Horrible Service! Horrible management! The only reason I gave this location 1 star is because I had to in order to write this review.
I purchased my vehicle from this location, which included a warranty.
I asked multiple times for them to fix my squeaky breaks because it was covered under my warranty. I was told over and over by different workers that it was NORMAL for breaks to squeak, my breaks were never repaired. The material on the inside of my doors were/​are peeling, covered by my warranty at the time. They would not replace them because it was minimal. I printed a coupon from THEIR website for an oil change. They knew I had the coupon, after finishing the oil change they would NOT honor the coupon, charging me over $ 50. 5 gal. Change for $ 53, really?!? I tried to contact the manager, finally after 1 week of calling he got back to me (after his assistant asked me if I was selling something,) and it was like I was speaking with a 4 year old. I told him I was overcharged and he literally had no idea what I was talking about. I mean, how many ways can you explain to someone about being overcharged? He said he would call me back after he checks on the issue. Two months later, I am still waiting for that phone call.

Took less time than originally quoted; impressive! Also like the personalized service dealing with one agent! Approached right away when I pulled up and attended to promptly! I appreciated the professionalism AND smiles! Both go a LONG in gaining returning customers!

Was working with Chris Barney on a deal via email and came to see the car and was told it was sold. Spent all the time to work with them and was basically walked out the door. Horrible place to deal with!!! I would give zero stars if I could

The the worst experience we ever had in buying a car even worse than Camelback Kia and I thought they were bad. The salesman was very pushy demanding tried to show us everything but what we are asking for he didn’t care what we are looking for he wanted to make that sale and unfortunately we got stuck with him and I would never recommend Gateway Chevrolet again to anybody. They try to get us into a different deal because of his mistakes and then they tried to undo his screw up They tried to sell us a pickup truck $ 43,000 pickup truck that my wife and myself could not get into because of our back problems. But they still wanted to make a sale anyways with the vehicle we ended up with my wife bad back and the vehicle is to lower to get in out with hurting hurting her back anymore.
The new deal would be trade in the vehicle we got stuck with plus $ 2,000 more down payment and a payment that goes from $ 500 a month to $ 800 to $ 900.00 a month would not recommend them to anyone for a vehicle unless you can think faster than the sales person and I’m talking particularly about Scott the salesman that we had. Never saw the owner Joe Gambino jr. As it says in their report he’s there everyday overlooking the total operation to make sure everybody is dealt with fairly We feel we didn’t get a good deal. I’m not afraid to sign my name either Bob & Ethel Johnson (Senior Citizens)

Based on the reviews I have read on Gateway Chevrolet, I can only say these people don’t like car dealerships. We had a great sales person, Adair. We talked with a very nice Sales Manager, Jason and the finance manager, Erik was outstanding. Everyone was very polite, professional and no pressure. Sure we did the back and forth negotiating but if you don’t expect that when buying a car, I’m not sure you have a realistic expectation. They ultimately gave us exactly what we asked for and we drove home in a beautiful new 2015 Chevy Trax. It was one of the most painless car buying experiences I’ve ever had. I have read tons of reviews on this site stating how absolutely terrible this company is and I beg to differ! My salesperson yesterday was Bryce and he was absolutely AMAZING! I am a first time buyer not to mention college student with low income but I really needed a car for school! I booked an appointment with Bryce and when I got to the dealership we were greeted as soon as we came in the door and were offered water to drink by several different people. (It’s HOT in Arizona! Of course we took it!) Bryce met with us and ended up selling me a 2011 Chevy Aveo for only $ 8800! I definitely recommend going to Gateway and make sure Bryce is your salesperson!

Went to have an oil change to save money because I got a coupon and was so sorry I went! My watch was stolen from inside my car and this was the day before Thanksgiving. Got ahold of a salesperson who was the only left there, everyone had gone home. Talked to George the service manager and he started yelling at me as to why I didn’t call the same day it happened and I told him I did. Told him what the watch cost and that I expected the watch or to be compensated. He said he would get with a Manager and call me back. But I had to be the one on top of things and calling him back!!! He yelled at me again saying he would call me, but I went on Facebook on their site and posted that I had been waiting for my check to cover my stolen watch. Someone saw my post and I got a call from George ordering me to take the post down. I said I would as soon as I got the check owed to me.
After all this I will not go back as long as George is working there and until they learn to treat people. They put George in charge and that was a big mistake. I may be only ONE customer but hope someone reads this.

