If heaven doesn’t have their rum rolls, I’m not going. It has an old-time feel and the bakers and staff there are super friendly and welcoming!

I’ve loved this place since as long as I’ve lived in the area which was circa 1995. The cookies here are so fresh and perfect. The smiley face cookies are what they’re known for and they are fantastic in every way. They are sugar cookies with a coat of frosting and a smiley face drawn in chocolate. They have perfected this cookie and I have loved it for many years. It’s density and sweetness are a perfect treat! The donuts here are also fresh and worthy of a try! It also smells like heaven in the store, so stop by, take a whiff, and buy yourself some goodies!

Party pastry is a family tradition for us. We have bought rum rolls for Thanksgiving and Christmas every year for 30 years. I also recommend the assorted dinner rolls, the Carmel pecan rolls and the mini cakes. Of course, we can’t leave without a dozen chocolate chip cookies or a big holiday decorated sugar cookie. The prices are reasonable and in all these years we’ve never once been disappointed.

I stopped in to Party Pastry on Wednesday afternoon because I was in the neighborhood. As a side note I grew up not far from here as a young child and this is the bakery my mother took me to when I was a kid and most of my birthday party cakes were from. I had not been in here in more than two decades. It smelled amazing! I picked up two Halloween cookies for a friend who was taking me out to dinner and some other cookies to take home. All of the coffee cakes looked just as I remember them. So did the sugar cookies. I remember them giving kids a sugar cookie when I was a kid. It looked and smelled exactly the same. Everything was excellent and my friend raved about the Halloween cookies with lots of icing.

Good treats… But VERY poor customer service. They left me high and dry with an order I had placed two weeks in Advance for dessert for a party of 40. When I came to pick up they just offered a «sorry, the dessert did not set». I understand that mistakes happen, but it’s how you handle them that came make a difference.

This is my first time here. I never knew it existed because it is tucked away. The chocolate devil’s food came thing was awesome. I love the Apple turnover too. I will definitely be back.

This use to be the best kept secret in St Louis County. I have sent so many friends and coworkers there over the years and have used it for my personal and work functions. The last couple of times I have been there, however have been a bit of a disappointment. Two sheet cakes cracked and donuts that seemed to have been stored upside down waiting for my pickup. When the problem was pointed out there was a half-hearted apology with a promise of future compensation that has never materialized. I have found other bakeries that I now use including the local grocery store.

The doughnuts are delicious!!! The long johns are completely amazing– fresh and fluffy! I also think the texture and amount of frosting on each doughnut is perfection. I can’t wait to get more! The coffee is also quite good! I think their cakes are just fine, but I don’t find them particularly extraordinary.

Our family gave Party Pastry another chance this past weekend after an incident last fall in which my husband and I stopped in late on a Saturday afternoon, bought a loaf cake, only to discover that we were sold a cake being readied to be a display cake. tasted horrible, had some kind of shellac/glue on it. took it back, got our money back, but unfortunately, no apology. so, needless to say, we stayed away. Our recent experience, this past Saturday, May 10th was/is not acceptable. I ordered a round cake for my daughters college graduation, half chocolate, half yellow. The cake was to be decorated in her school colors, saying Congratulations Alexa… I picked up the cake Saturday afternoon, about 3:20. The young girl retrieved my cake and asked if I would like to see it, after opening the box, I saw the cake read, Congratulations Alex. the order ticket sitting next to the cake CLEARLY had written on it, Alexa. I pointed it out to the girl, she stated that no one was there, management, etc and there was nothing she could do, «Was that okay?». Umm, NO. my daughters name is NOT Alex.“her reply, was, if we try to out an «a» on it, it won’t match… I asked that they try anyway,(it didn’t and the added«a» did stand out). I also asked if they could do something, such as discount the cake, something?.. No, they did not have the authority,(which I do understand, they are teenagers). However, instead of taking my name, I was told to call the manager myself about my problem… Very disappointed/frustrated, we paid for the cake and left… later when we ate the cake, we noticed that the yellow layer was very thick and the chocolate layer was thin. plus the cake did not seem very fresh, like it had been made several days earlier. Very disappointed and will not return to Party Pastry. and will not recommend them. I know everyone in West county raves about their baked goods and smiley face cookies, but there are other locally owned bakeries that will give your terrific customer service and quality products. Taste of Heaven Bakery in Fenton and Clayton Bakery in Des Peres. Give them a try, I don’t want anyone else to be disappointed!

I tried a few of Party Pastry Shop’s donuts for the first time a few weeks ago. Pretty darn delicious! Our neighbors brought us one of their Gooey Butter Cakes which was also amazing. It has just the right amount of «ooze» to it. Can’t wait to try some of their other goodies as well!

There is no way that you can walk out of this place without succumbing to your sweet tooth. I have had so many good treats here that it is impossible for me to limit my selection choices.

I have only had doughnuts from here and every time we have bought them, they have been delicious. Yes the interior is out of date and could use some cleaning up and maybe some paint here and there but overall the doughnuts are good and that what I mostly care about. I love doughnuts and doughnuts love me.

I went with party pastry for my wedding cake, because they were the most cost effective bakery I could find. The cake tasted good, but didn’t look too great. The icing wasn’t smooth or even, and the cake didn’t look much like the picture I gave them. I love them as a bakery, and will continue to go there for saturday morning treats, but I really wish I had gone elsewhere for my wedding cake. I guess you get what you pay for.

This bakery has«supplied» my family for three generations. Historically the great range of baked goods here has been wonderful. However, since Lake Forest bought it, they’ve made some changes to a few of the old standbys which I didn’t feel were improvements. One of these was the Deep Butter(NOT gooey butter; this is better) Coffee Cake. I was RAISED on Party Pastry Deep Butter. When I lived on the East Coast, my sister was coming to visit and asked if I wanted anything from home(she meant something like a Cardinals’ t-shirt). I told her all I wanted was a Deep Butter Coffee Cake from Party Pastry. YES, they’re THAT good. But like I said, the new owners have since changed the recipe, adding a crumb bottom to it, and it just doesn’t work for me. Why couldn’t they just leave it alone? It was PERFECT!
