Pricing was a little high compared to other nearby pet clinics. Staff were nice, however, the price is also an important factor.

This animal hospital is the best place to take your furry baby. The staff is amazing and Dr. Casillas is a wonderful human being. Dr. Casillas thank you for everything you have done for our little furry babies. You have made a difference in our life.

Just a quick, short review. I took my dog here for a surgery and got a quotation for $ 2600. While, I got quotes from other 2 vet for around $ 600 – 800.

I came here in November 2015 because this is the only clinic that takes rabbits… I knew my rabbit was not well because it wasn’t eating and had diarrhea. I had just bought the rabbit for 12 dollars at local pet store! So, I guess the price says it. I was seeking help at this vet. He seems pretty professional when taking Care of pets and somewhat flexible with payments. I was surprised with the original amount of $ 1,000 dollars plus not guaranteeing it would survive. First off it’s not a dog!!! Flipping expensive. He eventually brought it down to 150 n I couldn’t pay that amount being on tight budget and college student. They even suggested taking a credit card to pay the expense. The vet and staff use different tactics to get suckered into paying so much! Quite ridiculous. I ended up paying 82 buck for the exam and shot. Which still was a lot. They suggested pet shop might help to pay. Overall I was disappointed and rabbit didn’t make it. I can’t believe the cost! So, definitely think twice before coming. I have attached the ridiculous Bill!!!

My sister had her dog neutered here, and she asked me to bring him in for her because she couldn’t take time off of work. Her pup was just fine until we got into the exam room, at which point he began to tremble and cough. I had never seen him act this way, and it was clearly anxiety that was causing it. The poor guy was terrified. When the doctor came in, he acted so fearful that something was terribly wrong with the puppy, and insisted that he absolutely needed to run blood tests before the surgery and take every single precaution in the book. The doctor’s behavior was odd; it almost seemed like an act, as if scripted. He did not listen to a word I said explaining that the dog started coughing as soon as we entered the exam room and that he was scared. Honestly, it was obvious the dog was having some kind of doggy panic attack. He started listing and «showing» me many supposed symptoms that the dog was displaying, such as swollen lymph nodes, that I did not see or feel. While I recognize that I am not a veterinarian, large, swollen lymph nodes should not be difficult to feel if he shows me where they are and insists they are huge. And his runny nose, which felt like no more than his typical, healthy wet nose, with no sneezing or abnormal discharge.
Despite insisting that he was likely too sick for the surgery, what do you know? They did it! With antibiotics, of course, that my sister had to agree to on a whim because they called her informing her how sick her dog was and that he just had to receive treatment. The surgery ended up costing much more than it was originally supposed to cost, all because the dog was «sick» when he appeared just fine. However, she wanted to be cautious and trust the professional, doing what’s best for her fur baby. Naturally, the dog did not cough or show any symptoms once we brought him home, just as he displayed no symptoms before we brought him in.
My sister, not listening to my warnings/​concerns, brought her dog back here when he had an ear infection. They convinced her that she needed to have a blood test performed on the dog, in addition to a deep cleaning procedure on the dog’s ears while he was drugged, insisting that it would be too difficult for her to give him ear drops multiple times a day. No surprise the procedure was some serious $$$ for an ear infection.
They called my sister sometime after the appointment and frantically told her that his blood counts were off, that something may seriously be wrong, and that the counts may have been skewed by his infection, so they needed to do another blood test, which would be an additional $ 140 out of her pocket. So basically they did the blood test knowing his blood counts would be off because he was sick, and insisted on doing another one to rule out any serious illness. My sister ended up taking her dog to my parents’ veterinarian (in central CA) because his ear infection did not go away. They gave her much cheaper ear drops that got rid of the infection, and when she asked about a blood test, they told her it wasn’t really necessary.
THIS VET IS A SCAM ARTIST. He uses scare tactics and his role as a professional to swindle his clients. He recommends costly procedures that are either unnecessary or not the best option for your pet. I refuse to bring my pets here, and while what he is doing may not be illegal, it is wrong and he deserves to be out of business until he can clean up his act and show genuine concern for pets and their owners.

