I did go back to Travelers today to get resolution on the credit for my return that hadn’t been taken care of previously. It was taken care of, and most graciously, by the gentleman and lady working today.

Travel shops intrigue me. I’m easily transported to other countries, envisioning adventures in exotic parts of the world. These types of stores also remind me of my youthful adventures, travelling for months in Europe, hitchiking the British Isles, using my Eurail pass to travel everywhere from Spain to Greece, summering in Israel, and more. In other words, I’m a sucker for these kinds of stores! This shop is fantastic, with a large selection of books and maps, luggage and gear, clothing and all sorts of travel accessories. When my family and I visited, the man behind the counter was engaged in conversation with a customer. He seemed very knowledgeable about the products and traveling in general. I overheard the customer say he was impressed. I could tell this store has a loyal client based, as the sales man was so engaged and personable. There were things in this store I had never seen before. All sorts of miniature-sized knickknacks, along with the usual adapters and kits and luggage tags and sun hats and wrinkle-proof clothing. The prices were on a par with the other travel shops I’ve been to recently in Seattle and Redmond and Edmonds(I don’t think any travel store that sells quality goods sells merchandise for cheap). Between the large selection of wares and the knowledgeable, friendly sales guy, I’d definately be a regular here if I lived on Bainbridge!

You are sure to find something you like in the wide and varied selection. They have all sorts of travel accessories, those things you did not know existed until you saw it, and now you wonder how you ever went to Timbuktu without it. In addition, they can order anything you like, and their website is a terrific one with tons of info. They offer travel classes, language classes and other events. Even if you are not on Bainbridge Island, but you are a traveler, go visit this website, its a fountain of useful info and product links. 5 stars for being a terrific physical place to find travel related things, talk to knowledgeable people(employees) and for the website which is terrific if you can’t be there in person.
