Caesar’s Italian Delicatessen

I’m surprised with all the times I’ve eaten here or have gotten food here I’ve never written a review… well now is the time. I really like this little spot, they have good food, decent prices and the staff is generally pretty friendly. When my wife and I were dating and she lived in town, I think we would go probably like once or twice a week. I like the fact that they have meat and cheese ready to be sliced and fresh salads ready to go. The platters and the catering they do seem to really be a great deal also. Even though we don’t live in town anymore, we might just think of some occasion to get a nice lunch catered by them. My favorite sandwich is the Roma and I usually have them add mayo to it and it is amazing! The ranch pasta is awesome and they have a great selection of chips. You can’t go wrong here, I need to be adventurous and try new things like the pastrami or meatball sandwich. I just keep coming back to the same delicious sandwich, every time! BEST SANDWICHES IN TOWN. If you want a good sandwich with fresh bread and yummy ingredients come here! And every single one of their side salads are delicious! Bakersfield is lucky to have Ceasars!!!

OK, but certainly not better than Sequoia Sandwich Shop. Soup was good, we had minestrone and a meatball sandwich. The bread was excellent, the meatballs were bland and mushy. Staff not too friendly. It was just OK, we’ll stick to Sequoia.

I absolutely love Ceasars! However after work one day my husband and I had no kids for the night! Yay!!! So we stopped in at 6:20pm. It was very obvious the staff was bothered and upset. I asked are you still open and they stated yes till 7. Okay great! Ordered our food, when asking about some salads, was cut short they were out. They continued to put chairs on tables and clean so we decided not to stay and eat since we felt uncomfortable. I just know being a local business owner myself I would want to know if my staff reacted this way. Please know that the food is fab!!! The service on this night was unfortunately not up to par :(

Amazing food and very sweet and prompt staff. I miss the Niles location but I live in the northwest so I still get to experience it. I love the Ranch Pasta.

I’ve been coming here for a few years and best sandwiches in town! Ceasers Special sandwich and then deep bit are a must try! Also minestrone soup is a must try :)

Service — just made a large order. I forgot to ask who I was talking with but the girl didn’t take my order correctly then I got hung up on so I had to call back. I did not even get an apology for being hung up on and I felt rushed. She did not take her time with taking in my order. Hopefully the food I order will be tasty and service will be better when I go pick up my order. Pretty disappointed with the service!

My first experience with Caesar’s was for my grandfather’s memorial service. It was the only place my mom found that gave a gluten free option for catering. She has celiac disease and a few of our guests are gluten intolerant, so it was a necessity. The meat trays, sides, and all the fixings were perfect for my grandfather’s memorial service. Although he would have never ate any of it! He was a very picky man! The choice in food went over well with our guests and several complimented us. I, too, enjoyed it.
My next experience was this past week. I stopped there with 2 of my girlfriends as we headed to Pismo Beach for our Women’s Retreat. It was almost 1pm when we stopped. The whole inside and outside was packed! I thought we wouldn’t get a seat. But, as soon as we got our food, there were several tables open to sit down at.
Our first comment was that we would never be able to finish our whole sandwich because it was huge! Although I did pick off a lot of the bread, we all ended up finishing our sandwiches. I think it was because we were famished and it was way past our normal lunch time. We all enjoyed our food and it’s definitely a place I wouldn’t mind trying again.

The majority of my experiences with Caesar’s Italian Delicatessen have been with the food that they cater. One of my friends orders their large salads every time she throws a party. You can get a huge salad that serves 20 – 30 people for only $ 15 – 20 depending on what toppings you want on it. The presentation is very nice and the lettuce and vegetables always fresh and crisp.
I’m a teacher at an elementary school in town. Every month the different grade levels take turns sponsoring a lunch for the entire staff. We call these Fat Fridays. At least once or twice a year, a grade level caters a pasta lunch from Caesar’s Italian Delicatessen. I’ve tried their spaghetti, lasagna, and penne at these events as well as the salads and everything is tasty, even produced in such large quantities. We get pretty excited (well, everybody except for the one celiac teacher) when we see the big foil catering pans from Caesar’s.
Recently, I had the opportunity to visit Caesar’s Italian Deli, located on the Northeast corner of Calloway and Brimhall in person when I decided I was going to learn to make my own tiramisu. Where to find ladyfingers? Mom called a friend of hers that is Italian to pose this perplexing question and she told us to find an Italian Deli. Not only do they sell ladyfingers at very reasonable prices, but they also carry a number of other Italian grocery items including frozen tiramisu for those in more of a rush than I.
You can also purchase a variety of sandwiches to eat on site and of course you can purchase a variety of deli meats and cheeses. If you are planning a party and like Italian food you really need to make a trip down to Caesar’s Italian Delicatessen to let them cater it for you. Or come on in to grab a bite to eat for lunch.

So glad I’ve switched from the other establishment to this one. Despite 30 years of patronizing the other place, I was no longer valued as a regular customer so headed to this Caesars Deli. Wow! Awesome customer service, superb quality and delightful, clean, updated environment. I doubt they will ever make a mistake on my order but if they do, I doubt they’ll argue over some measly pepper slices and lose my business. Way to go Caesar’s Deli. My Roma (no Cotto/​no lettuce, extra peppers) is delicious and I can’t wait to heat up the lasagne for family dinner tonight. I’m also glad I ordered my holiday platters today.

