We highly recommend Dr Tadej!
Starting from the very first visit, they were very welcoming & helped us feel at ease. My daughters were nervous at first, but every one was so friendly and knowledgeable. They are also flexible in scheduling our appointments. The ladies at the front desk were always cheerful & helpful. 3 of us in my family (myself, my oldest & second daughters) were Dr Tadej’ patients. And now I’m taking my youngest daughter and expecting the same great experience & a great result!

If you want your family to be treated with respect and dignity, I would take them elsewhere.

I absolutely love Dr. Tadej and his staff! I am in the middle of treatment with my youngest daughter and completed treatment with my oldest who they still see if we have a question or problem free of charge! They are super friendly and easy to work with. Would recommend them to everyone I know they have and are continuing to do wonders for my girls.

Tadej Orthodontics ROCKS!!! All three of my boys are patients and Dr. Tadej and the whole gang are amazing! They are always so kind to the boys (and to the parents) and I appreciate being able to sit right there and watch them work. You are able to talk to them about the process and ask any questions you may have… Dr. Tadej never makes you feel rushed or silly for asking questions. Be on time because they are always so prompt… and you don’t want to mess up their «well-​oiled» machine. LOVE them and appreciate the fabulous smiles that they’ve given and continue to give my boys!

We absolutely love Tadej Orthodontics! Dr. Tadej and his team have really turned every conception we had about orthodontia upside down. The office is clean and comfortable. The staff are pleasant and attentive from the moment you walk in. They have video games to keep the kids busy until appointment time (after they brush their teeth, of course). Appointment times are valued and kept. You will always be seen on time, if not a few minutes early. Dr. Tadej uses the latest and greatest technology available to make sure your smile will be the best achievable. He also has an incentive program to keep the kids (and adults) motivated. We were so pleased with my care, we brought our teenage son in for treatment as well. I can’t recommend this office enough.

My daughter kayla just had get brace’s removed last year and has a beautiful smile. Not once during her treatment were we charged for anything unexpected and at the end not only did she get a retainer but she was able to design hers at no extra cost! I have friends who went elsewhere and we’re charged at chance, even for their retainer and Any missed visits! We are now taking our youngest son Paul to have his braces put on and are excited to see the same great results! I know that due to personalities not everyone would be a fit, but i have never been treated with anything but kindness and respect. I interviewed several other ortho offices before choosing dr. Tadej and his team and I’m so glad I did!
From the moment you walk In they they your child by name, they have fun rewards for their patients all the time. They always run on time and can fit you in our reschedule you in a pinch without any issues!!! I was shocked to read such negative things about Dr. Tadej himself since he has always been so friendly with us and the people I have seen him interact with for the past 3 years going there! If we weren’t happy we wouldn’t be going back for Paul’s braces but i always want the best for my kids and in our opinion Tadej office is one of the best in Bakersfield! And worth or without the rewards points I would say the same … we love the office, his team and the doctor!

Best staff and love Dr. Tadej! My favorite is Suzanne :) She’s very nice and thorough when it comes to explaining my treatment. I appreciate their promptness and professionalism. Highly recommend them!

The service is great and they explain treatments throughly and they are at a reasonable price. Dr Tadej is very nice and so is the rest of the employees are as well. It is so much fun to go in and see bright smiling faces working there. Overall Tadej Orthodontics is an amazing place to consider as your Orthodontist .

I would not recommend this place at all. The ladies on the staff are always very friendly and helpful, but I find Dr. Tadej himself to be arrogant, self-​important and a bit of a bully. If you ever question his treatment plan, be prepared to get a «Did YOU go to orthodontic school?» lecture. Save yourselves several eye rolls and visit Dr. Thurman instead.

Tadej has been great. I was surprised to see negative reviews because our experience has been so positive.
My son hasn’t had any complications related to any services.
The Doc and his staff have always been 5 legit stars with us.

They have good coffee in the waiting room and I like stealing there green pens (I affectionately refer to them as my $ 5K pens).

