The local brewery is part of the fabric of great NW communities, giving them individuality and hometown pride. Bainbridge Island Brewing is the island’s microbrewery.

We set out to make a very comfortable, creative taproom that we like to think of as a public house; a local place where people come and meet, discuss the day’s events, catch a game on TV, and enjoy fresh craft beer and snacks. We have plenty of seating, free Wi-​Fi, local sports on TV, and weekly live music and trivia nights.

We source only the highest quality barley malt, mostly from NW and BC maltsters. Farmers from the Yakima and Willamette valleys provide us with great local hops. We consciously cut down on our food miles as much as possible to minimize our carbon footprint and stick with trusted local ingredients. After brewing, our spent grain goes to a local farmer to feed his livestock.

Bainbridge Island Brewing is a dream come true for father and son duo Chuck and Russell Everett. If you’re a beer lover, what’s more fun than brewing your own beer, experimenting, winning awards, and seeing others enjoy your beer? As Bainbridge Islanders for over 20 years, Chuck and Russell recall looking at a map of the Puget Sound area and seeing small breweries popping up everywhere, but not on the island. «We should really fix that.» After two years of careful planning, permitting, and a lot of late nights, the microbrewery was born 2012.

Like many Brewmasters, Russell started out as a homebrewer with a small system, a deep love of experimenting, and a fascination for all things beer. After working in a brewery, a dozen years of homebrewing successes and failures, judging beer competitions, and winning medals along the way, Russell was ready to become a professional brewer. Russell and Chuck teamed up and the microbrewery and taproom became a reality and awards followed.

Chuck Everett, Co-​Founder of Bainbridge Island Brewing, is a long-​time beer and microbrewery fan and always wanted to open a microbrewery and public house and return to his small-​business roots. His management keeps our wholesale and retail customers in beer and the growing microbrewery moving ahead since its opening in 2012. Love this place!!! good beer, friendly and a good to chill out. if you do not like dogs don’t come the owner owns one and is loose and the other dogs that come with their owners’ to eat my hotdogs! :)

Checked out this great little brewery.
Beer– we tried those of their standard flights. I liked all the beers we were served. We also tried their fresh hop. Too hoppy for me but my boyfriend loved it.
Customer service– staff was very nice. Brewer gave my boyfriend (who’s also a brewer) a tour of their brewery.
Food– tried their soft pretzel. It was great! One of the best I’ve had in a long time. Reasonably priced too.
Merch– I ended up buying a half zip sweat shirt there. Looks like they’ve recently updated their logo and their logo apparel was all really cute.
Overall– great spot to grab a beer and have a snack. I would definitely go back if I were in bainbridge again

I love this brewery! It’s nice and modern inside and the glasses are cute! It has a really nice vibe in here. The bar staff was friendly and we met some cool patrons there.
I will definitely come back here to try some of the other beers. The brewery itself is fairly small for a brewery but I kind of like that!
They don’t really have a food menu besides pretzels and peanuts, but who comes to a brewery for the food anyway?
When I came here, it seemed fairly slow for a Saturday, but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing.

I enjoyed the kolsch and citrus wheat was the best… it was an easy drink. .I wanted a snack and I ordered the honey smoked salmon and crackers.salmon.amazing…great for salads. .etc.

Stopped by while spending the day in Bainbridge. It is a small place that is clearly all about beer. We could smell it being brewed, the beers were excellent as was the bar tender. They were out of their Kolsch, so I guess I will need to return some day.

NO LONGER KID FRIENDLY: We have always greatly enjoyed Bainbridge Brewery. Great beer, fun atmosphere, kid friendly… until tonight. We were sitting upstairs, enjoying the music and brews. The kids were happily playing. No other patrons upstairs were bothered by their laughter and rambunctiousness. Apparently, the bartender WAS bothered as she came up to tell us they were being too loud. We quieted the kids, but still allowed them to play. About 10 minutes later an older woman marched upstairs got in my 3 year old child’s face and stated yelling, clapping and wagging her finger. When I stepped in to ask her to let me handle it… she refused to stop yelling in my son’s face… and it escalated from there. I am horrified at her actions. She claimed to be the owner. BOTTOM LINE, if you have an issue with my child, take it up with me first. I will NEVER go back. If they don’t want kids there, then they should make it a policy.

