We had to wait 45 minutes for a sandwich. When it finally came, it was very good. However not worth the wait at a non peak time.

Ugh! Skip it! Went there for lunch, ordered 2 tuna sandwiches, got overcharged, waited 25 min. I finally asked about our food and they were like«oh, yeah, the tuna.» Then I stood there while the chef flirted with 2 female diners and kept me waiting for my sandwiches, which were dry and so-so at best. The«side of seasonal fruit» was 3 slices of a little gala apple. All for $ 25 for 2 sandwiches. Never again!

this place is way too expensive for how just okay the food was. we got their most popular, the grilled cheese and tomato soup, which was really only forgettable. go somewhere else if you’re going to pay $ 10 for soup and a sandwich.

I had the gobbler sandwich, warm(or grilled) and it was everything and more! Thanks for being patient with my indecisive behind!

Nice menu with some great sounding sandwiches and salads. BUT we were told there would be a 15 – 20 minute wait for 5 sandwiches when there was only one other occupied table in the restaurant. The wait was actually 30+ minutes. Crazy for something as simple as sandwiches! Don’t go here if you’re in a hurry! Tuna melt was good, as was grilled cheese with tomato soup, but really not worth the wait.

My wife and I stumbled upon this place on a trip to Bainbridge, it was excellent all around! We each got the Turkey sandwich, which was fresh and decisions. The Bread was great and they have a very nice patio outside. Staff was very friendly and polite, a great casual lunch spot.

Just waited a half hour for a sandwich with no notification it would take that long. Got our money back after over a half hour but not before seeing a guy put his hand in the big bucket of chips that goes on everyone’s plate.

A varied and high quality menu. The staff was great and the wine choices were good. Best of all they had Finn River Cider. Attention to detail like the bread quality made the difference, the meatloaf was different, but good and the BLT was great. A nice stop off the ferry from Seattle.

Was expecting a cute, charming little café. Woman taking orders was incredibly rude. I expected more. However, my grilled cheese made up for this unpleasant encounter.

This restaurant is underrated. Food is amazing! Ham and cheese crossiant and pork sandwich are filling, loaded with flavor and fast service. Very well priced and friendly staff. We would def come back if we come back to the island. Other restaurants in area were overly priced.

Good food, decent prices(for an island tour stop), friendly service and the wait wasn’t very long. I’d come back next time I’m on the island, especially because they have small bottles of Prosecco. ;)

Tuna melt and tomato soup is great. Food is generally simple and good here with seemingly fresh ingredients, albeit slightly overpriced at $ 9 – 10 per plate. Coming in at 10am on a Friday the service was pretty fast as we arrived as they had just opened, about 5 mins to order and waited 15mins for our food, and we were the only ones there, take that how you will but it was acceptable to us. The only downside(besides price) was the attitude of the young girl at the register. She seemed annoyed that we asked questions about the menu and was not friendly at all. I see others mentioned this in their review, and they’re right. Her attitude made it extremely difficult to enjoy our experience. All in all, 3 out of 5.

We had high hopes walking into this semi-hipster semi-yuppie joint. We were greeted by a young girl at the register who was anything but excited to answer the 2 simple questions we had about the menu. We ordered the hummus sandwich and kale salad. The hummus sand which had more mayonnaise(not even listed) than hummus. The kale salad was mostly romaine with a splash of kale just for kicks. The salad itself wasn’t bad it’s just not what we ordered. This place has potential, though in this bust Saturday they seemed to be cutting some corners.

They have a great potential based on the menu, but the execution was off. First, for what you get the prices are way too high. The time from order to food on the table seemed to be excessive(30+ minutes for a deli sandwich during a light rush). I had the pozole and a sandwich. The pozole was overly thick and bland. It was more like a chili than the pozoles I have had in the past. The sandwich had very little on it, but the bread was good.

Burger with cheese was super expensive and honestly worst tasting bland horrible tasting burger with some fancy bun that tasted like bland, burger had no secret sauce or custom taste. No juicyness to burger and look like a patty premade from walmart or costco, but not those actually taste good. Ordered sweet potatoe fries. Fries are really, good but same fries as safeway, we saw a worker coming from safeway in cart with four packs of sweet potatoe fries in safeway shopping kart. Our server was great just food really really bad.

We waited ~20 minutes(perhaps slightly longer) for an egg salad sandwich and a hummus/veggie sandwich. Neither sandwich requires cooking, just assembly. It wasn’t busy, so we had a really difficult time trying to understand why it took so long to get our food. The sandwiches themselves were fine. The bread is good. However, these are kid size sandwiches. Really — they’re unusually small. I was really disappointed to spend $ 10 on a tiny egg salad sandwich that took ~20 minutes to receive.

Was on the island for the day and was told to check this place out. We went in and ordered two grilled cheeses and a cup of tomato soup. It took right at 25 minutes for our food to come out. The food was good enough but the wait absolutely killed it for me. How long does it take to make soup and a grilled cheese? Won’t be back and would not recommend you go unless you’ve got plenty of time to spare. To be fair, after we had been waiting for 15 minutes or so we overheard patrons at the counter being told that it would be a 25 minute wait for food. I’m sure the kitchen just got backed up. Had we been given a similar warning we would’ve found somewhere else.

Order the Reuben — yummmo! Cute little hipster joint tucked away on Madrone lane. Service was quick & friendly No public restroom is a bummer and the seating situation is a little odd. Overall really cute little lunch spot.

How I heard of this place: On a glorious summer afternoon on Bainbridge Island, our long walk prepared us for lunch… or ice cream. The queue at Mora was not worth the wait, so we looked across the square and spotted a cute café, serving sandwiches and lunch fare. It was decided. Type of cuisine: Enjoy a simple, light, American lunch, including cold and grilled sandwiches, salads and soup, with house-made iced tea, lemonade or a variety of bottled beverages. Ambiance: Strangely crowded into the back corner of a communal entryway with what resembled office space upstairs, the nestled café’s brightly colored interior and mini outdoor patio are quite a welcome retreat. What I ordered: For me, the Bacon & Veggie Sandwich($ 9.25) with bacon, avocado, Butler Farm greens, shaved sweet onion, and house green goddess. Each sandwich served with a side of lightly salted Kettle Chips. My husband chose the Grilled F&S Meatloaf($ 8.75), house meatloaf with cheddar and dill pickle served on Blackbird multigrain, and a side of Rosemary Lemonade. What I loved: In the mood for something salty, the potato chips won me over, but the sandwiches certainly give us reason to return! The grilled meatloaf surprised me with it’s pleasant flavor and hot meltedness, while the avocado and ample bacon in my sandwich had my husband asking for his own half! Why I loved it: A great, simple lunch spot from which to people watch, enjoy a bite outside in the warmth of the summer sun and young, friendly staff. Cost: Average to high($ 8.25 — $ 10 per full sandwich)

I’ve been to this little place a few times over the years and have always enjoyed my lunch.(Bainbridge Island is a quick ferry ride & a great way to spend an afternoon if you’re in Seattle for more than a few days.) The menu has a variety of comfort food and also healthier choices like salads and soups. I enjoyed my simple salad with romaine radishes and quinoa. Light and refreshing for a short stop on our Bainbridge stroll. FYI there isn’t table waiter service, you order at the counter get your drinks then have a seat inside or outside to wait for your food. Wish there was a spot like this near my office.
