I can’t say enough good things about these guys
Our car broke down while traveling thru Bakersfield
I first took the car to pep boy’s and $ 90 later they told me what I already knew. Car was misfiring but they couldn’t fix it
Wasted half a day to find this out
I then looked up the closest auto repair to our hotel
Called and they said bring it right in
They fixed the car quicker then they said they would and for less money.
Bill, the mechanic that worked on the car was very knowledgeable.
We were back on the road and on our way home to Utah

These guys are incredible, I towed my car in at 2 and they were able to diagnose, order parts and get it up and running again by 4. If I’m ever back in Bakersfield with car trouble, this is where I’m going.

For a couple of years in between owning my Honda Civic and my current Volkswagen Jetta, I drove my Stepfather’s Lincoln Town Car. Yes, I know, it’s not exactly the car you’d picture me driving, but it met the perfect qualification — it was free. My stepfather was trading up to the newer model about the time that my 12 year old Civic was getting ready to bite the dust and he gave it to me at no cost. That enabled me to take my time finding a car I REALLY wanted and gave me a couple of years with no car payments so that I could pay ahead a little on my mortgage.
The car was older and did have a couple of issues, but every time I had a problem I could trust Bedingfield’s Auto Repair to take care of me. They always treated me with respect and never talked down to me because I was a female or because I’m hopeless at diagnosing or fixing anything on a car (beyond replacing fuses or bulbs) by myself. The car was always ready when they said it would be, and the final bill was always came in at the same price as the estimate.
Okay, I’m embarrassed to even admit this part of the story, so don’t judge me for it, but it shows their honesty so I feel I needed to include it in the review. I dropped the Lincoln off and told them I thought that there was something wrong with the air conditioning. It just wasn’t cooling the car down like it used to, and if you’re at all familiar with Bakersfield’s triple digit weather in the summer, you’ll undersand how critical this situation could potentially be. I was braced to hear that the entire system needed to be replaced or overhauled, and was very surprised when they called and told me my car would be ready to be picked up the next day.
I arrived, and the person up front handed me my keys. I asked what was wrong with the car and was told that everything was fine and I could just take it. I asked to talk to one of the mechanics about what had (or hadn’t) been done to my car thinking there’d been some mistake and the car had never been looked at. I give the mechanic mad props that when I questioned him about what EXACTLY had been done to my car diagnosis-​wise and why it was being returned so quickly and at seemingly no charge he kept a straight face as he told me I’d had the air conditioning vents closed and he opened them for me — no charge. They could have told me that I needed my entire air conditioning system redone, that’s certainly what I expected to hear, and I’d have paid for it. Instead, they were honest and I told plenty of people about them.