I am from Portland, aka Craft Brews Mecca of America. I’m surrounded by amazing brews, and I consider myself to be picky. And I LOVED THIS PLACE. Absolutely loved it.
I love the working tap room, beer making is going on in the background, and you can kick back and enjoy. They had more on tap than I was expecting for a brewery on Bainbridge. They have some pre-​selected flights you can order, or you can put together your own (for a crazy reasonable price), which I did.
I tried the blonde, the tripel, the seasonal sour blonde, and the stout. I only had 1 empty growler in my car. Talk about a hard choice! I wasn’t expecting to be blown away by each one of them. Although it was hard to pick, the sour blonde was my favorite. We have quite the sour scene in PDX and this was absolutely incredible! Too bad they didn’t do growler fills of it, but I did get a fill of the blonde to take home and share.
There was one guy behind the bar, he was super friendly and helpful, and did a great job of managing it by himself when it got a little crazy. The smoked gouda and honey salmon paired strangely well with the flights (and subsequent pints…) that my friend and I had.
I ended up spending a small fortune — considering I’d left the husband at home! One of the best breweries I’ve ever been to, and being from PDX, that’s saying something. CANNOT WAIT TO GO BACK!

I’m not a beer connoisseur, but I enjoyed their beer. I got a flight, though I don’t recall what I got. A bunch of light beers cause I’m a lightweight. My husband got a pint of a dark beer and he enjoyed it.
Great space, really big. Looking at their big calendar of events, sounds like they have a lot of fun things going on there during the week. We don’t live nearby, so wouldn’t make it unless we just happened to be on the island.

Great service and excellent beer! You can bring food in or order delivery and there is plenty of space for groups to hang out up in the loft. Highly recommend for people that are visiting Bainbridge. The Double IPA is definitely worth trying when it is in season!

A hidden gem on the island. They make the beer here and serve it in this simple NW tap room. Chill «locals only» vibe, not in a hostile way but a welcoming flip flops, bicycle shorts, tired commuter sort of way. Smiles abound and a video game in the corner. A TV with the big game on (#GoHawks) and chatsville if you want it.
Free WiFi and can buy snacks like peanuts, pretzels or meat sticks if you like. (No kitchen.)
Best beers (in my limited opinion) are their Kolsch or Porter. Good stuff and good guys, making Bainbridge Island proud!

I would say that their beer is below average. I travel a lot and have tried many local beers (I always try to drink locally brewed beer and coffee) and the flight that I had today (pale ale, amber, and both stouts) were nothing to write home about. In my opinion, for local-​to-​here beer, Silver City Brewery and Hales Ales (love their blonde stout!) are much better.
Also they charge $ 2.00 for a pint glass of in-​shell peanuts. Outrageous!

The beer was all decent, no real complaints there. What ruined it was the brewer. We weren’t even sitting at the bar, but for most of the time we were there, the brewer was talking to those at the bar and bragging about his beers.
Nothing is more off-​putting than someone bragging about a mediocre product.

It’s brand-​spanking new and it looks like it walked out of a would-​be brewer’s dream. Everything’s custom, everything’s shiny and clean and fresh off the truck, and everything’s nice and welcoming. It’s as close to perfect as an ambitious little brewery can be. The beers are tasty and the people are super nice. Whether it stays a neighborhood brewery or makes a bigger regional splash, the next few years will tell. But either way it’s a great place to stop for a pint when you’re on the island. And who isn’t on the island from time to time?
You head down Sportsman’s Club Road, and you’re already having fun – so far you’re only reading the street signs. It’s past the church and in the new little retail park on the hill. Virtually every space here is leased, so I imagine there’s a nice hustle and bustle during the week. You walk in to a clean, bright, high-​ceilinged place with a shiny (literally, shiny) bar back and a few highboys scattered around. The brewroom is functionally a part of the taproom area – you can see brite tanks and conical fermenters a few feet past the bar.
There’s a staircase to a loft upstairs. The loft is like a living room – tables and chairs, overstuffed reading chairs with side tables, flat screen, board games. It’s a great place to relax and hang out with either friends, a book, backgammon, Risk, sports on TV, or all of the above. Just one bathroom downstairs and another up.
The beers rotate fairly regularly, and range from american ales (IPAs, stouts, porters, ambers, pales, etc.) to belgian abbey and farmhouse styles, to a variety of lagers. They tend toward a balanced approach in their recipes, with a few big beasts lurking here and there. They grow some of their own hops, and will start experimenting with special ingredients before long.
I can’t wait to watch this place grow and progress now that they’re ready for people to come through the door. Good people and good beer always deserve recognition.
