Sonic Drive-In

Delicious ice cream on a Monday night. They had super fast service. The customer service was even better. Surprisingly sonic was not too busy.

Really disappointed went in for a late night snack and ordered some spicy pop corn chicken only to have them taste really weird. Tasted like really nasty chicken. Haven’t been back since.

This is an average Sonic. We usually come for shakes or drinks, but have ordered food in thw past. This location doesn’t have a drive thru and has less spots to order. The food is alright and the shakes are better on some days than other. Yesterday I ordered a peanut butter fudge and I could hardly taste either. Other times I have had them and they are really good. The service is friendly and helpful. They get your order out to you fairly quickly. Not a bad place to go for an evening dessert (doesn’t hurt shakes are half price adter 8pm!)

Only good for the drinks, nothing more, nothing less.
In a city where late-​night eating is limited I had no choice but sit down at this Sonic location for a meal and the sloppy work flow of the workers ruined the experience.
The ordering process at Sonic’s always gets harder and harder. Everything had to be repeated at least four or five times. Once we ordered and it was repeated back to us we were informed that no soda or carbonated drinks were available because the «machine broke» we could order water, slush or shakes but no cokes, lime-​aids, Etc…
The food took forever to arrive, literally 30 minutes because they kept giving us the wrong orders, not once but twice. Yeah, how convenient of course. The moral of this story folks, Avoid this location for a sit-​down meal with friends and family because 60% of the time you won’t get everything right the first time.
The only reason I give it two stars because the slushes, shakes and lime-​aids are still in my heart but if it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t return.
I rate this place 2.0 for service.

Good customer service and burgers are delicious. I drive from Santa Maria to Bakersfield once a week and i stop here for lunch

So much shade here compared to other ones in Bakersfield. This one just seems so much nicer than any of the others as well. Maybe different owners? This one is well kept and maintained!
The employees are really nice and I always tip them a few bucks. This one is car hop only. There is no drive thru here. You must park and order and a car hop will come collect money and bring your food.
It’s fairly quick but not as quick as a drive thru.
They have everything to satisfy your craving for fast American food and their Sonic blasts are to die for.

I always forget how much I love sonic until I drive by this place. I can remember my parents taking me here as a kid. Have always had great experiences and great service here. Me and a friend use to come here a lot after work. What’s not to love about Sonic!

This particular location is the only location I know of that does things right, the drinks are as they should be, and the food is great. Some of the servers are incredibly friendly also! As for example as to the drinks, I’ve ordered a Pineapple Upside Down Master Blast from the 23^rd street location and it was absolutely bitter, but I have noticed Mall View has perfected it– as well as other drinks. This is my favorite location.

Finally went to Sonic since we dont have any near L. A where i live on the way up to SF had the brownie sundae some cheesecake bites and a Snickers blasts me and my friends shared it all it was pretty good i liked the brownie sundae and the cheesecake bites, the snickers blasts was average McFlurry from McDonalds is better

I like Sonics because I don’t have it everyday. If it were convenient for me to frequent a Sonics more often I probably wouldn’t be a fan.
Food
I didn’t really care for their slushies, they were really sweet and left me with a headache.
I do like their cony dog but it isn’t gods gift to earth.
Tater Tots: I always get tater tots whether that be with cheese or chili and they’re basic but good.
Tip
I love that they have happy hour; 2:00pm-5:00pm.

Wait for 2 shakes was 10min, outside of cups covered in ice cream :/​and server had no napkins on him.

I really wish this Sonic had a drive-​thru. THOUGH I get that it is a drive IN! The wait was a little long considering all I had ordered were too drinks. Maybe they were low on staff that day. Also the card reader wasn’t working properly, but I understand sometime that things like that cannot be helped.

Their service here was top notch and I had the Super Sonic Cheese burger, which is the best one I have had there yet… can’t wait to go back sometime.

What’s there to say about Sonic’s? It’s the same thing usually. And most times it is pretty good. I mean, I usually like eating at Sonics.
This time however, was just. okay. I went with a group of five people. Three of the orders came out wrong. Mine was one of them! I ordered a sausage toaster. but instead received bacon. And, the pineapple shake was way too sweet! My sister’s slush. was apparently much more sweeter than my shake.
We told the employees about the our order, and they were nice about it and apologized.. and gave replaced my bacon with sausage. probably using the same sandwich…
The table we sat at. reminded me of one of those. shady bathroom stalls. There were lots of. carved in writing in it.. «For a good time call» and «Good … call». It was funny.
