Mcfall Tire and Auto Repair

Class 5 Star service. Walked in with a flat tire in the van. They had never seen me before. Found them on Unilocal.Van was in the shop a minute later, & 30 minutes later I was on the road! NO charge for flat tires (left a tip for the tech)!
Counter was busy all the time w/​clearly repeat customers. A positive first impression!

We’ve been going here for 18 years. No problems, always satisfied.

When you’ve been driving the same vehicle since high school, things are bound to go wrong. Husband and I moved here from Oklahoma in July during peak-​heat season, and no doubt my Jeep’s battery was about to shit itself. This place has always been quick with responding to me and my vehicle’s issues as well as having relatively reasonable prices.
Props to Doug who always remembers my name — not sure how many distressed females walk in without knowing a lick of car lingo (guilty as charged), but they’ve always been incredibly helpful and considerate of their customers.

I was referred to McFallTire’s by another shop. I ended up having bubbles in my tires.(if that makes sense to you) So it was so bad that my steering wheel was shacking. I had my 3 kids with me and I needed to drive home to Vegas. They didn’t even have my tires on hand, but Marcus made some phone calls and with in a hour he had the tires and he was sending me on my way. I just wanted to say thank you so much for the help and dealing with my 3 loud kids. LOL.

This is an incredible place with elite customer service and awesome prices. I had to replace the heater core in my truck. I had originally taken it to Goodyear auto and they quoted me $ 1,229.00 with 9.3 hours of labor. McFall quoted me $ 773 with 6 hours of labor. I got my truck back the next day as opposed to the 3 days Goodyear was going to take. The guys at McFall were incredibly nice and explained everything in a way I understood. They even let me know I had a cost effective alternative to bypass the heater core If I wasn’t able to afford the replacement immediately. I am now a customer for life, this place is amazing!
Ask for Marcus or Lawerence… They are both fantastic!

the worst ever lied about changing parts that never were changed .the techs are low lever rejects stay as far as you can from this shop!

I’m new to Phoenix AZ and was really looking for a good reliable place to get work done on my car. I was referred to McFall and also the reviews were great. So after visiting and seeing if they can do some suspension work they had told me busy this weekend (totally understandable) and to setup an appointment for next weekend.
Called Friday to see about making an appointment and was advised just to show up in the morning on Saturday. I thought to myself, why tell me to make an appointment if they just told me not to…
So I disregarded that thought woke up as early as possible arrived at the shop 9am. Handed the keys and was told 4 hours. Keep in mind I drove from the east edge of Phoenix (Scottsdale) to Avondale, so I had to stay on that side.
Around the 4 hour mark I get a call and voicemail to call them back. Unfortunately at the time I was preoccupied and could not answer. After an hour I call back to hear nothing has been done. This kind of made me upset. I’m not one to get very angry at things like this but why not have called 2 or even 3 hours later if it wasn’t going to be done?
They then proceeded to ask if I can leave the car overnight. How was I supposed to get home? Spend money on a cab for 26+ miles?
Once I got there to pick up my vehicle, there was just apologies. There should’ve been something offered for the inconvenience (my .02 cents), but I literally had to say something for them to even offer some sort of gesture.
I’m sorry to say, won’t be returning… Don’t get me wrong, the other reviews of them being nice and polite are somewhat true but there’s a disconnect somewhere…

Don’t know what happened to my other review but it is worth giving another:
I actually like taking my cars here. It is the only place my boyfriend goes. I like that they keep record for us and aren’t pushy about unnecessary repairs.

