Best BMW Dealer in the Philly/​South Jersey Area!

Suffice it to say, after owning 3 BMW X5’s, I have defected to Mercedes. Both Devon and Mainline BMW dealerships took my sale for granted and did not timely provide pricing or follow up in any manner. I am happy to take my $ 68k to Mercedes.

These people are criminals.
If you take your car in, they will ignore everything that’s covered under your service contract and try to hit you with an exorbant bill for other repairs that are entirely unneccessary.
Add to that the fact that most of the people here are rude and you have a terrible place all around.
There are other BMW dealerships in Devon and Plymouth Meeting. Never going back here.

I just recently leased a car and my experience was first class service. I worked with Gina who now everyone in my circle knows was the go to BMW specialist. I have leased and purchased several cars before and this was a one of a kind experience. Gina helped me through some challenges and at the end of the day made it happen. I love my car and can’t do anything but sing there praises thus far!

One of the worst service places ever. Car was shaking and told them to check rims/​wheels cause of possible bending problem. They said they found no issues and the car kept shaking. Went to the fort Washington bmw and they said rims were severely bent, also drive shaft and tire issues. Car ran smoothly after. Bmw mainline probably didn’t even bother lifting the car up. Their rental cars are absolutely the worst also, your choices could be a ford truck or a mini cooper at times. Do yourself a favor and never attempt to go there.

Used Siri on my phone to find this Bmw and I am glad I did. This is my 6^th Bmw and working with Gina was the best. She took the time to find out what I was looking for and she was able to do the whole deal herself no going back and forth with her boss (I always dreaded that part of buying a car.)
Even the finance guy was nice and not pushy I will for sure buy my next car at this dealership.

Good overall experience at this dealership. Construction makes parking and looking at cars a little inconvenient but that should be fixed in a couple months. KC was a very helpful salesman and I would recommend him to others. Up front competitive pricing. Avoid the finance manager Zeke Kos if possible. He should probably be at a «buy here, pay here» lot and not sure why they allow him to talk to customers.

Horrible service. Worst BMW ever been to, worth the extra drive to Germantown dealership. I had an engine malfunction light on and call them all day, no answer. Then come to dealership and it closed early for an impromptu «party.»

I brought in a routine oil change in the BMW 528xi of the Main Line expecting to be charge $ 79.00 on 10÷24÷15, it end up costing me $ 1000.00 dollars… it end up that they misaligned my alignment. I reported to Bob my adviser the following next day, but he was not there, so I left a message and ask him to call back as soon as possible, never got a call back from him, I waited two day and still no call back, I call him and wait a hour on the phone and finally reach him, I ask him did he got my message, he say he did but did bother call me. He say that alignment would cost $ 200.00, which I did a couple month back, I told him I am not not going pay for that, then he told me that the handle bar is broken and need me to pay another $ 425.00 on top of the alignment and then he told me I need to fork up another $ 400.00 for a oil change and braking flush and a vision inspection… and then he told me that going cost me another $ 620.00 to replace a oil gasket… what a scam… don’t go there it is a rip-off…especially the service. …oh ya he was trying to charge me $ 250.00 for replace my air filter, which only cost $ 40.00, and 5 minutes to change… I said Hell no.

I went to this dealership because they had a used X5 with almost all the options I wanted so i went to make a deal. Let me start by saying i have been buying a trading cars for sometime, in fact in the last 10 years i have brought and traded 6 cars so i understand cars depreciate and only keeping them for two or so years don’t build much equality in the car so I’m always prepared to pay the difference for up to 5k… so let the games begin.
After arriving i was greeted by a sales person (Jeff). who was great. He was very knowledgeable about the car, very personable, nothing bad to say about Jeff… he was great. The problem was the guy evaluating my trade in. Now like in said before i know I’m upside down on my loan payoff and the trade-​in value of my car. But this guy was rubbing on the door trims insisting the car was damaged and/​or repainted… almost like he was the car paint whisper. Now since i buy and trade cars so often i make sure to keep my cars in tip-​top shape. I have never had a accident and this car i brought brand new, I witnessed the car being delivered and the plastic being pulled off the vehicle so there was never any damage or re-​painting of my car however the paint whisper insisted it was. I was even willing to pay for the Carfax so they can see it was clean with no reported damage. But the paint whisper just «knew» the car was re-​painted which made me feel like I was just out and out lying and trying to scam them like I’m some kind of a scum bag. Needless to say i decided NOT to go forth with the negotiations, took my keys and left.
So if you are looking to trade a car with Mainline BMW i suggest you be prepared to be looked at like your a dishonest scum bag if you disagree with the paint whisper…

My experience started with Joe and I can’t begin to explain how amazing this place is. I have been having many problems with my car and had to come in with no appointment. I was put in a loaner right away and the mechanic went for a drive with me to identify the issues. The entire staff is amazing and beyond friendly. As a business owner, I can appreciate their initiative to go the extra lengths to help out their customers! This BMW location is the only reason that I will be getting another one once my lease expires. A++ service.

