Plessers Appliances

A great store to deal with. Barry gets us the best deals and Plesser’s offers the best warrantees. Delivery is within their time frame and the usually heavy appliances are carefully placed in my home. Once I know a model # and get prices from other retailers I call Plessers and get the best price.

I would give this no stars if I could. Absolutely the worst sales/​customer service experience. I required delivery 1 week from order and needed smaller scale appliances than my local company stocks. Spoke and emailed with my sales rep (who I am not allowed to name) repeatedly reiterating my timeframe and was told that the shipment would go out on Monday (order placed on Friday) and should arrive by Thursday, Friday at the latest. She found in-​stock appliances to make this happen and I adjusted my specs to match what I could get in time. She even referred to herself as «Awesome (first name of person I’m not allowed to name)» because she was able to make this happen.
Nothing arrived Thursday, followed up on Friday and was told that my delivery was on the truck and scheduled to arrive late next week (1 week after promised delivery time). Spoke with customer service who transferred me to my rep, who told me that she would never have promised that and that 2 – 3 weeks is the minimum. I pulled up all of my emails that we discussed my delivery needs of 7 calendar days or less and she still told me that she never said any of that. Not so awesome after all.
So many things that could have been said to handle the situation — telling me that I was wrong when I have everything in writing is not one of them.
I will not not be ordering from Plessers ever again and will let my colleagues in the design/​build industry know about this.

We ordered a Uline Beverage Center for the remodel of our kitchen. Customer service was very easy to deal with over the phone, and their service rep was great. The delivery was arrived according to schedule and the product was exactly what we were looking for. I wish we had ordered all of our other appliances through them.
They even gave us an extra 10 year warranty and Gold Premium Delivery for free.
Would definitely order from them again.

We purchased $ 6,765 of high-​end kitchen appliances from Plessers Appliance. The microwave came broken new in the box and the trash compactor came damaged new in the box too. I understand «stuff» happens, but now almost 2 months later… the microwave has been looked at by a repair person but has not been fixed, and the trash compactor has not been looked and nothing is happening regarding resolving the issue! Communication with (Maria Aparicio) the person in charge of resolving these issues is also poor. This is simply my experience with buying from Plessers! If you chose to buy from them you better hope it works out of the box and is not damaged because their follow-​up and repair service is horrible. Ooh, and pay by American Express so you have recourse if it happens to you. Good luck.

It baffles me when a business has so many hot and a chunk of not so hot reviews — but I never saw any of the issues that other people have complained about. Sometimes I think that people who complain about «surprises» did not have a good understanding of the process. Just a supposition, on my part. Anyway, the price was terrific. The ordering process was on-​line and quickly followed up with a live telephone call. I am out of state — and the shipping was never an issue. And the 3^rd party delivery contractor was awesome. I honestly can not find anything to complain about. If I do, down the line, I know I can and will check in and update Unilocal,but I am betting that will not happen. My particular salesperson was Stephen Rehn on ext 2218. He’s easy to work with and, again, I would certainly buy here again.

I recently helped my mother order an appliance from Plessers ! They’re prices are amazing and the customer service that the rep. Jennifer O’brien gave us was helpful! She was very patient with myself and my mother while I had to translate all the info and she also was extremely kind in providing all the details regarding shipping and delivery options! I highly recommend Plessers for appliance needs ! They beat the prices I searched for at our local Best Buy, Sears and Home Depot. Needless to say my mother was super pleased and was very grateful as all she needed was a little patience and her experiences at the stores mentioned were far from that ! Thank you Plessers!!!

Ordered barbeque grill by phone. It was delivered dented and I would not accept it. Refused delivery. Got it from somewhere else.

Plessers’s just delivered and helped install $ 12,000 worth of KitchenAid appliances that would have cost $ 5,000 more locally in SouthWest Florida.
From the Sales Rep to the Delivery Guys, they were very professional and delivered beyond expectations.
They earned a 5-​star rating from us!

