Every oberweis looks the same. It’s bright white and red and has a refrigerated milk section. You order the ice cream and it gets brought out to you in a 50’s retro style glass cup. The ice cream here is so good! It’s better than cold stone, brusters, and marble slab. It’s not overly sweet. And not overly creamy. It’s literally perfect in every aspect. Sometimes you get the occasional tiny ice crunches but that just lets you know it’s real. I will always come here when I’m in town. This place has never fallen below the quality of 5 stars.

The ice cream was underwhelming. Ordered coconut chocolate almond and it was coconut with chocolate chips, did not taste any almonds.

I gladly give Oberweis 5⁄5 because it is simply an amazing grade of premium ice cream! The flavors are all very tasty and delicious, the waffle cone was made fresh while I waited for my scoop of blueberry pie, which I thoroughly enjoyed. You can get an Oberweis reward card for $ 1, after 300 points you earn $ 3 off your total purchase. Cool perk but I thought the card should be free of charge. However, at least a reward is offered. They have ice cream my the scoop/pint/quart in the freezer for a small fortune if you plan to share with a group as well as ice cream cakes, milk, milkshakes, frapp’s and coffee drinks. I saw someone order the banana split and it liked like it was handcrafted to perfection; I wanted to take a bite, lol. The mint chocolate chip is superb along with the plain chocolate. Oberweis is a win win ice creamery. Treat yourself, they haven’t been around this long for nothing.

Oberweis ice cream is always tasty, plus I like that the stores have a variety of things you can purchase besides icy sweetness(such as milk, butter, and some other basic groceries). This location is not as big as some in regards to space, but still has a lot yummy goodness available for purchase. Should you want some ice cream, I would recommend trying this pace out.

Great ice cream. world’s slowest service. Tonight when the brought our my order with the wrong flavor icecream, the young woman tried to get me to take the wrong ice cream after I told her the mistake. She got angry and walked away. bringing back the corrected order about three minutes latet(fast for here).

This is ice cream — it is not frozen custard. I know there are many in the area who prefer frozen custard and I certainly like it as well but this place is an ice cream place. Sometimes they seem to forget that and try to push their frozen goods, some kinda cake or beverages — don’t get distracted! Get an ice cream! As far as ice cream goes, this place is the best in the area. I’ve enjoyed Oberweis ice cream since I lived in the Chicago suburbs, where the diary originated. Their offerings are super creamy and delicious. My favorite is their chocolate peanut butter. Add in some hot fudge and you’ve got a real winner of a dessert. It doesn’t really need the hot fudge but it sure does hit the spot. I’ve yet to try two scoops as they are generous enough in their sizing that a single scoop does it for me every time.

Our order one small shake and one child malt. It took 20+ min to get our two items. Many folks who ordered after us were served first. When I finally asked where our order was the store manager said I have a bunch of new high school kids and they mixed up all the orders sorry. When I got my malt it was undrinkable. I believe they left wash water in the bottom of the blender. I will not go back. You are paying for and expect a superior product and mcdonalds is more tasty

My college chum and I stopped in this afternoon ~2 p.m. Not crowded. One woman and two children, and the children were playing chess. Wowee! Darren offered to help us, because we were taking a lot of time looking at the quarts of ice cream. My son had brought home a quart of blueberry cheesecake ice cream. And because I finished it, I felt obligated to replace it, even though he didn’t leave that much. Well, it wasn’t blueberry cheesecake. It was blueberry pie. Darren grabbed one for me. I asked him to be sure it was hard, because I had to drive it home. So, he replaced that one and pulled one from further back in the freezer. So nice. He offered us a taste of their chocolate milk, which was so smooth and creamy. It tasted like a melted chocolate shake. My college chum was looking for banana ice cream. They didn’t have any. But they had banana-fudge-walnut. She declined. I almost got it, because it sounded so decadent. He offered another taste: coconut-chocolate-almond. It was white. I thought it would be chocolate ice cream. It was vanilla with chocolate pieces in it. It was good, but I think the coconut over-powered the chocolate a bit. The almonds were plentiful and very crunchy. Then Darren told us about their milk: skim tastes like 2%, 2% tastes like whole, and whole tastes like heaven. That was a good one. So, when I’d paid $ 6.80 for my quart of ice cream, Darren offered a spoon. Thought better of it, since I was driving. That ice cream is fantastic!

I always thought before that milk is milk, it never really varied much from Schnucks, to Shop & Save to places like Aldi’s however I have to admit that I can tell a difference in the milk at Oberweis. Even though their focus is a dairy products, this store is essentially a Ice Cream Parlor, that happens to sell milk, and other items. I managed to have a Waffle Cone with Birthday Cake Ice Cream. The Waffle Cone was freshly made, and the ice cream was delicious. The service was a little bit slow, they only had two workers, one taking orders and the other running around in the back like a madman trying to make everyones orders. A little extra help here would be nice, overall good experience from a chain style store selling great products.

Top notch for dairy products. America has had many improvements over the last 40 years, but moving away from the dairy is not one of them. Love this place. marvelous shakes and ice cream.

This is my favorite place to grab a chocolate shake in west county. Yes it’s a generic store front chain in a strip mall. But they have AWESOME chocolate shakes. You can also buy milk in glass bottles the way milk should be sold.
