Avon Washington Township Public Library

Is this library a 5 star library when compared to other libraries? Probably not. But for what it is in this area, it earns 5 stars from me. I love libraries. As a self-​proclaimed book nerd I had been itching to join a library for some time and finally after a couple moves and a name change I headed over to this library.
When I went to get started with a card the staff was super quick and so friendly! Explained everything in detail and taught me tips about the library. The selection is pretty good for the size of this library and everything is easy to find. So far it has been a frequently visited place for me to read books I don’t want to buy and to keep myself stocked on audiobooks because they are awesome for my long commute and there are lots of books available here. The place is kept tidy and the noise level is good, not creepy quiet but not annoyingly loud.
They have self checkout which I love (and expected in this day and age) and it is easy to use. All your checkouts can be tracked online which is good for me since I work on computers and prefer to track due dates there. You can also place holds online too. With this library, you can also use your card at a few other linked libraries including the nearby Brownsburg library but I have yet to venture to another library to browse. You also get access to an extensive digital library of audiobooks and e-​books! It is a fantastic extra service! There also seems to be a lot of activities going on here but I have yet to participate, looks like there might be some good children’s programs but I can’t confirm that.

Great library! Great selection of books and if you don’t see what you are looking for the super friendly staff will try to acquire the book you wish to read.
I was recently asked if people still go to libraries. Why waste money on a book you will finish in a few days and never touch again when you can get a library card and read them for free.

Great library, friendly and helpful staff! I always come here to use the internet, get books and even movies. They don’t always have the books I’m looking for, but I fill out a little form and they order them for me at no cost (unless it has to come from out of state, which I then have to pay a small shipping charge less than $ 3)