I am always on high-​alert when I walk into an auto shop. If I even feel like I am going to get ripped off, or if the staff seems shady, I will air my opinion right out loud for the other patrons to hear. I’m not afraid to work on my own car, but sometimes I am hard pressed for time, and I am very capable of doing the work myself.
This was my 3^rd time to McFall Tire & Auto, which in itself screams volumes about their shop.
I originally brought my Honda (now sold) in for A/​C work, they found a leak and showed me exactly where the leak was. I insisted on fixing it myself. They gave me a great deal on the minimal work they had done (exactly as I asked of them), and let me be on my way without pressuring, or trying to up-​sell me at all. They were very respectful.
Next, I brought in my MINI Cooper S for an oil change. Everywhere else wanted to charge the «luxury vehicle» price (BMW) for an oil change, but not McFall. They honored a competitor coupon, and gave me the «standard vehicle» with coupon price for an oil change. (I brought in my own Mobil 1 oil & filter). Again, they were fantastic, and didn’t try to up-​sell me, and didn’t charge me for the oil-​disposal fee.
This time, my wife had been concerned that her brakes on her Ford Escape were getting a little soft. We called ahead for an appointment to get the brakes looked at (free of charge). Mike told me they would inspect the brake system, and if anything were wrong, they would quote it out for us & let us know what needed to be fixed.
–Here was the ultimate test…–
Mike called me back a couple hours later (they were busy when we dropped the vehicle off). I was expecting to hear a laundry list of work that needed to be done… Mike told me that the brake system was going strong, and that the rear calipers could use a little bit of adjusting if we wanted to, but didn’t pressure us into doing so.
If there was a time for an auto-​repair shop to try to gouge somebody, this would have been the perfect time to try, but they didn’t charge me a dime.
I absolutely recommend McFall Tire and Auto Repair for any of your vehicle repairs.

These guys are very courteous and professional. I went to jiffy lube one time and they did a «tire rotation» and checked it as okay. Later when I was working on my car, I saw that my treads on my front tires were nearly gone, and the wires were visible. These tires were about to pop. I went to this location of McFallTire and they took very good care of my car, even filled my tires with air during an oil change. They are pretty quick too, for the high quality of service they give. I would rather wait a little longer and have my car checked up the right way, than risk something terrible happening.
I’ve never gone anywhere else for oil changes or tires or any kind of vehicle check up, and they even gave me a discount for being a loyal customer.
I highly recommend this location.

I decided after reading all the reviews I would give this place a try. I had two vehicles a dodge truck and a new Nissan that needed service and tires checked as well as a full tune up. Well I have to say I will never go anywhere else now, they called before they performed any work, they were very reasonable, not super cheap, but well worth the few bucks extra!!! Family owned and great for our community! Thank you guys!

I like this place. My boyfriend refuses to take our cars anywhere else. my only complaint is when they changed my head light they did something wrong and now it blinks really fast on one side, which is really annoying and kind of takes away from how well kept the car is.

Not having any personal references for a decent place to get an oil change, I Unilocaled to see what I could find. With an overall 4.5 rating, I figured I’d give McFalls a go & scheduled a same-​day appointment. My mom is on ‘snowbird’ status and was needing her oil changed before she headed out of town. I’d made the appt for 4pm; they were friendly and the store was clean ~ two pluses right off the bat.
Took 28 minutes to get my mom’s Jeep into a bay which was a bit disappointing, but not a deal-​breaker. They finished shortly thereafter & while they made me aware of things that should be done (older rigs need maintenance), they didn’t try to upsell or grandstand. Price was very reasonable.

Came here today because I had a nail in my front tire. They were super busy but got my tire fixed in a little over an hour. To my surprise they don’t charge for tire repairs! Staff were all extremely well mannered. Will be new auto shop of choice.

They were able to get us in right away on a sunday an hour before closing. We stopped in to switch out all the rims, the new rims didnt fit unfortunately and then they put back the old rims and all done quick and at a great price!:) thats great compared to Goodyear that was going to charge $ 30 to put on and $ 30 to take off… definitely recommend this place! Good people! Thank you guys!:)

Nobody gave them permission to touch and change my settings in my car. My Windows didn’t need to be down, doors didn’t need to be open to change my oil. My brand new car now smells like the service station. No respect for property what do ever.

