Sad to update this is no longer a brick and mortar store :(They will however continue to sell stuff online so that’s a plus.

I guess since its been a few years I need to update my review. I have been a long time customer to this awesome local family business. I have followed the owner to each location as she has been able to grow her business that once started in her home. This store is now a good size and offers so many wonderful natural parenting resources. I started by purchasing a baby carrier to make outings easier as recommended by a dear friend. It ended up turning into an obsession. I then began to use cloth diapers and other reusable products that help ease my family’s carbon footprint. Even though we are past the diaper stage I still enjoy visiting this store for all the non diaper items they carry. They have not only diapers and baby carriers but she also carries toys made from wood, feeding products from Kleen Kanteens to bottles and sippy cups, diaper bags, natural nail polish, and Baltic Amber jewelry. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the knowledgeable staff. One of the best things about the owner Stefanie is that if she doesn’t have what you need she will go out of her way to try and carry a product for you. It is also noted that they also have classes on cloth diapering and provide a place for our local Baby Café to help with breastfeeding mothers.

I love that Bakersfield has this store! Huge selection and great, helpful customer service. If you are even considering cloth diapers or other natural parenting products, stop in and you’ll definitely be greeted with a smile and a helping hand (or allowed to browse in peace, if that’s your style — it is mine!). I also appreciate that they offer a loyalty rewards program and teach budget diapering, as cloth diapering can look expensive when you first see price tags (but once you compare it to the expense of disposables, you’ll be amazed at how much money you save in the long run!)

Love this store! Only place in town to buy new cloth diapers and other green baby options. The girl at the counter is very very sweet and knowledgeable.

Although this store may have some great natural products their staff and the way they handle their business is HORRIBLE. The owner Stephanie is the worst. I was appalled at the lack of knowledge their staff had and rude customer service. I registered there for my baby shower and it was downhill from there. When I called to go over the list of what I had wanted Stephanie responded with «well it’s at home so I can’t do that right now» 6 months after I had my baby I was given a gift certificate and when I went to use it at the store it was «invalid» the rude sales girl didn’t have the tools or knowledge to look into the problem before she responded «you don’t have to be rude». She must have been so flustered or hearing things because I hadn’t said anything. It was probably never activated.
Needless to say I will never shop with them again. No loss for me I don’t live in Bakersfield but before you register for your baby shower or purchase any gift certificates be aware you may have the same issues.

Love this store, even from a distance! Knowledgeable staff and friendly with all my questions. I have had orders shipped promptly and with excellent service multiple times. One of my favorite stores! Thanks Stephanie and team!

Found this store online while looking for cloth diapers. They carry a wide variety of everything for crunchy/​natural moms. I was looking for cute girly diapers for my princess and other stuff i needed. Other websites had certain products but not others, I am very picky! I only want the best and girliest things for my daughter. And also didnt want to order single items from random websites. Boy was i glad i stumbled upon their site! i was so surprised how fast they ship and am extremely pleased with their services. Will definitely be ordering more stuff. And hope to one day visit their store personally.

I want to drop them a star because my wife can’t go into their store without spending $ 50 or more, but they are a really good store. I think they strike a good balance between stocking what you will need/​want now and what you’re willing to order. The owner and her staff do a great job of offering advice and showing you how to use the various devices, contraptions, and toys they offer for use. If you’re into «green» living, they have some items that are intended for anyone, not just babies. I highly recommend this store.

I love this store so much! They’re a great local business and have all your attachment parenting needs! I love the environment, friendly staff, and they host many events to help out mothers and provide them with helpful info! My favorite baby store!

This place is the best natural parenting store you’ll find in Bakersfield! I’ve been to a few other cloth diaper or natural parenting goods stores in CA, and they just don’t have the personal touch that Planet Bambini does. Are you interested in baby/​toddler-​wearing? Cloth diapering? Homeopathic wellness items? Wooden toys or even non-​toxic nail polish? Then PB is your place! Not only that, but the owner Stefanie is there to give you lots of encouragement and advice if you’re not quite sure where to start. There are regular events and classes, on topics like breastfeeding, cloth diapering, and even baby signing! She has a reading library with natural parenting books on all topics, too. I think the only con about Planet Bambini is that you’ll be tempted to buy everything! Haha. ;)

So they moved to a much larger location, so there is so much more to shop. They also have a large room they’re putting together for events, meetings, and a playroom for the kids. They sale Sloomb wool, so if you’re into that sorta thing you can go check out what the sizes actually are. The owner is super helpful, you wont be disappointed.

Awesome place & the sweetest owner ever! Always there when you need anything and will work with you &get you just what you want/​need. She helped us learn about cloth diapers when we first found out we were expecting &im a truly grateful for all the knowledge &great customer service we’ve received. Plus the the money they’ve helped us save:) Planet Bambini ROCKS!!!