I can’t think of a reason to recommend
Shipping time: 61 days from order to arrival.
Promised shipping time: 2 – 4 weeks.
Plessers as in internet-​based sales company. I bought a fridge from them in November. The order indicated it would be shipped within 2 weeks and delivered within 4 weeks. They never indicated the item was actually on backorder during the purchase experience.
Customer Service:
Calls 2, 4 and 6 weeks out, their customer service told me each time that they had experienced a delay from their manufacturer and expected it to arrive at their warehouse in 2 weeks. On the 6^th week out call I asked to cancel the never to arrive order. The next day I received the following email from them, «We received your refrigerator in sooner than expected and we held off canceling the order. » Exhaustion with the process led me to let them go ahead and reinstate the order and the fact that it was still the best price for the specific fridge I wanted. This time the fridge almost arrived within the new promised delivery date 8 business days (promised 5 – 7).
Delivery:
via their standard delivery service AM Home Delivery. I got a call from them for a next day, weekday 11−3pm delivery window. Mercifully I work close to my home and they were willing to call when ready to deliver and my work was willing to give me flexible lunch hours. They did call and that part actually worked out ok.
Gold Delivery:
When I originally bought it I added the $ 150 Gold Delivery service which sounded like they’d set it up for you. My $ 150 actually only got me them rolling it the roughly 30 feet from the curb to my kitchen which is at ground level and I could have easily done myself. I thought they’d take the old fridge away for that, but apparenly that was even more expensive and I misread that part. Oh they took it out of the box, too.
After the fact:
I bought my fridge on their «sale of the year» day and looking now over two months later I find that the price I paid is the same price I would get at my local Sears and another local store. The local store also offers to take away the debris and has a small $ 25 old fridge disposal fee. The only upside is that I bought out of state and missed the tax on it, thus «saving» me $ 130. Since the old fridge still worked, I was able to get someone to take it for free on Craigslist, but what a hassle.

My husband found Plessers online. We live in California and they offered the best deals, no tax and free shipping, and good warranty packages for the items.
We ordered a range, fridge, dishwasher and vent. Today is 11÷7÷14 and we finally received everything after ordering 9÷18÷14. So yes, there was a huge delay. We ran into many issues during shipping too, it really wasn’t Plessers fault, it was really the shipping companies fault, e.g. range had a dent on the oven door, fridge got put on a wrong trailer and that caused more of a delay, And then my vent was not available so then that was delayed too. My Plessers contacts really tried there best to help re-​locate my fridge and send me new parts. I was in constant contact with them everyday. But even when I got sent a new part, the manufacturer then created an incorrect label and sent me someone else’s item instead. And as of now, I am still waiting for a new oven door which Plessers is still helping me with getting.
All and all, it will be a delay and the shipping company they use, AM HOME DELIVERY, was definitely not in a rush. They will give you a hard time about taking stuff up to your house too!
My appliances look good so far, except for my dented oven door which I am still waiting for. I hope they all work well.
I am sure it will l be a better experience if you live close to them.

I am giving them 1 star for their TERRIBLE customer service and delivery. I would gladly pay more for my appliances to be treated respectfully and polietly. The delivery drivers left my items curbside and after I sent a polite email to Plessers explaining that my receipt indicated porch delivery, they sent the drivers back out without letting me know. I was in the backyard when they arrived amd heard them call me a b! tch and speak badly about me. Being home alone and a woman, I didn’t feel comfortable answering the door with such hostility coming from 2 large men jn a Budget rental truck. I let Plessers know and they basically shrugged it of as my fault since because they sent the (angry and hostile) drivers back for proper delivery.
Stay away from them — don’t get suckered in by the cheap prices. No worth it!

Originally I was pleased to find Plessers during an online search. When I called, the salesman Gene, was very laid back. Not pushy. And they have a great selection. However they do not keep things stocked. When I placed the order Gene told me 3 – 5 days for delivery from when I called to schedule the delivery, which reassured me as I did not know yet when my kitchen contractor would be ready to receive the appliances for my renovation. Apparently the 3 – 5 days was incorrect. When I called to arrange delivery their customer service department (Bryan) told me it is normally 5 – 6 weeks. They hustled to get me 2 of the 4 appliances I ordered (2 – 3 weeks later), but I am still waiting on the remaining 2 (now it’s about 10 weeks later). My kitchen renovation is completely stalled waiting on the appliances. They claim one of their suppliers has my item on backorder. They never informed me of it being on backorder till I complained about the lack of delivery. Also, they take a deposit from you the day you order. I thought the deposit would cause them to get the appliance from their supplier. But apparently they wait till you call for delivery, and THEN they check with their supplier. So I am not sure what the deposit is for. I think if you are only ordering one appliance to upgrade or replace an appliance, then you will be fine. But if you are doing a full kitchen install where timelines are critical, then I suggest you find a local store that will care about your satisfaction and communicate better with you.

I did very well with a single appliance purchase from PLESSERS (an electrolux wine captain). The price was very good and delivery went smoothly with email updates leading up to delivery date. Before ordering online, they answered some product questions for me over the telephone. No funny business with the item once received (often a concern with any internet vendor when prices are so low). They followed up on telephone pitching an extended warranty which was not a hassle for me (decided to get a whole house policy from a third party instead). I recommend them.

I made an applicance purchase with plessers couple of months ago, and that was the worst shopping experience I’ve ever had. First of all, they told me my appliance would arrive in 2 – 3 weeks, but it took 6 weeks for me to receive the complete order. Secondly, when I was trying to return an unopened package in two weeks after I received the complete order, the customer service gave me a very hard time. When Jessica the customer service manager eventually agreed that I can return, I can never get a hold of her.
I would rather go buy the same appliance in stores. Never never go to plessers!