Recently moved here from Florida so this was my first Pennsylvania dealer. Unfortunately, I have to leave a star if that tells you how my experience went.
I do not recommend going here at all for the service. First things first, the communications here are all relied on the customer calling and checking in on their car to see how it’s doing otherwise you won’t hear anything. My girlfriend and I both took our cars here for service (both had to be inspected $ 159.99) and I didn’t hear anything until 3:30 pm (my appt was scheduled at 8:15 am and I left my car overnight). Was told he’d call back an hour later to get to the source of the problem and never heard back. Drove to the dealership to check in and found them to be closed at 6pm (we arrived at 7pm). Never got a courtesy call to let us know they’d be closing soon or what was going on.
My girlfriend hadn’t heard anything all day and she had to call twice the next morning to see what was going on with her car. My car still wasn’t finished with the inspection until almost 10am. (Bluetooth and radio cut out and they were trying to find source of the problem). Quoted $ 213 for part and labor.
Once the problem was found I received a call at about 5pm that my car was ready for pickup. Total bill $ 532?! I don’t understand how the inspection was suddenly a part of the installation price. The part listed on the receipt said $ 42! Contacted the service advisor the following day about the repair being over-​quoted and he stated that I was misquoted and contacted by service advisor for another $ 160 and I told them to continue with the repair when in fact I was never contacted at all. This place is extremely shady. BMW prides itself on service and you pay extra for it and this place is a huge let down in that end.

I appreciated the no hassle… no pressure experience. We were able to drive the car home the same day which is what I really wanted:-) My husband is obsessing over the car and thinks it’s a shared vehicle. We will be back sooner than later… I’m not sharing this beauty… LOL

BMW of The Mainline is by far the best service all around. From the Service Department — my advisor is Billy Sampson, to my sales guy KC Chan, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They always try to help and give me the best advice on all of my options. I have never had to wait long. I am reading some of the bad reviews and don’t understand them. I have never had any of those problems. It has been one good experience after another over the last 6 years.

Here’s my honest unbiased review on this business… The salesman I dealt with — Ken Burke was very professional and was able to work within my budget and give me a deal I couldn’t compare to any other offers I received in the area. I even called other dealers in NY and NJ to see if they could match or beat the rates and they couldn’t.
Would I look to buy my next car again with them? Absolutely, if I can work a similar deal with them.
However, I did not read all the negative reviews on the service department before leasing the vehicle. I’m willing to give them a shot. I have yet to bring my car in for an oil change or for getting any work done. So far, my interaction with the sales team has been excellent…

What a rip off!!! Talk about a scam!!!
in August I took my 2008 335i to this dealership because the car kept shutting down. Turns out if you have problems with your cooling system (water pump, coolant, thermostat, hoses, etc) the computer will send a shut out signal to the engine so it never over heats. Well, after an hour of the car being there, I sure as hell received a call that my car needed a new water pump and a new hose. That they checked the system and that is why it was turning off. I said okay, how much for the water pump and other items. They said $ 1300 approximately. I told them go ahead and do it and that the car had full warranty. So a couple hours later I received a call from Jennifer (service advisor) saying all will be covered by the warranty except for one hose ($ 300 lol) I said okay! Please get the car fixed.
Here is the catch! My car had the «service engine light» come on three days ago so like a normal person I took it back to the MAIN LINE BMW where once again I was directed to a service «scammer» advisor this time named Michael. He said, we will call you with a diagnosis all with a very poor attitude.
The call two hours went like this:
Hello sir this is Michael from bmw your car has a couple issues 1. Needs a new water pump and also needs a thermostat.
2. Will also needs brakes soon
My response, perfect please fix it since its under warranty. You guys just changed the water pump in the last service!!!
Michael– sorry sir I did not look at the records in your car, you are right the water pump is fine. You need a new thermostat. That will a little over $ 400.
—-what? For a thermostat? $ 400 shouldn’t you guys had changed it when the water pump and hoses where changed you were fixing the cooling systems?
His response, No sir. We only checked the water pump and hoses that time. The code from your computer says it’s the thermostat and based on the age of the car it probably has never been changed
—okay go ahead and fix it. I need my car
5 minutes later I get a call from Michael again!!!
Sir, I made a mistake it’s not $ 400 for the thermostat. I didn’t include labor and the diagnosis cost. You are looking at $ 700 total and your car will be ready in the morning
—-what for a thermostat? $ 700? This is absurd
Michael– Sir that is the price. We will see you tomorrow
okay!!! So I called other bmw dealerships and mechanics after this call. Turns out when they do an diagnostic on a car and involves the water pump and hoses they will check everything about the cooling system including radiators and stupid thermostat. Obviously BMW MAIN LINE doesn’t understand what this means and they will get you for a water pump every time if you don’t open your mouth and also for a thermostat ($ 80 to $ 180 max depending on year and model of your car)
$ 700 for something they were supposed to do and check before all with a horrible attitude and pretty much leaving you without options!
This just happened yesterday Nov. 13^th, 2014. I am sure they can look at my name and at least offer me an apology for their poor customer service and for the SCAM they have going on. I am selling this car and staying away from BMW because of this dealership being the only one close to me!!!

During one of the services, this dealership had me wait there for 2 hours in their uncomfortable & busy waiting room, instead of giving me a loaner and letting me come back later. On another occasion, I did get a loaner, but it was a Mini Cooper that hadn’t been cleaned.

I have been leasing BMW from 4 years and have been to different BMW dealers in U. S while moving for my work and among all the dealers I visited this is the worst BMW dealer I faced.
I leased a BMW 335Xi GT last December with Tire/​wheel insurance paying 1500 $ for 3 years. I changed my mind after a week and cancelled insurance as they promised to reimburse full amount if I cancel in a month. For 5 months I dint recieve my check I used to call them every week and each time they come up with new reasons. In 6^th month I got the check by reducing 20% of what I payed.
If you live around Philly area please choose other dealers they are not friendly or helpful after you buy a car.

Worst dealership on the planet.
Brought in my BMW for oil & filter change. I spoke with my service advisor and he asked 3 times what I needed done. Again I said oil & filter. When I picked up my car 8 hours later, not only was it not done, but the oil & filter were not changed either! Only the brake fluid flush was done.
My service advisor nonchalantly said it was an oversight!
How do these people stay in business?
I am finding a new dealership.