I had to put my baby to sleep yesterday. She was our companion for 15 years. Dr Casillas has seen her the last 3 years. I’m so grateful for everything they did for my Goldie. Today I got to pick up her little paw print. The staff came out and have me a hug first. That was amazing. I needed that hug!

As you know us pet people are pretty freaking crazy and obsessed with our pets– actually they aren’t even «just pets» — they are our little ones, our babies, our life.
This is why TLC is wonderful because they know how crazy obsessed we are for our furry little loved ones. They make sure to take care of them by being gentle and kind to the touch when handling them. They also don’t mind when the uncontrollable baby talk to calm our pups come out.
They also work with you in terms of payment options and differing degrees of packages.
I think I have found my new vet for my two pups and if you haven’t, I say give this place a try and check in to get the Unilocal discount offer!

All I can say is a BIG HUGE THANK YOU! God know these are truly good people! Dr. Casillas is a angel from heaven and helped me out with my dog KODAH who was attacked and needed stitches. It was bad I was stressed because of the cost but let me say this God is good This Vet worked with me and even new how to talk to me to help ease my stress about the situation. I highly recommend everybody to take your pets to this vet! God bless them for being true animal lovers! Brenda!

Dr. Casillas is truly the best vet I’ve ever been to. Our puppy was super sick; vomiting and not pooping and just overall lethargic. My husband and I took her to TLC because of all the great reviews. He actually made sure to get her healthy and all within our budget. He really knows what he’s talking about and makes himself available even after hours for you and your pet. My puppy is like our child and I’m so grateful Dr. Casillas and his staff took very good care of her. He actually cares more about getting your pet healthy and making sure you understand what’s happening and what your options are instead of overcharging you for unnecessary stuff. The receptionists are also amazing and calming. I was freaking out when I first went and the receptionist made me laugh and comforted me. Thank you so much to all of the staff!!! Especially Jennifer! She’s so sweet and always assured me that I would be called back and kept updated.

My update is super late but yeah my dog ended up being fine within 2 weeks with what the first vet said, I did exactly what she said, all they charged me was less than 100 dollars, this fool wanted to charge me 500, like I said he got me last time because being a new pet owner, I was ignorant. I’m so glad I listened to her the vet I took him too first and not to this Doctor Casillas.

This place is by far the best animal hospital I have been to! The hospitals name says it all! They took such good care of my cat and treat them so well. They know how to carry each pet and are super concerned with your pet’s health. I had a bad experience at a past animal hospital and thought all vets were the same but I was totally wrong. I’m so thankful I found this place because I will never take my pets anywhere else from now on. My only small concern is how pushy they are so they can charge more for everything such as checkups, shots, medications, etc.

Very good place. The only thing that bothered me was that they push u to get extra tests and shots done. The doctor told me to come back in a week so he can check my cats stitches were healing properly, and then they charged me for the checkup. I’ve never been charged for a post-​surgery checkup at other veterinarian places.

I want to begin by saying thank you to the loving staff especially the Dr who took care of my baby. I took my moms dog Kandi in there on emergency and even though she passed three days later the staff and doctor did every thing they could to help her out. Including updating us daily on improvement, cutting certain financial costs. When he was certain she was going to pass he called and asked if family would like to visit before it happens and beyond that he had his staff make an imprint of her paw just got us to have as a keepsake. This place is amazing and I will return with my dog Apple.

It is ineffable to explain how wonderful this hospital is. The staff is made up of the most beautiful souls I have ever met. Considering my Grandcat had never been to the doctors before, there was no judgment. Their concern was getting him better. The doctor himself was in contact and keeping me up to date, EVEN AFTER HOURS. When I called to see how he was doing, there was not much information, but I still got a call back from Jennifer, just to give me comfort.
I had to make the difficult decision to allow him to leave this world. My family and I had a private room to spend time with him. We were allowed all the time we wanted with my grandcat. The staff checked in on us and offered us many forms or hydration. There was never any pressure to leave. The staff expressed their condolences many times. They sent us home with a clay print of his paw. We even received a sympathy card in the mail from the staff.
The hospital was fair in cost and was not out to drain my pocketbook. Both times I visited they were extremely busy. That shows how wonderful they are. I listened in as people spoke highly of the hospital, while waiting in the lobby.
I will only use them for all my pet needs. If you truly love your little family member/​s, you will take them to TLC Animal Hospital.

