Jeff Garrison — Mobile Mechanic was literally born with a wrench in his hand!

Both Jeff’s father and grandfather had auto repair shops, so he is just carrying on the family tradition, as he definitely inherited the «knack» for fixing things.

In 1997, the idea came to open his own auto shop — and take it on the road as a mobile mechanic. With an old van, some borrowed tools, and plenty of community encouragement, the Mobile Mechanic Business has thrived ever since.

Jeff runs his business primarily over the telephone and tries to offer same-​day service. Late afternoon and evening calls can generally be scheduled for the next day.

Problems can usually be diagnosed over the phone with price quotes given.

Located in the Clear Lake area, Jeff is happy to travel throughout the Houston area, but extra charges may apply outside of his primary service area.

Jeff Garrison is a life long engine and auto mechanic. He is just good at it.

Back in 1997, Jeff decided to take is skills to the next level by becoming a business owner.

The Houston climate, its good road systems, and the abundance of car owners in the area made Jeff decide to create a traveling auto repair shop instead of storefront.

Through the years Jeff has acquired all the necessary tools and has encountered every possible breakdown situation.

Jeff has become so skilled he regularly diagnoses issues over the phone without ever seeing the car. If you are having a car issue, give Jeff a call to get his opinion before you spend any money fixing your car.

Jeff is great!
I have never had such a positive experience with any mechanic or auto shop. My radiator was cracked and he was quick to schedule me the day after I called. He showed up early and was done quickly. His estimate and price were fair for parts & labor; not to mention, this is the first time I didn’t feel like I was being cheated or sold something unnecessary!
As a woman, I would recommend him to all my female friends. He respected my observations, opinions and didn’t assume I had no clue what I was talking about because I was a woman. (That was a first!) He was very respectful and friendly!
If you are looking for a great mechanic who is reliable, and fair don’t look any further!

Fast, Friendly, Knowledgable service. Jeff was able to diagnose our 2001 ford expedition within minutes. Our fuel pump stopped working, he anticipated the fuel pump being the issue from what we told him and got one on the way to service us. Furthermore he was able to give us a price over the phone minutes after talking. Jeff covered everything with great timing and reasonable pricing to get us up and running again. Thank goodness he’s in the area!

I was waiting on a part to come in for my mower & borrowed the neighbors mower (Large riding zero-​turn mower) & very stupidly grabbed the wrong gas can out of their garage (unmarked, should have done a smell test) & assumed it was gas & instead it was diesel. This happened on a Friday night & I was leaving town at 6am on Saturday for a week. So now I have my 3 acre yard that needs to be mowed badly, the neighbors mower which is smoking like crazy & the entire system needs to be cleaned out, plus they need it back in a timely fashion so they can mow their 8+ acre yard.
I had to find a way to get this thing going but I had no time as I was leaving town the next morning, a quick google search led me to Jeff. I gave Jeff a call, he actually walked me through the steps to clean the system out myself, but once I explained to him I did not have the time & was leaving town, he told me he would find a way to come out.
Again, this was on a late Friday night. He called me on Saturday & let me know that he would have time first thing Monday morning to get out to our house. I made sure he had access to the mower while I was gone. Since I was out of town he let me know when he was on his way, when he got there, & then called me shortly after to let me know he had cleaned it out & just had to make a stop down the street to buy some oil & a new spark plug & would be back to get it going. Less than an hour later he called me to tell me he had it running as good as new again & was able to pay over the phone a very reasonable rate.
From start to finish Jeff was very professional & a very good communicator throughout it all. I would highly recommend him.

Jeff has worked on both my Suburban and Honda Odyssey. His priced beat any dealership and private auto shop. He is fast, friendly and always cleans up any mess.
In the past three years I’d say he has saved me more than $ 1500 and a tremendous about of pain and time. I would recommend Jeff to anyone.

I needed my brakes replaced urgently and contacted Jeff after reading the reviews here on Unilocal and on his website. I had tried a few of the chain stores and couldn’t get a straight answer on price or how much time it would take.
Jeff agreed to come to my workplace in Pearland and advised me on the parts to get to speed along the repair. He kept me informed about when he would arrive and completed the work in under 1 hour and for the price quoted on the phone.
Jeff was easy to work with and very professional. I haven’t had any problems and my brakes work great. So much better than waiting hours at a mechanic and then having them try to sell you unneeded extra work.

I was en route to Louisiana when my truck’s front wheel bearing went out suddenly. I did some research online and found Jeff. He made every effort to get the job done on the timeline I needed it done by. And he took credit card over the phone. I never actually got to meet him since we only spoke on the phone and a family member facilitated the repair with Jeff for me so I could continue my trip to La. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the Houston area in need of a fast repair with great results.

Jeff came by my house about 20 minutes after my wife called.
He fixed the problem and told my wife that there was a part missing on the battery that I had bought and installed. He told her that the auto parts store should have the part, which they didn’t give me when I bought the battery.
Jeff came back the next day to install the right part because he felt like he needed to fully complete the job.
What a guy!

I called Jeff and he came in about 20 minutes. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it — albeit temporarily, since he did not have the correct part. He returned the following morning to fix it permanently. This guy knows what he is doing. His price is very reasonable as well. I highly recommend Jeff!
