I went in to buy a ceiling fan but once i witness all that i left and went to lowe’s You should be ashamed home depo!

Horrible experience. The first time I came in to buy a washer dryer the sales clerk talked me out of every appliance consumer reports ranked As a top product. He told me to buy the old school ones he grew up on. All the new front wash were too complicated. I retired another day and bought the product I wanted. The sales person told me I should buy gas I instructed him it was in my garage and asked if I needed anything special. He said no. When my product was delivered I had to refuse receipt because you do need special accommodations. when I went into the store to get a new product they acted like it was my fault. They were horrible unapologetic for their error and overall rude. In fact they asked if I knew anyone who could just hook it up against code. I will never buy an appliance here again. The last appliance I bought were from lowes and I don’t know why didn’t go with them again.

I never thought I’d say this but, I love home improvement stores and this Home Depot is just down the street from home so we frequent it plenty. I honestly have no complaints about this store. We have always found what we were looking for and the people we have asked help have always been knowledgeable and friendly. I especially love their garden center and all of the options they have for both indoor and outdoor plants. Plus, most of their plants have a one-year warranty on them. Even if you over or under water them and kill them, you can return them. No questions asked. Not that I’ve had to do that or anything… :| lol. They also have kids craft days on the first Saturday of every month(at every Home Depot) and they’re a ton of fun! Not much direction from the employees but the crafts always come with an instruction sheet that’s easy to follow. So fun! Anyway, I’ve been to most of the Home Depots in Bakersfield and this one always seems clean and the employees are always friendly. I’d recommend it for any home renovation or DIY needs.

I came here yesterday since it is just down the street from my new house. I was looking for bulb replacements for majority of the lights in my house and wanted to go with LED. As I stood in the aisle looking and comparing the ones I brought from home a few employees passed by but did not offer help. Finally I stopped a younger guy and he told me, «I don’t work this area but I’ll try to call someone». I was okay with him being unfamiliar but to say he will«TRY» was ridiculous. Saying it in that manner puts forth the perception that he didn’t care. I walked out after standing for 15 more minutes, and yes I went to Lowe’s where I did not have issues with help. Further drive but the help makes up for it

Our first stop was in the garden section. We were looking for a particular type of hose(female to female) and when we asked the lady at the cash register for hep she called for someone. We waited about 7 – 8 minutes before leaving that section. This has happened to me before at the garden section at this location. My second stop was the restroom. They have the nicest, cleanest public restrooms around. Great job here. Next, on to the paint aisle. They had everything we needed for good prices. That’s why we keep coming back!

Now the we are home owners we frequent this Home Depot often. Their selection, of course is large. The garden area is fairly well stocked with all your spring time needs. We do like having the options of shopping online and either picking up in store or avoiding shipping costs and having it shipped to store. My biggest complaint is there never seems to be an employee around when I need one. I’m assuming that is fairly normal in such a large store. I am usually sending my son off to find someone when we need assistance. We also have recently taken our children to participate in the monthly DIY project. They really enjoyed it and everything is free and included. They even give the kids and apron and a pin once they completed the project. All in all not bad for a big box chain home improvement store.

I have been standing in line in the customer service for at least 10 min while one worker has been helping a customer the whole time. Naturally people in line can begin to get frustrated especially when the employee(nineth) doesn’t even acknowledge the long wait and say she will be with us as soon as she can. Or why can’t she call another person to help, are you the only one. Poor management

A Bakersfield Stranger’s Quest for Keys. I didn’t need a locksmith, I just needed key duplication. I started in a Home Depot competitor’s key department and their magic key machine would not duplicate the offering I inserted into the intelligent keyhole. I searched for three more locksmith’s nearby. Two were people’s homes with no signs or out door advertising. I didn’t want to drive another four miles to the third one. HD was a few blocks away. Taking my place in the key line, I was assisted by the cashier operating the Home Depot Magic Key Machine. I had my copies within 20 minutes. Time spent on quest, about two hours. Time spent at Home Depot, about 25 minutes. HD worked key magic for me.

I’m prepping a home for resale. Replacing the carpet thoughout and the tile in two small bathrooms. Went into this store as it is close and my friends and I have used it before. We told the sales person we only wanted things that were in stock. We touched every item. They changed the grout to a special order, they ran out of carpet, and blamed everything on the special order stuff. Two different stories from two different groups. DONOTTRUSTANYTHING they say. Their incompetence is thowing my schedule off for everything else that needs doing. Skip these guys for anything that needs installing. I just do not trust them any longer for complicated stuff. Simple purchases not requiring itelligent input from a sales representative, fine, otherwise BEWARE the STUPID and UNETHICAL. More: Spoke with the correct person at Home Depot. Things have started moving. Hopefully issues sorted out. Bad but not un-endurable experience.

Occasionally, I will come to this Home Depot. Whenever I cannot find what I need at Walmart, than Home Depot or Lowes is my next destination. One of them has always had what I needed. The store is huge, but they do have signs on every aisle describing what is located there. Still, there are times when I cannot find what I need. During those times, it has been difficult finding someone to help me. When I do finally find an employee, they have been helpful. At the customer service desk, the staff have been professional. I have not had problems returning items which I have bought incorrectly(this happened a couple of times). Overall, it is a good location. My favorite Home Depot, though, is the one located on Rosedale Hwy.

I went to this Home Depot looking for a replacement for the plastic handle that broke in my shower. I tried Lowe’s, but there they only carried the entire handle assembly at a cost of about $ 45. Here, at Home Depot, they carry just the plastic handle replacement, the only part I really needed, for $ 12.48. I just saved over $ 30, now THAT’S a WIN! I can’t comment on the customer service. I didn’t need any help finding what I needed because the signage showing where everything is located is very clear and the store is well organized. My team.

This store is okay. I have only gone in during evening hours and its always dead. They have a minimal selection of general home repair items and the like. Like most locations, finding someone to help you is nearly impossible. I also think there is a tremendous amount of boredom amongst the employees here. They obviously don’t want to help which is one thing… having to listen to them BS and carry on loudly the next aisle over is quite another thing.

I’m a Home Depot junkie, so I like them all. My only complaint about this one is the big guy in electrical who apparently bathes in his cologne. The vapors are almost visible… I think he needs an Old Spice Intervention.

So we went in to purchase a garage door opener. A sign next to the openers says delivery and install $ 97, not including price of purchase. Ok, sounds good to me. So we go up front to purchase the opener with delivery. The girl at the desk is pretty young looking and she seems to be newer. She has to ask a few different people how to ring up our transaction. So at the end, she says our total is like $ 600!!! We were like what for?! The opener was a little over $ 200 plus the 97 install, I know my math skills aren’t the greatest, but that doesn’t equal 600! So we politly say there must be something wrong and she says that the install isn’t $ 97 but $ 345. Huh? the install is $ 100 more than the actual product? I don’t think so. So we walk her bak to the sign, where she says«oh that’s only for the genie brand» No where on the sign does it say that. We aregue that point with her and her only reply is that the associate manual says it’s only for Genie. Well, I don’t care what your manual says, your advertising says differently! It took over 45 minutes of arguing before she asked someone else, who told her that she was wrong! So they said someone would contact us the next day about the delivery. Noone did! We waited a week and still no word, so we finally called them. What a disaster!

There is never anyone around to help you. You also have to check yourself out. I hate shopping here.

As usual. Service is terrible. I live around the corner and prefer to drive 4 miles to the nearest Lowes.
