Double G Bagels & Bialys

The bagels are sub par and even worse than the terrible bagels is the owners nasty attitude toward paying customers, and just complete disregard for customer service. Don’t waste your time or money going to this bagel shop with much better bagel places so close.

This location was once a great little bagel shop. Sadly, it is now a sorry example of what a business should not be. Firstly, their name implies that they are a bagel and bialy shop. They stopped making bialys some time ago. Their bagels are lousy, but they do make good twists. That is the last time «good» will be used in this review.
It’s a bad sign when the help quits or whatever. Some of the girls were very nice at one time. I can deal with the poor quality of the baked goods, but it is the outrageous and unfortunate attitude of the owner that I find most appalling.
I stop in there regularly for convenience sake. Sadly, today is the last time that I will ever patronize this store. I had remarked to one of the workers that I had seen her former coworker in another establishment this past weekend. The bagel store had been closed on Mother’s Day and I remarked that I was surprised. that they seem to close quite frequently for a business such as a bagel shop.
The owner confronted me and became nasty and sarcastic with me all because I said that the store was closed too often. He did so in front of others and in a most aggressive and rude manner. I was stunned and said «that’s not how it went down»:
I am proud that I kept my cool and exited the store. He really deserved an earful and more, but I refrained.
I will NEVER go back to this store and I strongly suggest that you avoid it at all cost. There is Bagel Boss, Baldwin Bagel Café, Bagel Plaza and others with a mile or two. I hope this business shuts down and is taken over by people who really care about quality and most of all, respect for their customers. Good riddance!

This is one of the most horrible bagel places I’ve ever been too. The staff is horrible. Customer service is terrible and they argue with you if THEY messed up your order that THEY misheard. I would never recommend this place. The women there all have attitudes and pretend to be nice when the owner is around. Worse place ever.

This is my go to place in the mornings for coffee. As soon as I walk into the store, my coffee is ready. The owner, Pat is the nicest guy. He always works side by side with his staff. The girls are really friendly and always remember what the regulars order each day. Bagels are always fresh. The service is always fast which helps when you’re trying to get to work on time. Love them !!

After having a severe hankering for bagels, a quick google search told me Double G Bagels and Bialys was the closest to where I was. The nice girl at the counter was friendly and patient towards my requests (I asked for all 6 of my bagels to be toasted and then changed my mind).
The selection of bagels were however a bit on the disappointing side. After seeing mini bagels on their menu, I asked what flavors they had to be pointed to a depressing THREE bagel selection. Yeah. One salt and two plain. I understand its noon on a Sunday but I was still shocked as I am more accustomed to the city’s never ending bread baskets and teeming bagel crates. It just wasn’t the case here.
Scallion cream cheese could have been better and prices could be lower for mediocre food.

Stay away from this little bagel store located baldwin shopping mall next to cleaners. The owner is nasty crab who doesn’t trust his own i employees. He brags about how he, doesn’t need more, customers when, I warned him, about a problem. Go to, 24“hour, bagels, in long beach, much better, bagels, and, coffees. The, bagels, are, not, good, here and the service bad.
