Heard about this place through one of the talk posts, I have been craving legit banh mi sandwiches and Bakersfield has seriously been lacking. The establishment is located in the former Ming target location shopping center. Not much is left since it leaving. The store is well lit and very clean. Walking in there are several carrom pool tables and a super awesome looking ping pong table. The back pool table was occupied and the Ping pong table as well, with a kid and his dad playing more intense than Forrest Gump. I was afraid that the sandwiches I ha heard about were non existent because I didn’t see the small kitchen in the back right away. The menu posted above the kitchen didn’t mention anything about sandwiches which scared me more but the super nice lady working walked up and asked us if we wanted drinks or food and we said food, then she said what she had on the menu for today, several types of soup and the sandwiches. Three kinds barbecue pork meatball and deli meat. I opted for the barbecue pork it sounded the most delicious the sandwich was made fresh with the usual bánh mì accompaniments. The sandwich was neatly wrapped in white paper and when we opened it the smells immediately hit my nose the bread French baguette was crunchy outside and soft inside the vegetables fresh and clean with a wonderful taste the jalapeño added a slight spice that accompanied the marinated pork very well. We left the store very satisfied and ordered more sandwiches to go. When we were pulling out the lot we noticed that the lady was waving us down, we stopped she said she had accidentally overcharged us and had our change. We respectfully declined our change and were in amazement because you honestly don’t see or hear about that anymore at all. I really enjoyed Kim khan billiards and have returned several times since my first visit a few wks ago.