Small, always fast, friendly, fresh and delicious. Cute, creative sandwich names. Love the crushed ice and the fact they serve Pepsi products. Desserts are delicious as well. Salads are huge, and filling. Great spot to eat.

I love this deli. I’ve been going there since the original location on the East side was around. Not sure if it still is? The sandwiches are always delicious and consistent. It reminds me of childhood lunches with my Grandmother! Everything is delicious, including their olive selection, giant pickles, fresh sides, and the All time best «special sandwich.» Call your order in and pick it up! Oh huh, their platters are great for parties too. It’s great to pick up on a night when your kiddo is sick, and there’s no time to cook.
I tried their tuna sandwich for the first time. It was the best I’ve ever had. I had them add dill pickles! Delish!

Ceasars is a solid place to find meats and cheeses for a charcuterie tray. Good sandwiches, nothing too «out of the box», but still good. Stuffed peppers are great.
The staff is consistently friendly and the store has always been clean.
Have been here several times over the years and would recommend it.

If you like sandwiches Caesars deli has been around since I’ve been a kid they are the best they have fresh cut meats cheeses they have great pastas the best sandwiches around and if you have a KVC card you can get one sandwich and get the other one for a dollar so give Caesars a try you won’t be disappointed and they have the best pickled tongue that I’ve ever had

Ok so I thought I’d try this place out. Had some nice reviews. The service was pretty simple. Nothing that made me go wow.
Ok so the food. I got a meatball sandwich. It was ok. I thought the meatballs were really good. But very light sauce. Overall nothing really special stood out. Also nothing really bad stuck out either. I would like to try other sand witches before I write this place off.

I always like the food when I choose to have lunch here, but I find they’re often out of a certain product so then I have to re-​think what I’m going to order at the register. I’m assuming it’s because they’re ALWAYS super busy around lunch time, but they still do a great job getting food out quickly. Very efficient even during the rush hour.
I wish they had more outside patio seating, because it’s so busy I would usually prefer to sit outside of the weather is nice. But overall good place to pick up lunch if you’re in the area.

Just had the Caesar Special after not having been into the restaurant in a couple of years. It was better than I remembered. Admittedly, I asked for no peppers on mine. You can get a bag of chips or choice of side with a sandwich and drink for less than $ 9. That’s not too bad considering that the meal tasted better than any meal I can remember having at Subway Sandwiches.
The restaurant also has a little shopping area with some Italian groceries, including frozen raviolis. Today I say McConnell’s ice cream (a premium brand) in their freezer section. I also spotted some refrigerated lasagnas for people to take and bake/​warm for a meal at home.
Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area looking for a quick bite to eat.

Love the cheese and meat selection for those in your family that love sandwiches. There is always a special. Huge pickles at the order counter for 50 cents if you like these with your meal.
I stopped in for lunch to grab a small cup of soup. I mean, where else can you get a glass of white zin for $ 3?! Big like! They have cold beer too in the cooler, maybe 6 – 7 types.
The clam chowder tho — ugh, Do not order this. It is thick, floury and gloopy. I had to add 4 packs of crackers and my hot sauce to eat it. I had a sample of the minestrone soup right after and I wish I had ordered that. It was pretty good and made fresh daily I later learned.
Be aware that the soup of the week really is made by the week and I fear if I ordered it on day 7, my tummy likely would not be able to handle it. Today that soup was chicken enchilada and I avoided it — just in case. At least the employee was honest (and friendly)!
It is a happening lunch spot and this eatery does get lined up! There are a few tables in and out or you can take your lunch to go.

Caesar’s is a Bakersfield staple for really excellent sandwiches and sides. They have a great deli inside, where you can purchase sides, etc. They’ve got fountain drinks as well as teas, varieties of water, juices, and so on. Their sandwiches are excellent, their service is really good, and their sides are all killer.
I love this location. The staff is really nice, and they know their stuff. You can also purchase cheeses, chips, and they always have party platters and stuff for a decent price.
Try the Caesar’s special and the turkey sandwich. If you’re partial to things without meat, their veggie sandwich is THE BEST.

Do you ever just want a good sandwich? Something you can design yourself with just the right stuff or maybe just find that right combination of great ingredients.
Well this place never disappoints me when it comes to a great sandwich. I tend to be a creature of habit when it comes to sandwiches, but sometimes I step out of the box.
I get my hair done next door and I was starving so I went in and ordered a turkey sandwich. OMG I totally forgot how wonderful this place is! Soft sesame roll just the right amount of mayo, turkey, lettuce and peppers. I read in previous reviews about too much ice in the drinks, so now they ask if you want a lot or a little ice. Good looking out in reading your reviews.
After getting my hair done I picked up my husband a pickled tongue sandwich, clam chowder and I grabbed me a small broccoli salad to finish up my sandwich. Well hubby raved about his sandwich!!! I took a bite, yes it was absolutely amazing, the tongue was perfect. Also served on a soft sesame roll. The chowder was a little on the thick side and light on the clams. But was tasty. Broccoli salad with Gorgonzola and grapes was very good.
This is my new go to place for sandwiches.
