wanted my car off their lot. I let him fix it took it off their lot. Don’t buy that extended warranty they call you wanting you to buy to because MR. Everett made sure my stuff wasn’t covered by the warranty. It’s all a shame. PLEASE BE WARE DON’T TAKE YOUR CAR THERE FOR SERVICE. I have heard people talking about just leaving there the day before and they back today with the same problem and their car still wasn’t fixed.

Service review — I have been twice now to have my husband’s truck serviced. And the service people have always been really nice (though the girl at the cashier desk was kinda rude) My only real complaint is that I don’t get the purpose of making a reservation when a basic oil change still takes two hours. And cost the same as going to Jiffy Lube where it rarely takes more than 30 min. And if the 10 or 20 point inspection (whatever it is) takes 90 minutes then I believe I should be able to opt out and only get the oil change.

The sales people were very nice, the car was in stock, and the price was great. However, the overall process of buying a car was really drawn out — we sat for almost 2 hours waiting for a finance person to complete the paperwork (we’d been able to do most of it online.) OK, they were busy. Understandable. Still not efficient, but understandable. Cut to a week later when they lost or shredded a portion of our bank information, a flurry of faxes, and now we have to submit all the information again. It’d be great if they’d get the processes a little more in shape.
