Payless Towing

DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS! I needed a commuter car, cheap not pretty. Went to these guys, man oh man. Sold me a car that ran enough to get off the lot. When we started the car I was given a song and dance well it’s been sitting and all it needs is some premium gas and run it on the freeway. I promise this is a good car. He even went so far as to say I would put my daughter and grand daughter in this. NOT! Now car wont even start, one piston not working and they are telling me too bad so sad. BEWARE. If the owner calls me and gives me a refund I will take this post down.
So I just received a call from JR, I thought maybe they were going to make things right. No, instead he was yelling at me for posting this review, I also posted on facebook. I told him if they refund my money I will take both post’s down. What I have posted is the truth!
Well it’s the end of the day and nothing from the owner or manager from Payless towing. No offer to make it right or an exchange for another car. Just nothing. Here we go I guess.

I was notified by law enforcement that my stolen car had been recovered and towed to a Payless yard. Customer service at the main number didn’t knock me out, but we greeted Big Ron at the yard on State Rd. where the car was. It was a few minutes before their open time, but he was fine getting us in early. He was so cheerful about the paperwork. Then he helped by starting the car (the battery had been taken) with some device and advising that we might very well get it home as long as it wasn’t shut off. And so we did! Big Ron helped us make the best of an unfortunate situation.

My minivans alternator died just after the Grapevine on our trip home from Disneyland. I barely made it into the first exit to a gas station and happened to call Payless Towing by chance based on the phone book they gave me at the station. The dispatcher listened to my story about the battery light coming on, the lights that came on my dash panel and told me I didn’t need a new battery like my request. He told me I needed a tow to Bakersfield to get my alternator fixed at a mechanic. He also advised me that where I was located there was no mechanics and I needed to get to Bakersfield. It was 1 pm the day before New Years and I had a 8 hour drive and kids in the car. Thanks to Payless Towing, they found me a mechanic in Bakersfield, the tow driver David got us there within an hour, the mechanic diagnosed our problem and fixed it within hours and we got on the road and home. The fact that the dispatcher helped me identify the problem then found me a place to get my car fixed was incredible to me. Then Payless Towing even called us while we waited at the mechanic to be sure we were getting the help we needed. Who does this? As a woman traveling with kids alone, I am forever grateful to the team at Payless Towing! What great service! Thank you! And my 3 year old thought the ride in David’s tow truck was better than Disneyland too!