I have had two bad experiences with plessers. When will I learn? I went to them because they are around the corner from my home on mAin street and I wanted to support «the little guy /​the local guy» So very sorry I tried to do the right thing. Pricing ok and the service which was what I banked on was terrible. A new washing machine tried to do first load didn’t work so called them and the said it had to go through whirlpool 800 #. No support no service NO MORE BUSINESS! Consider yourself warned!!!

They beat the best price we could find locally for a new fridge by over $ 250, which made it ok when we had to wait 2.5 weeks for it to arrive. It was not the 2.5 week wait which was annoying, it was the lack of communication during the first week after purchase which was bothersome. When you spend over a grand on something on the internet it would be nice to have a little more customer contact.

I couldn’t believe that a store in Long Island, NY could deliver and save me more money than local stores.
Anyone who I spoke with, including the owner, assured me that my appliances would be delivered when promised. Every member of the Plesser’s team was knowledgable, professional, and personable. They pointed out appliances which fit my needs and my budget. I never felt rushed or pushed into making a decision that would be in my kitchen for years to come.
My only hesitation in doing business outside of my local area was the time constraints I had. I needed this shipped ASAP. I asked for delivery to my door in 10 days. When I received a phone call that my order would be here on day 9, I was thrilled.
In addition to the great customer service and early delivery, I saved over a thousand dollars on a package of appliances.

This company has extremely bad business practices. Do not order from them.
I placed an order for a $ 3,000 stove. Like the other reviewer, we were sold the extra white glove delivery fee. We wanted the stove, but changed our minds on the special service and asked them to cancel it. Instead of refunding the fee, they decided to charge us again for the full price of the stove. It was declined automatically by the credit card company, thank goodness.
Anyways, we were told the order would arrive within 2 weeks. 6 weeks later, nothing! I called to ask where the order was and they said it was on backorder and didn’t know when it would come. So with no delivery date in sight, I asked them to cancel the order. Salesperson told me no problem and told me to check the credit card statement in a few days. A week later, I get a shipment confirmation. Of course, I already ordered a new stove from another company. When I called plessers, they said if I refused the shipment, I would get charged 25% restocking fee. I asked if there’s anything that could be done now and she told me to take it up with the credit card company.
Extremely fraudulent company. Buyer beware! Check out Better Business Bureau; they have numerous complaints.

I’m writing after a TERRIBLE customer experience with this company. I ordered a high end gas-​range from them on March 14^th and was told that I would receive the GOLD delivery service (a $ 90 value) for free with my purchase. On March 24^th I received an email saying my range arrived but it was damaged and would have to be re-​ordered.
On April 4^th I called them to inquire about the status of my redeliver. The person I spoke with didn’t know and said they would call me back. I also left 2 messages with my sales associate. I didn’t hear back from anyone. I called 3 more times before I was able to get an answer that my range would not be delivered until the end of April since it was on back order.
Finally, I get an email that my range arrived on Tuesday, April 26^th and could be delivered on Thursday. On Wednesday I called to get a delivery time frame but was told it was not available and I would hear from the driver that night at 6−7pm. I never received a call. I didn’t get my delivery window until 9am on the DATE OF DELIVERY, I was already at work and nearly canceled the delivery but luckily my girlfriend was able to get home.
After the delivery truck arrives I received a call from Plessers saying that wanted another $ 400 dollars to deliver the appliance into my apt (3 flight walkup). I spoke with the person who offered me the Gold service with my appliance and said that Gold Delivery covered 5 stairs and would not cover my apartment. I told her that Home Depot delivered into my unit for no charge. I asked to speak to managers and was told they would split the difference with me and I ended up paying $ 200 dollars to avoid having them leave it on my curb in the rain.
Long story short. Do not use this company unless you enjoy tearing your hair out.

You get what you pay for. Keep your fingers crossed if you buy from Plessers.
Great prices, but poor customer service. I purchased an entire kitchen suite based on the low prices. The refrigerator was delivered in non working order. The replacement took over 3 weeks to arrive and the manufacturer stated that the delay was due to my purchase over the internet. They said if I purchased from a store I would have received the replacement imediately from the store’s stock.
Plessers bugged me to buy extended warranties at a cost of $ 850. Based on my experience with the refrigerator I purchased the warranties and my credit card was instantly charged. After waiting for two months with no receipt and no warranties from Plessers I contacted them and was told that I takes them several months to fill out the paper work. I left a voicemail with my salesman that I was concerned and they cancelled the order for the warranties without a call back.
