Schnuck’s Markets

I love schnucks in general. This is not my favorite location but my second and closer to home. The produce department has really improved ALOT over the last year. Produce has been better stocked and fresh.

ACTUALLY THEY DESERVE NO STARS WHAT-​SO-​EVER! This store STINKS. We have lived here for 20 years and the Ballwin store has never improved on their customer service and UNFRIENDLY staff. I will go out of my way NOT to patronize this establishment. I love the Schnucks stores on Big Bend and Kehrs Mill and even Wildwood, but the Ballwin store has the worst staff and CS of any grocery chain around. You can hear the cashiers and baggers talk about you when you leave. So unprofessional. AND so sad…

This chain is not in my area but wish it was available. This is a step up from publix. They have a great variety of produce/​meats/​dairy but the prices are a bit on the high side. Example is ghost peppers area available but at 4.99 for 5 peppers. this is steep but then again less you grow then like I do you won’t find them. That goes for pretty much everything there. Great variety but expect to pay for it

I stop in here periodically when in the area. It’s in the same plaza as the West County License Bureau.
I always get nice check-​out folks, especially in the self check-​out area.
I’m not an expert in this store, because all Schnuck’s stores aren’t the same.
But I find what I need. And that works, when I’m the area.

I went here as I was in the area on my way home from class. The last time I visited, they were just starting to update things and it was a WRECK. To my surprise, everything is nice and fancy aesthetic-​wise. Reminds me of the newer Schnucks like the Des Peres store. Things are generally the same except for the pharmacy which has moved to the front as well as a new front area that, when finished, can be used for dining in. So far it just looks like a cramped glass box, but we’ll see how that goes when it is ready.
The liquor section is top notch now, almost seemingly expanding their cooler to segregate the macro and the micro brews. It wa sconfusiing at first but once you realize what they did, you will thank them for how the organized that section.
