Quality Shoe & Foot Care

Anytime I have shoe or foot problems, this is the only shoe shop in town that I will go to. These guys have fixed and added life to any shoe that I bring in, even when I was about to get rid of certain pairs. They’ve fixed problems I’ve had with arch as well. They’re very customer friendly, honest, and prices are fair. Plus they’re a locally owned small business!
I even left a pair of dress shoes at their shop one time for about 4 months. I came in to have them work on another pair and they brought my old pair right out to me, even past their 30 day notice on their tag.
If these guys go out of business, I’m gonna have to go barefoot for the rest of my life!

Basic shoe repair of low to medium priced shoes with thick rubber soles… possibly. Integrity ethical business practices, and customer care… not at all. Specifically, be aware of their disreputable practice of giving your shoes away without notification if not picked up in what they determine to be an appropriate amount of time. It was shocking to discover when I went to pick up my shoes that they had given them away without my knowledge or permission. But, it was more shocking when they refused to acknowledge that they have no right to give anyone else’s property away without their permission or notification. As a successful business owner for many years, it was my suggestion that a responsible business practice would be to visibly post their policy so that customers are aware of their undisclosed policy. They remained unapologetic, unconcerned, unresponsive to the suggestion, and clearly not interested in customer relations. Their unwillingness to accept any level of responsibility in what is arguably an illegal business practice makes it easy to conclude that customers are not their priority.

The best shoe repair in town. I have a pair of Birkenstock Arizona sandals that I bought way back in 1995, and they were in major need of repair, so I took the pair to be repaired because they are experts in repairing Birkenstock, in fact they’re in partnership with Birkenstock so they overhauled my sandals and they look as if I just bought them brand new. Everything was replaced except the leather and the buckles. They not only repair Birkenstock shoes but they repair UGG boots, other shoes, purses and other leather goods. The customer service is epic, they are reliable, friendly, affordable, and very efficient. I Highly recommend this shoe repair shop to family, friends, and everyone who wants epic quality repair goods at an affordable cost.

Very customer friendly. I had the heels on two pair of men’s shoes replaced, those shoes polished, and the heel on one of my wife’s high heels repaired. Great job on everything. I would go back to these guys.

First time I have ever bought shoe cleaner/​polish. These guys explained to me everything I need to do in a very simple, straight forward manner and even replaced a metal tack on my shoe for free. Awesome shop!

Love this locally owned small business! I have brought a few things in over the years and their customer service is great! If it’s a real quick fix, sometimes the owner will fix it right then and doesn’t even charge me! They are so sweet! I’ve brought in shoes, belts, purses and they are always able to help fix them. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone in Bakersfield!

Brought my peep toe heels. I always seem to have issues with having this style of shoe fit correctly however this place did not disappoint. My shoes were stretched where needed & it was inexpensive too. The gentleman who helped me was polite & informative & extremely handsome lol thanks !!

Amazing shoe repair store with reasonable prices and guaranteed «quality» work. Years ago, I made the mistake of taking a designer pair of heels, and designer doctor scholl’s Paul frank (Julius) sandals to the shop on Ming Avenue (behind Long John Silver’s restaurant). The Dr. Scholl’s sandals needed a new screw in the side of the leather, as the original one had somehow broken off (leaving half of it inside the wood).This repairman overcharged, and merely «nailed» a new screw into the wood! It came apart in less than a week and was unusable. Fortunately, quality shoe and footcare repaired the extra damage caused, and the sandal is once again wearable! I’ve added zippers to boots, redone the soles on shoes and added new heels to my foot ware. This shop offers reasonable, dependable expert shoe repair and maintenance! Wonderful business, highly recommended!

Soles look solid; tops look refreshed. Guy even gave me sound advice on replacing my other pair instead of upselling me. He should have suggested shoes trees… I forgot to get some.

I have been bringing in my shoes here since I moved to Bakersfield many years ago. I have to have a lift put on one of my shoes to compensate for a height difference between left and right legs. They have always done a great job, and the work is always completed when they say it will be. Even when I wait till the last minute and I push them on a time frame.

I’m a dancer, and this is the place that the Bakersfield dancers know to go to have their very expensive dance shoes fixed up to look and feel like new for a fraction of the cost of new shoes. **They repair regular shoes here, too!**

When the dog ate the Cuban heel off one of my brother’s dance shoes? They rebuilt it like new. (Cue Lee Majors as the Six Million Dollar Man — «Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology.»)
When the heel caps came off several pairs of my high heel shoes at the same time (and of course I lost them) they did a beautiful job of repairing them quickly and inexpensively. Seriously, they looked like new shoes again! I used to throw shoes away when the heels started wearing and looking grungy, but now they get a new lease on life!
They also sell a variety of shoes that look very comfortable, and on my last visit I saw them fitting someone for fancy shoe inserts that look like the kind that they alter to fit each person’s foot individually. As much as I dance, that might just be worth looking into.
I’ll be back soon, as the heel on one of my boots is coming loose and needs to be reattached. I love my shoes, and I love this place!

After meeting, who I presume to be the owner of the store at a work/​life event put on by my employer, and talking to him about repairing my beloved Linds brand bowling shoes I have had and used for the past 27 years I stopped into the store and he gave me some options on how to repair the sole. I left the shoe with him, he said it would be ready the following Wednesday. I picked up the shoe and paid my $ 20 bucks for the repair. I can’t tell you how impressed I am with how they were able to replace the sole and how good the shoe looks now. Now I don’t have alot of experience with cobblers, in fact I kind of thought it was a lost art, but the two guys that work in this shop are fantastic. So, if you need any shoes repaired I would highly reccomend this store. They also appear to sell some shoes, I did see Birkenstocks, but didn’t pay much attention as I was only concerned about getting my bowling shoe repaired. A big thumbs up to this store.
