Before writing my review, I just wanted to tell you that I am doing a white collar professional job and work in one of the best companies in this area. I am a master degree holder and worked with biggest companies in US.
I know how to treat people and talk to them.
I am writing this review for Sevonnah who works at The Look. She always have on-​going groupon thing going on. I guess coz its cheap, lot of people come and she doesnt treat people right. I dont usually write reviews but I purchased groupon of her and scheduled appointment. It was after 1 month and I wanted to reschedule nearby my appointment. I called her so many times, left vms, text messages but she didnt reply. Then next time I called at «The Look» she said she will charge me for not showing up. Anyhow, we scheduled another appointment and just 15 mins before my appointment she sent a text that she can’t take me and will give me another appt. After that I sent so many text messages, called but no answer. Then I called the salon «The Look» and she came on phone and lied that she gave me an appt but when I asked her to send me the screenshot, she felt offended and understood that her lie is caught. She said she doesnt have time and I am cancelling your groupon and then hang up on me. I called back the salon and said she hang up on me and then Michelle at reception said if you call again, we will call cops. I couldnt understand what happened and what did I do. Nobody ever talked to me like this. I know how to behave but a good professional salon and people with some values will never behave like this to you. I was being very nice and polite, I guess my fault was just asking her to show me that she ever responded to me and she couldn’t bear questioning her back. I was not even loud or used any kind of bad word still she behaved like this. I guess she was frustrated and over-​whelmed with her tight schedule or something else and she used me like her emotional punching bag.
I never called back not because I was wrong but because she could damage my skin if I go back to her again.
I think either being cheap she gets too many clients and dont care about people feelings or being not white they treated me like this.
Since The Look is also getting business from her, they also dont say anything to their contractors.
Atlast I can say that «You get what you pay for». Any good professional place or person will never do this to anybody.

Called multiple times to make an appointment with Laurie, left messages. Even stopped by the Salon personally and was told to write my number on a little yellow sticky note, well as no surprise at all a return call or appointment was never and still hasnt been made. This was approx a month ago, I will no longer attempt to have my nails done by a so called owner that is so irresponsible.

I really enjoy the atmosphere at The Look. Danielle is amazing with my hair

Laurie, the owner of The Look, is hands down the best nail girl in the whole valley. If you’re into subtle, she can certainly do that, too– but where Laurie shines is with crazy, out there, beautiful acrylics. You know the ones: lots of colors, lots of detail, lots of doodads in the acrylic. Laurie does amazing work AND is just a doll to chat with.
Laurie also does my hair, which I’m incredibly picky about, and does an amazing job. The best thing is that she does NOT double book, so you’re not going to end up sitting around for five hours while she foils someone else during your appointment.
The salon itself has snacks and drinks for customers, which is a definite plus. The salon also offers massage, makeup, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, rock star nails.. . on and on. Definitely give them a call if you’re looking for new salon to go to. You wont regret it :)
