So I’ve been going to Brink’s for as long as I can remember. I use to go there almost everyday because I worked nearby. I loved the sandwiches and salads. It’s been awhile since my last visit. On today’s visit I ordered two sandwiches to go. 1st sandwich my husband got the hot pastrami it was just okay the Star was the grilled bread the pastrami lacked in the flavor department. Barely any type of seasoning what so ever on the meat it tasted just like my roast beef. 2nd sandwich was a roast beef. Okay my sandwich had one slice of roast beef and two very small slices of tomato, enough lettuce to make a salad and two huge slices of onion. You would think I ordered a vegetarian sandwich. Here’s the great news each sandwich was $ 7.50(sarcastically stated). If the sandwiches were like how they use to be I wouldn’t have minded but seriously I really don’t think I’ll be returning. Such a shame! ***See photo of my sandwich in photos.

Very delicious sandwiches served at this place. My wife ordered herself a a 8 inch vegetarian and I ordered myself a 10 inch hot pastrami. We both thought they tasted wonderful. Everything was made with quality ingredients, our order was done fast, really well portioned, priced good and really good, friendly customer service.

I ordered the Ortega Jack sandwich on a wheat roll and they said it was fine. I received the sandwich and it was on regular bread. I asked for the roll the second time and they said it didn’t come with a roll, which should have been clarified when I ordered it the first time. Her solution was to take all the«guts» out of the first sandwich and put it into the second… Unhygienic and gross. Furthermore, the blonde older lady then continued to argue with me and said, you should have ordered the«jack sandwich» instead, you should look at the menu. I NEVER have these issues at Too Fats. I hope this lady does not do this to all her customers.

I come here on average about 4 to 5 times a month(I work closeby). Usually have a good experience. I come in, order my food, sit and in a reasonable about of time my food is brought to the table. I sit and never feel rushed. Today however was the opposite. I decided to change up my usual turkey sub to a salad and a sandwich. I told the girl it was for dine in. The girl in the back began making my order before I was even finished ordering. I sit and a few minutes later she brinks my sandwich in a to go bag… no salad. I told her i was missing my salad, she insisted my order was complete. Then the other girl told her about the salad. I say its ok and then tell her I’ll wait for it and eat it here. She brings it in another to go bag! I honestly did not feel welcome at all! And felt like I was being an inconvenience to them. Think I’ll have to find another place to enjoy my lunch from now on.

Just get the Sicilian Beef with pepper jack cheese. It’s their specialty and always a winner!

Decent. It could easily be a 5 star if the breads were fresh baked. Also the«eggs from hell» um horrible. No spice at all. I’ll come back again though.

I’ve been coming here since high school. Their sandwiches blow Subway’s out of the water. My personal favorite is the ultimate club. It’s very clean, the staff is very friendly and their menu selection is pretty adequate. I gave them 4 stars because the wine selection is lacking a tad, but overall, it’s pretty damn good for the price. I’d like to try their catering at some point and when I do I will be back to review that as well.

First timer! Good place to grab some tasty sandwiches. I tried their BBQ sandwich and my boyfriend tried their French dip. My BBQ sandwich was a little salty but it was still good and their french dip was pretty good as well but kind of lacked flavor but it was okay. Going to come back soon to try their deli sandwiches that others are raving about.

This is one of my favorite sandwich shops in Bakersfield. It is always clean and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend the guy’s spicy chicken sandwich.

The sandwiches we had were decent but nothing special. Lacked flavor even with«our world famous garlic sauce» which I didn’t find very tasty. The meat was sparse. Not what you normally get from a deli. Subway heaps it on comparatively. The staff and the owner, were friendly but the cook seemed to be inexperienced. I heard the boss telling her how to make a Reuben sandwich we ordered. The owner seemed proud of the«new» décor which I found lackluster. Expensive for the amount you get. The original deli was far better.

I got food drunk on these delicious sandwiches. This is not subway or togos this is a real deli. They have all kinds of knick knacks you can like hot sauce or stuffed olives. Nothing but praise for this establishment.

This review is based solely on one sandwich. I just ate it. I meant to wait to eat it until I got back to the office, but after daintily trying a small bite, I scarfed it down between two stop lights driving down Ming Ave. Earlier, I had walked out of a store next door and catching a whiff of something delightful and garlicky, turned around and walked immediately into Brinks and asked the girl at the counter what smelled so damn good. The Italian Beef sandwich with garlic spread. The sandwich was legit! The bread was a soft and toasted sesame seed bun, the meat was perfectly cooked and heated, and the garlic butter spread… Oh God, the garlic butter spread. Now I know what I can say I’m thankful for this Thursday at the family meal(it’s Thanksgiving). Kidding. I’m also grateful for this awesome chocolate pudding I’m eating while I type this. This place still serves some of the best sandwiches in Bakersfield. Yes the owners have changed and it is a different place but still great food. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

I will never go here again. The food wasn’t bad tasting but what I witnessed one of their employees do totally disgusted me. I got a sandwich and the girl that made it went straight from the register to making my sandwich without washing her hands or wearing gloves. Then she scooped up some salsa with her bare hands and spread it across my sandwich. Totally disgusting!!! I won’t be giving them my business until they start being more sanitary with their preparations.

The sandwiches here are pretty good, but you have to deal with terrible service. Brinks is not very kid-friendly either. They only have one high chair! The day we went there, my 18 month old son had to eat sitting on my husband’s lap. There were at least three other babies and/or toddlers in the restaurant who had to go without proper seating. Totally ridiculous.

Absolutely awful service. Brought my 6 yr old and we waited 15 before we got his ham & cheese with no mayo… Waited 15 minutes and they still added mayo. Not hard to mess up a kids ham and cheese sandwich. There had to be 5 people making sandwiches with 2 orders and it took that long. My sandwich was also wrong, I had the roast beef melt and Not impressed at all. I ordered a sourdough roll, and I got some other bread. I was expecting a better Brinks from the old one. I used to frequent this place often. Very disappointed. I will not be going back any time soon.

All-Time Classic Local Spot… but I believe it is under new management as the décor has changed drastically. Thankfully, the sandwiches have not! I still think it SUCKS that they don’t offer more of a combo… which has my sandwich lunch hitting over $ 12.00. Not bad, but always keeps me away until my craving is strong enough to force me back. I put up a few pics of the new décor… like to see what new additions will happen by then next visit.

I love Brinks! This is the best deli in town. I’ve been coming her for over 10 years and the sandwich I always get has always been consistent. The smoked turkey is my all time favorite. The sandwiches here are always packed. I love that they don’t skimp on the toppings. Some sandwich places pack their sandwich with lettuce, but not Brinks. My turkey sandwich is overfilled with turkey. This place gets very busy at lunch time. They take orders over the phone for those in a hurry.