I have purchased several cars over the years and I must say Bryce is amazing ! He really listened to me and didn’t try to sell me something he knew I couldn’t afford. We went to look at a new car and ended up leaving with a certified pre owned 2012 Captiva ! It has many options and was a payment I could afford with a great warranty! My credit wasn’t the greatest and I was a little concerned about financing bury actually called me back the next day with a payment power than what they had actually said it was going to be ! They also paid WAY more on my broken old clunker just to make the deal! THANK YOU BRYCE!

Call the part department and Don answer the call I ask for a price on a part he ask me for my vin number I did not know I need the vin number he put the phone down starts talking shit this mother fucker don’t have the fucking vin and wants a fucking quote gets back on the phone with attitude this guy should be fire it obvious he hates his job and has poor customer service

I must say Jesse is the person to see if you want to buy a car from this dealership! Very very awesome salesman. No pressure at all. Took his time with us! He was able to work with my family and I. He made my first experience with buying a car feel easy!

I will never I repeat never be back to this place. They do not know how to run this company. I worked for a luxury dealership for over a year back in Chicago and this place doesn’t even come close to how they treat their customers. Every single time I have to call and schedule they’re always booked and I’m surprised because of such horrible ratings on here that they’re that busy. In Chicago I called and they would make accommodations for me to come in that same day! I never had an issue with the Chicago Chevy dealership. Speaking to these workers you can truly tell these workers don’t want to be here. They hate theirs jobs, so why keep working and making customers miserable?
I have worked with several workers one I remember by the name of John. I swear these people don’t smile don’t laugh they don’t do anything. They’re not friendly. They seriously don’t give a crap about you. Each and every time I’ve come in I told them specifically to WASH MY CAR! How many times do I have to tell them? When you’re done servicing my car wash my damn car. You just run it through the machine or whatever! Every time I come out after waiting over an hour my car isn’t washed and I have to walk back every flipping time to remind them again and then have to wait another 15min!!! The seating area is filthy and the workers are stuck up as hell. I have no idea how this place is still running. They need to find someone else to run this place because clearly upper management isn’t doing a damn about it.
You just lost a customer I am going to drive all the way to the camelback road location, which is 45 min from my house. I called that place and they had no problem getting me in on a Saturday when I’m free. They even offer a shuttle, which I can imagine each dealership has to have one, but gateway never mentioned a single thing about that. The gentleman was sweet with me and was able to work with me. Thank god I never have to step my foot into your location again. Consumers trust me go elsewhere. I’m a Chicago girl and were picky individuals and want things to be perfect and this place is filth and a disgust to businesses.

I was rather disappointed with the sales staff here. My wife was looking for a new car, I went along as I used to sell cars so we wanted to make sure she wasn’t getting the short end of the stick so to speak. Well everyone of the sales staff insisted on talking primarily to me, and totally ignored my wife’s likes and dislikes. They continued to play sales games until we decided to leave after about 2 hours. The following day we went to another chevy dealership, the one we usually go to, and walked out 2 hours later with a car my wife liked at the payment she wanted. I don’t think we will be back.

The process of purchasing was easy and worry free. Alfonso was quick to help and answer any questions I had about purchasing my first car. He was there right when I stepped out of my dad’s truck. A lot of people don’t like that, but I was actually there to purchase a car, not just browse and waste time. The only problem I had when it was time to service my car. It took a while for me to schedule it because hardly anyone answered the phone. I would always get transferred and no answer. Voicemails never got answered. I had to call repeatedly. When I did get it serviced, it was done within 30 minutes.

Very poor service ! I had an appointment and still here after 2 hours ! Really come on now it doesn’t take that long !