Dr. Casillas and the staff are incredible! I love coming here. I’ve been here twice so far. The first time I brought my Leopard Gecko in because his jaw was injured. Dr. Casillas was so good handling him, explained everything, showed me what the problem was, then gave him a couple shots, cleaned his mouth, and sent us home. My Gecko is doing so much better now and eating good again.
Today was my second visit to TLC. I brought in my Female Great Dane to find out if she is pregnant. They did an ultrasound on her and got to see 4 puppies! It was the most exciting experience to see them moving around and seeing their faces. The staff were really good with handling her and gave us a lot of information.
I’m extremely glad I found TLC because I can take my reptiles and dogs there. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a veterinarian: :)

The staff is friendly and caring. The vet, Dr. Casillas, is very attentive to your pet’s needs. He answered all our questions and was patient with our pet. They also provided different treatment options based on pricing and recommendations.

Tender Loving Care Animal Hospital has everything that I personally care about in an animal hospital. The friendly and respectful staff members do their best to help everyone in a timely fashion as well as treating the pets with TLC. Dr. Casillas is definitely one of the more personable and knowledgeable veterinarians I have taken my pet to. He does his best to make the treatments for my pet more affordable as opposed to other places where they may just charge up the wazoo for simple treatments or checkups. I have never had a bad experience with TLC’s service and I will continue to bring my pet here when they need treatment. In all simplicity: I trust TLC Animal Hospital.

Just came in for my dog. Got attacked again, and luckily this is the nearest hospital open during Christmas Eve. Please save my Angel.

So my first review was horrible… No lie … But it’s close so I went back… 100% turn around, I had the pleasure to meet the incredibly charming vet, who was very informative and cares a lot about his clients pets and his business reputation… If u previously gave a bad review I think u should give it another chance as they have made many changes in a short period for better service. The girl in the front was all smiles and very cheerful. The visit was time friendly, clean and respectable. I will b going back.

I’m extremely shocked to read anything negative about Dr Casillas and his staff!
I do agree that the vet is expensive, but that’s just unfortunately how much medical services for animals are!
Dr Casillas and his staff are some of the most compassionate and caring people I have ever dealt with.
Unfortunately a few months ago my Pitbull Luna passed away from a bizarre unheard of skin bacteria which ultimately attacked her immune system and organs. I had gone to several vets who told me they did not know what my dog had and that my best option was to put her to sleep. I found this response completely unacceptable and decided to give Dr. Casillas a chance.
Dr. Casillas treated my dog and did everything him and his staff could possibly do for her for almost 2 years. Him and his staff would personally call and check on Luna’s health. They would help me order special medications, food, and treatments for her. Money was never an option, because they knew how much I loved my dog. They would set up payment plans with me after I maxed out all of my credit cards.
They never once tried to rip me off or sell me anything extra. They were very honest and compassionate with my situation. They would always treat my dog with the best and most professional care.
When Luna unfortunately lost her hard fought battle, Dr. Casillas did not call to ask about the money I owe him, him and his staff called to give my mom and me their condolences. All of the staff including Dr. Casillas came out gave me a hug and said I did everything I could for my baby.
I see many complaints about how expensive Dr. Casillas is and I’m shocked, because vet services are expensive and Dr. Casillas is a completely competent and amazing veterinarian who genuinely cares about animals.
He personally calls you and is known to stay late, do procedures on his lunch breaks and after hours, and checks in on the clinic and all of the animals on closed days as well.
I am personally so grateful for everything him and his staff have done for me. I would definitely recommend him any day. Your pets are in the best care here :-)