UPDATE: I’ve received a private message from another patient who had a worse experience with Tadej than I, asking for more details about the issues I had myself, so it isn’t just me. I think the sudden 5 star reviews that appeared recently aren’t from real patients or Unilocalers (those Unilocalers have only reviewed one place and it happens to be a 5 star review for Tadej. Not suspicious at all), and if they are real, I wouldn’t be surprised if Tadej somehow rewarded them for it. After all, he does give points or something which can be redeemed for gift cards if you give him a good review on other sites such as Google. I never thought Tadej would stoop so low. I just think everyone deserves to know what they’re getting into if they decide to go here for unfathomable reasons.

So I just noticed I received a reply from Dr. Tadej himself! ‘Remember you took your braces off at home ’ he says, which is a rather confusing statement because there is no way a child could remove her own braces, top and bottom, by herself at home… There is no need to lie about such things.

Tadej Orthodontics helped both my girls get their beautiful smiles!!! We are beyond happy with our results. Everything was very easy from the beginning. They were very flexible with my payments arrangement and that helped so much! They saw us right on time for every appointment, no waiting at all!!! So different from any office I’ve ever been too!!! Every assistant that helped us were always very gentle and let us know exactly what was going on! Dr. Tadej himself is amazing and my kids love him! We highly recommend Tadej Orthodontics!

The treatment plans are detailed and include everything — even a nice toothbrush to begin treatment, digital x-​rays, and scans for retainers. The staff is very professional and they schedule appropriately so the waiting times are minimal in the waiting room. They realize that my time is valuable too and I appreciate that!

Mom’s Perspective:
We have had a very nice experience with this office. When I discovered the kids needed braces, I asked for recommendations on Facebook and got 3 names mentioned over and over. I decided to have consultations with 2. The first had a great office, offered lots of positive re-​inforcement for the kids but was not as flexible with the monetary side. They expected and large downpayment ($ 1800.00) and the remainder paid quite quickly. The consultation at Dr. Tadej also impressed me with the great kid friendly atmosphere and many positive reinforcers they use to inspire the kids to eat braces friendly foods and brush, but they were much more flexible on making payments and required no money down. In the end, they also ended up being $ 800.00 cheaper than the first consult and used a more updated method to realign her bite than the first which I appreciated.

My first impression of this office is it’s top notch. The facility is extremely clean and the entire staff is very friendly. They have a vast assortment of the latest and greatest dental technology which they will happily utilize to assess a patient’s needs. I went in for an basic ortho consult and I walked out with a full consult with x-​rays and face time with Dr. Tadej. I really appreciated the extra efforts they made for a thorough consult. However, I didn’t start my treatment with Dr. Tadej — here’s why:
1. They were overly aggressive in their sales pitches. I was hesitant to disclose all my personal information since it was a consult only. When I walked out of the office to use the restroom, the assistant started pressing my bf for the personal info I refused to give up.
2. The doctor and his assistant made a show of a basic gum assessment by throwing out a bunch of unnecessary terms. I took 9^th grade biology a decade ago — I get what the prefixes medial, distal, and lateral mean. Just start at a molar, call out your readings, and be done with it. Overall, it felt like the entire consult was a theatrical performance.
3. The pricing was too high. Their quote for the invisalign treatment came in ~$ 2,500 higher than the dental office I chose.
I won’t completely write off Dr. Tadej; I believe he is a respected and skilled orthodontist. If it’s your first experience with braces and you want a top notch treatment, Dr. Tadej may be a good choice. Just be prepared to pay top dollar for it.
In my case, this was my second go around with braces. I had a simple case that required minimal work that most orthodontists could handle. I shopped around and found another orthodontist who gave the same invisalign treatment for much less and my teeth are straight again.

Hands down the best Ortho in Bako! The entire staff is equally friendly and professional as he is. Nice building, great, prompt service, my daughters teeth look PERFECT.