I’m so glad my friends told me to go here! Wow the customer service Mike is AWESOME!!! I had the A/​C installed wrong from another shop and I took it to them they fixed it right up! The A/​C works great!
They next day to took them my other truck again Mike took care of everything he called to keep me informed. I know that my family now has a trusted shop to go to that is very professional. I like that it is family owned too! Thank you McFall’s you help take a lot of stress away!!!

Not even 24 hours after I had written a review, I received a call from the manager, Mike. He had ordered me a replacement center cap as a courtesy to replace the missing one and it was ready the same day. I was very pleased with the response that I had gotten and I’m glad that he went out of his way to make things right. No business is perfect and it’s nice to know that there are places out there that will work with you and find a solution to the problem. Thank you McFall Tire!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE x2!!!
Called up this auto shop to get a check engine light Diagnosed. Upon talking to Rockie, he told me they would do it for free but if it took longer than an hour he would have to charge me the Diagnostics fee, which is absolutely understandable, but when they found the problem if I chose to get the work done there they would waive that fee. Sounded reasonable so I scheduled an appointment.
Upon a few days later when getting there for my appointment, I was greeted at the counter by Doug. Told him what I was there for and gave him the keys to my car. Now mind you I like to pay attention to people while they work on my car, and man I tell you its a good thing I did.
When they took my car into the bays, I noticed the mechanic taking the tires off, I called Doug over and asked what he was doing. He stated just rotating the tires, it was «included» and I figured whats the harm might as well let him. A few minutes later went back to check on my car only to find the mechanic draining the oil. (Mind you I NEVER once asked for an oil change, as a matter of fact the previous week I had just changed the oil myself and use Mobil 1 Synthetic, which is not cheap). Again I call Doug over and ask him what the heck is going on, he tells me «Your here for an oil change right?’ I tell him no and explain to him what I was there for, at this point what they should have already known, so Doug runs outside to stop the mechanic, only to find that all the oil was drained out. Luckily he replaced the drained oil with Mobil 1 at no charge.
So after all of that I sit there for another 30 minutes while no one at all is working at my car at this point (its just sitting there) to have Doug come out and tell me that with that check engine light he «Google’d» it and it could be a number of things. GOOGLE’D!!! are you kidding me!!! If I wanted something Google’d I could have done that myself. He then tells me he would have to charge me that Diag fee. (Mind you that I am only supposed to be charged a Diag fee if it takes more than one hour per Rockie who I previously spoke with, but at this point no one has worked on the issue of my car at ALL!!!)
Then to top it all off, Doug tells me that they dont have time to work on my car today and to come back tomorrow. WHAT WAS THE POINT OF SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT!!! Then while driving off they left a mess in my car which included the paper floor mats as well as their work order for me and even the plastic red bordered sheet holder that they use!
Needless to say I let some time pass and do some research myself on the issue and find that all I may need is a simple computer process run on my car which literally takes 2 – 3 min in full (Crankshaft Variation Learn). So I call these guys back up and at first no one knows what the heck I’m talking about, even though they seem to love Google which is exactly where I found this procedure. I ask the Tech on the phone how much would you charge to do this, he asks me what kind of car it is and then says just come on over we will do it no charge. So I drive over there and talk to the people at the desk and they again have no idea what I’m talking about, so yet again they rely on there magical computer to tell them. After waiting, the person who I spoke with that told me it was going to be at no charge on the phone comes out and tells me, «were going to have to charge you labor». I stated well someone I just talked to said it was free of charge, he then said «yeah that was me but I just thought you wanted your check engine light codes cleared». NOT ONCE DID I MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS NOR CLEARING CODES WHEN I TALK TO THIS MAN RIGHT BEFORE GOING OVER THE SECOND TIME. I told him to forget it and then left, found Litchfield Auto Repair who was more than happy to do it for me.
This shop is poorly run, no one talk to each other, they dont know what they are doing, they tell you one thing than do another, and seems like they will charge you for anything after they have you in the door. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS SHOP!!!
