Railway Barbershop

These guys are fantastic! Top-​notch cuts, good prices, cool shop… it’s a great experience overall. I’ve been going here for 8 months now and I’m so glad I found this little gem. Keep up the awesome work!

Railway Barbershop is by far the best place for a haircut. Not only are the barbers great, the hours are too. They’re open every day from 9 – 6 and I’ve seen them stay as long as it takes after hours to ensure every customer is take care of. An after hours cut carries a surcharge of $ 4, some may complain but it’s only fair, if I work OT I want to be compensated for it too!
Railway has the true feel of the neighborhood barbershop you see in the movies. They take the time to chat with customers both in the chair and on the bench. You won’t get that at a lot of places. They’re all passionate about their customers and what they do too, and the results show it.
I used to go home after a haircut and have to fix mistakes that were visible and drove me nuts. I’m Those days are over now. I will continue to go to Railway Barbershop and highly recommend they you do too!

I just moved to Westlake from NY. I have been looking for a top quality shop and these guys met my expectations. Tom did an excellent job and it was nice to have a straight razor shave too. This will absolutely be my shop from now on. Fair prices and great attention to detail, can’t thank Tom enough.

Kevin and the fellas do a fantastic job. I always leave out of there feeling like a million bucks.

Solid haircuts for a fair price. Clearly, business is going well, as they have added a third barber in the last couple months or so. Very modern and clean business, but with a bit of old school charm. Also, they offer discounts for service members, which is a nice touch.

I’ve been going to Railway for over 7 months now and haven’t looked back. LOVE this place! Kevin, the owner and lead barber cut my hair up until my last few visits and has always done a fantastic job. On my last visit I decided to try the whole nine yards and get my beard done for the first time by the new guy Tom. I was nervous because I’m very picky and only Kevin cut my hair up until that point but I decided to give him a chance. He did an awesome job which proved to me that Railway has the best barbers in town and you will be happy no matter which chair you end up in. Today when I went back Tom was my barber again and I asked him to do a few extra things on my beard and he had no problem doing so. If you guys want something extra done or something differently then don’t be afraid to ask. I hate when people go to a place of business and complain about something but never asked for what they wanted. It drives me crazy. I haven’t heard of this happening here but I just wanted to express the importance of communicating with your barber! They’re amazing and I know what they’re capable of but can only do what you ask of them so don’t be afraid to ask. I asked for a few extra things today by just communicating what I think I would like and I left very happy. Tom’s razor game is sick!!! He’s a beast! I never looked this crispy! He has a perfected craft with both the clippers and the straight edge. I highly recommend any of the Railway barbers! This place isn’t going anywhere!

Great barbershop! Kevin does really great flattops. Not easy to find a barber who can. If you’re looking for an amazing face shave then Wes is the barber for you! Sit back relax and enjoy. Smoothest shaves ever. The shop is really clean and nice. They have great product too and take credit cards. I love this place.

I’ve always went to «chain» shops to get my hair cut, it «got» the job done I guess. I saw a Facebook post about about a new local barbershop opening in Avon and it said the barber was a Marine veteran, I had to go give him a try. I’m a loyal customer now and get my hair cut from Kevin ever 3 weeks. I told my wives grandfather about him, grandpa has cut his own hair for years, former veteran hisself he went to get his haircut and his eyebrow’s.lol.basically my whole family uses Kevin now, great shop and an excellent barber.

I walked in for my first haircut in over a decade (at least, not done at home with a razor) and I didn’t know what I wanted. How would I know? The barber gave me great advice though, and I felt good about the cut I got.
After the first view, I asked for it a little shorter, and he had no problem adjusting it to suit.
While the exterior has a classic railway station look, the interior is clean, fresh and modern without looking all «hair salon».
The barber was young enough to have an idea for modern style, but old enough that it didn’t seem like his first gig. Most barber shops seem full of staff who retired a decade ago.
Finally, they take credit. I hate withdrawing cash because I’m getting my hair cut by a place that hasn’t changed in thirty years, so, rock on.
It’s just slightly more expensive than other nearby barbershops, but it seemed worth it to me.
