Webster’s Interiors has been serving Kern County since 1920. Mr. Webster started Websters Upholstery as a Saddle shop, reupholstering buggies and carriages for the families of Bakersfield. The Hayes family has owned Websters Upholstery and Drapery for over 48 years. Ed Hayes Sr. bought the business from Bob Johnson, who owned Quality Fabrics in 1966. Websters has been a family run business and still is today. Ed Hayes Jr. runs the day to day operations has recently changed the name to Websters Interiors to accommodate the growing business demands from the community. David Reyes and Ramon Rosas are our star upholsterers and have over 55 years of experience collectively. With an A+ rating from the BBB, Websters Interiors will be expanding its services to include upholstery, drapery and custom furniture.

Long overdue review. Last summer we updated our kitchen and these folks reupholstered a kitchen seating area bench for our project. Great value and quality work, quick turnaround awesome consultation and over the top installation. We learned a nice lesson… Let the professionals offer opinions they know what the finished product will be… Nice folks to boot.

Amazing Work!!! Webster Interiors transformed my Hideous Seventies Orange Lane Wingbacks!!! New fabric, cushions and legs!!! They are beyond perfect for my Gatsby esque dining room! Excellent Customer Service to boot! I wasn’t sure where to start when selecting fabric but I really appreciated Ed guiding me based on things I liked as to what was durable and would work with my chairs and what was affordable in my price range!!. We selected a beautiful dark grey with silver shimmer called Midnight! They also took the old legs, sanded and painted them black to match. They turned out Fabulous!!!

Great work, had two chairs covered. Was honest, fair and did excellent work. Ed was very helpful when it was time to pick up the chairs. Will definitely go there for any further Upholstery needs.
Tried to contact another resource and was left very unimpressed. But at Webster’s, I was treated well from start to finish.
My wife loves the chairs we’re both impressed with the workmanship /​craftsmanship. Better than new!

The team at Webster’s Interiors were very professional and attentive. I had an inspiration photo of a couch that the team was able to replicate. I first had a recliner that I had Webster do a few months ago to look like a Pottery Barn recliner, and WOW, it really was more than I could imagine! Because of their expert care in providing me with a wonderful piece of furniture, I decided to have a loveseat and sofa reconstructed and upholstered to mimic an inspiration photo that required the arms and cushions to be very different. The end result was fabulous and it was exactly what I wanted. Ed and his team did a phenomenal job and I would highly recommend them!

Websters recovered our outside chair cushions and chaise lounges recently and we are really happy with the results. Owner Eddie Hayes brought sun resistant fabric samples to our home so my wife could thoroughly evaluate her options. Eddie took away our many 10 year old cushions, rebuilt the insides and recovered the outsides expertly, and returned the finished products in short order, installing everything back onto the frames. All at a very fair price. Happy wife makes a happy life! Thanks Eddie Hayes. Your dad would be proud of you.

This is my first time writing a review for any business. I feel compelled to write one for Webster’s after seeing the phenomenal work they performed on two oversized tufted wing back chairs that I recently had reupholstered. Ed and his talented upholsterer, David, truly brought these chairs back to life – in fact, they may be even more beautiful than when they were new! Their attention to detail is amazing. Thanks for exceeding our expectations in every way!

I posted before & after pics and I hope they draw you in as did just some positive reviews for me when I chose to go there. Im so happy I did because I really wanted to save this piece & see it bring alive my vision for my dining area so its all thanks to Ed and his team. First of all, Ed is just a wonderful person, and thier work is all heart and quality! You get what you pay for people, Not saying its too expensive, Im saying Quality costs so its your choice, But Ed is very helpful with tips to save money too and cares about your piece, what you want & what you can afford!

Webster’s went above and beyond. Had our Mission style couch/​bench recovered. Ordered the perfect hue of fabric to bring it into the current genre. Love the new design of the pillows and just how clean and exceptional the workmanship of Webster’s. Was finished well before the promised delivery date.
Recommend Webster’s for any of your furniture that is needing a facelift by recovering.

I couldn’t be happier with the job Ed and his team at Webster’s Interiors did on my antique chair. I had taken it to another shop to be reupholstered initially and my chair was done so poorly I was given a refund. Not only did I get the chair into Webster’s the same day, but the owner helped entertain my child while helping me decide on a fabric. The entire team was professional, courteous, and the chair was completed in the time that was promised. They were able to restore the damage that the other shop had caused and the end result was spectacular. I could not be happier. If you are needing anything reupholstered I would highly recommend this shop.

We met Ed recently when a good friend recommended Webster’s to us and are so pleased with how he re-​habbed our 1990s Thomasville (super-​comfy) sofa! He transformed it from Federal stripe disaster to Pottery Barn chic! Ed has a true talent and is professional, personable, and does excellent work! He picked up our sad sofa and brought it back looking lovely and modern. Best of all, he helped us find a high quality, easy to maintain fabric for a good price!
