We’ve visited here twice. The first time we went with or without recommendation on a Sunday mid morning. Let’s just say that the food, was average. We went a second time in the hopes that it was a one time issue. Nope it was exactly the same. Food was bland. Food did not look tasteful. Staff was rather arrogant, when we asked for more of a particular food item. To add insult the cost was a little steep for the time of day. Usually buffets we have gone to, charge a little more for the dinner meal(more items available) but not in this case. I don’t think we will ever go back.

Yesterday was my second time over there. The first time was OK. The good thing: Quiet, no line for the food like King’s Buffet in Cortland manor, NY. The bad thing: No food! This is the only time that I had a buffet and not feel full. Believe or not, when I got back home, I have to eat something else. We were there 7pm. Regular dinner time. One poor guy came in when we left, I wonder what he can eat. They even charged 50 cents for hot tea and $ 1.5 for a Fountain soda! We meant to not leave any tips but think about the waitresses, it’s not their fault. My friend ordered a margarita, and she said it’s kind of joke. I will never want to go back to that place only if I want to starve myself.

Totally discovered this place because a friend of mine only went to get their take out sugared donuts! Anyway, I went with my sister, my fellow foodie and we were pleasantly surprised with this joint! It’s set back in the Baldwin Place shopping center along with Chili’s(we actually went here because Chili’s was too packed one night.) It was dinnertime on a Thursday or Friday and it was oddly quiet in this place, BUT I DON’T MNDTHAT! Unlike King Buffet in Cortlandt, this place is CLEAN, quiet and has a better selection of food and pretty decent sushi that is made constantly. Prices are decent and typical… ALTHOUGH, one thing they have been sneaky about is the«Student Price.» This is given to anyone looking between the ages of 15 – 21 and you are given a special rate in which your food, drink and tip is included in the one price. BUT, for 3 seperate occasions, the staff failed to tell my sister and I that tip was included so we were tpping almost triple. DIDNOT appreciate that. Overall, the food is better than most chinese buffets I’ve been too and the fact that it’s never packed is a total Plus to me! We go back all the time and it’s worth the extra drive to come here and enjoy dinner or lunch.

Jon’s great buffet reviewing continues with a place the Mrs. and I went to after a movie. We thought we’d hit dinner(at 3:55PM) but we actually were there for lunch and got lunch prices and the lunch buffet. That being said, the price was really the only stellar point($ 16 for both of us out the door). The food wasn’t bad, it was average chinese buffet stuff. A few unique items(sweet potato balls; large selection of hard ice cream), and the standbys(very well done honey chicken). Lots of the«same old stuff» though. The sushi was fresh but nothing to write home about(Who writes home about food anyway?). The place was DEAD at 4PM on a Friday, only 2 other tables were occupied. This is a bit odd — even though that’s a slow time, I usually don’t see a place that slow. The ads that we got in a circular were pretty misleading, at least for lunch buffet. Perhaps the stars came out at Dinner time, however we were gone and thus our impression is mediocrity.
