History

Established in 1985.

Ed and Joyce Waldrep are the founders of Ed’s Fish & Chips. They opened Ed’s Fish & Chips Avondale in February 1985. Some one in his family operated the store until it was sold in June of 2009. Ed’s Fish & Chips is now back in the hands of his family. We have brought back the old menu and have much success. The community has warmly welcomed us back. This has been a heart warming experience for all of us in the family.

Meet the Business Owner

Pennie C.

Business Owner

I am the daughter of Ed and Joyce Waldrep, founders of Ed’s Fish & Chips. When I was young my mom would take me to work with her. So I starting learning this business very young. I try my best to train my kids and my workers (extended family) the same way my mom and dad trained me. I work part time at the store now, but check in daily to make sure everything stays fresh and clean. My favorite part of the business is seeing all the returning customers. Some have been coming for as long as I can remember. Thank You!
