Established in 2008.

Mr. Fix-​It has been doing repairs and maintenance for over 25 years. Because of demand, in 2008, Jim decided to go full-​time performing handyman repairs for residential and commercial clients. Jim is a General Contractor licensed by the State of California.

We’ve hired Mr Fix-​It to take care of some issues in our tenant-​occupied home in SW Bakersfield. They have been amazing to work with, always responsive to requests, and have done a superb job (even fixing things a previous handyman screwed up). I highly recommend them!

Mr. Fix-​It and his team have completed many projects at my home, virtually all of them very substantial: replacing a roof and adding solar tubes; installing an HVAC system; mudding over my popcorn ceiling; and renovating my garage (which was tar-​paper and studs, when I moved in). In every instance, he has been extremely professional. He has been courteous, as has his team. He even made an emergency water heater replacement when I had to be out of town. He did it the day I asked, despite his very busy schedule. His work has always been of the highest caliber; I have always been delighted with the results.
He has never tried to «upsell» me, which seems to be common practice in this field. He will find the right solution for your price range. As any homeowner knows, being able to trust the person who works on your house is an incredible relief. He is the only home repair person I will call.
I’m sorry the previous reviewer was frustrated with his service. Mr. Fix-​It may have had to special order the replacement glass for the shower, but I have no doubt that he would have made things right for this customer. He is extremely ethical and responsible.

I have used this guy a lot! I am so disappointed and pissed off that he screwed up on my shower glass measurements, to where there’s a gap and water gets on the floor!!! Then in one bathroom where we had him change out our tub to a shower, the drain won’t unscrew and come out. I called him out and he finally came out to take a look at it. He told me he could fix it the next day. No show no call! He ignored my calls for over two weeks! So I finally called someone else out! I do not recommend this company at all! Never again!
