We encourage our clients to incorporate sustainable (green) building materials in their projects, and design with Universal Design and Aging-​In-​Place strategies consistently in mind.

We love what we do and strive, at every step of the way, to make the design and construction process as fun, enjoyable, and successful as possible for everyone involved.

Established in 1992.

We founded Patina Design Architects in 1992, the year I became a Registered Architect in the State of Washington, and we have enjoyed having our own small firm since then — 22 years! Most of our projects have been located around the Puget Sound area, with the majority here on Bainbridge Island, Washington.

I grew up in Seattle, WA and went to the University of Washington, receiving my BA in Environmental Design in 1981. I graduated with my Master’s Degree in Architecture from University of Oregon in 1986.

I founded Patina Design Architects in 1992, the year I became a Registered Architect in the State of Washington, and have enjoyed having my own small firm since then — 22 years, continually on Bainbridge Island!
