Kern County Assessor-Recorder

I had the fine experience of involving myself with getting some legal processes for land by the Kern County Assessor-​Recorder office.
I thought this would take at least 30 minutes…
Walked in. served right away.
in less than one minute, I had the document i needed
Was told it would cost $ 3.50 for it.
went to a secondary window.
paid the $ 3.50
walked out. DONE.
Nobody was rude
Nobody was mean
Everyone was helpful

All I did was ask for clarification on a letter received from the Assessor’s Office; was transferred by the Receptionist to whomever. The person answered, did not even give her name, continued to ask her what I needed and rudely went through the letter and what’s needing to be Notarized, and where I can find forms online from the Kern County Hall of Records for requesting original deeds; plus a fee involved and then was hung up on. If the women I spoke with is the Fiscal Support Specialist in the Title Section working at Kern County; she absolutely needs to be trained on «How To Improve on Customer Service». Very bad; especially for a «government-​type» of office. What’s this world coming to? Do people have to be soooooo rude? The way she spoke was very intimidateing, degrading, condecending, demeanding — just outright, very bad! Give her a call if you want someone to ruin your day. 661 868 3318
