Aztech Geothermal’s goal is to dramatically reduce both operating costs and the environmental impact of buildings without compromising comfort. We specialize in a range of renewable technologies backed by engineering analysis to optimize results. A regional leader in ground source heat pump systems, Aztech is the only firm in Upstate New York to have the full complement of experienced geologists, professional engineers and our own highly trained field personnel. Projects often include other energy efficiency and renewable technologies such as PV Solar (electric) or Solar Thermal Systems. Aztech’s facility is a showcase for geothermal technology with both ducted air distribution and radiant floor areas. Two of our partners are professional engineers and five team members are International Ground Source Heat Pump Accredited (IGSHPA) Installers. We are also a Building Performance Institute (BPI) GoldStar Contractor and a NYSERDA participating contractor.

Business Owner

John Ciovacco is the President of Aztech Geothermal, a design-​build contractor of innovative building energy systems based in Ballston Spa, NY. He is a resource to building owners, construction companies, engineers, architects and investors regarding the latest renewable and energy efficiency technologies, government incentives and financing options. John is an IGSHPA Accredited Geothermal Installer, a Building Performance Institute (BPI) Certified Contractor, a CRBRA Board Member, part of the NY-​GEO organization, and a Certified Green Professional with the NAHB. He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Union College.