We just moved to Goodyear and due to the type of oil my car uses, we have to take it to a dealer for the change. Pulled in and was not acknowledged for a couple of mins. Several guys were walking around but no one approached my car for a bit. When they did, they called the guy who my husband has spoken to. He said they’d take the car and be done in under 2 hours.
Waited in the waiting area. Note about that area. The upholstered chairs were filthy. Seriously needed to be cleaned.
Car was done in just over an hour. Not bad. It all went downhill when I went to pay. Previously, at our old dealer in CA, we’d pay about $ 40 for the change and tire rotation. So imagine my surprise when they charged me $ 61! I asked them if there were any deals from their website that I could use. They said no because of the type of oil. I said I’d be willing to pay the difference on the oil and they would not work with me at all. They were not willing to work with me at all.
When I went into my car, the sticker said it would need its next oil change in 3k miles. They didn’t even bother to change it when I know my oil needs to be changed every 5−7k miles. What a joke.
I’ll never bring my vehicle here again.

Still haven’t received a return call from the service supervisor from the voice mail I left last week… with last week’s experience, I don’t expect to, but just for those who are considering this place; DON’T!

The service department is horrible from the top down. I took my car there to have them repair a recall issue, instead I left with a broken windshield. DONT EVER TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!

I tried to get a vehicle here a couple days ago, I walked in and left almost four hours later without looking at a single car. One man seemed really genuine but my actual sales person needs more training in how she speaks with customers. I was basically told that I could get the car she wanted me to or none at all. Needless to say, I thanked her for her time and continued on my way. I gave them my preferences only to have them completely ignored. I only gave them a two because of the man I had worked a little bit with. To sum things up, the girl I worked with was young, rude, and very inconsiderate especially since I was spending my money. I ended up going to a different dealership and getting exactly what I wanted with no hassle.

I purchased my vehicle here three years ago and the salesman was great. Have not had to deal with them as I’ve been changing my own oil. Decided I didn’t want to deal with the heat this time so made an appointment at Gateway Chevrolet to have an oil change and tire rotation.
I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment and sat and waited for 1.5 hours and noticed my truck sitting out in front of the building complete. I waited another 15 minutes and wasn’t called so I walked out and seen my service adviser making copies. I asked if my truck was ready to go and he said «I’m with another customer, when I’m done I’ll get you taken care of». I waited another 5 minutes while he finished up with the customer and while he was finishing up there were several other advisers sitting in their offices with no customers. I’ve been there now for 1 hour and 45 minutes and there is no reason I should have to sit and wait for one guy for 20 minutes after I noticed my truck complete and parked in front of the building. Why can’t someone else get me on my way?
I let him know I was now late for another appointment and he said «I’m only one guy and I’m working as fast as I can». He’s getting paid to sit there, I’m not so I could care less if he’s busy, get someone else to get me going. An oil change should not require 2 hours from the time it is dropped off to the time I drive away.
I was in such a rush to get to my next appointment I just jumped in and drove away. When I got home and got out of the truck I noticed I had grease stains all over my light grey cloth drivers seat. I also had all kinds of greasy hand prints over the light grey door panel and door handle. Took me over an hour working on the seat and it all didn’t come out.
I called the Service Manger to let him know and got his voice mail where I left a message for him to call me back. Never heard from him and it has been two days now.
I’ll be finding another dealer for my service and I’m getting ready to trade this vehicle in and it won’t be at Gateway Chevrolet.

We got a recall notice on our Trailblazer having to do with a switch in the door. Since we were new to the area, we tried the closest dealer/​shop, Gateway. The service bulletin said it would take between 20 minutes and 1 hr-​45. We called and made an appointment and the rep said allow 3 hrs. Several days later my wife took the car in. After 2 hours, they said they had to replace the switch but did not have any in inventory, so my wife came home. The driver door then did not lock with the fob and the windows can’t be controlled. I can’t figure out how they can set an appointment and not have a replacement part in stock.
Several days later, we were driving by, and ask when they would have a new switch in stock. The rep called Parts and was apparently told they had one in stock. The rep told us he would have it done in 30 minutes or less, so we went to the waiting area. After 45 minutes, I went to see the rep and he said he found out that they did not have the switch in stock, again, and he found that out 30 minutes earlier. Didn’t bother to tell us. We would probably still be there if I hadn’t asked.
The service manager was at lunch (2:30) so I complained to the warranty manager. He said he would have the service manager call me. Never got the phone call.
We left and will never go to Gateway ever again.
Time to find another Chevy shop, maybe further away, but hopefully they are managed better and can fix the recall issue.
