Our history dates back to the1960’s, when a young and ambitious fisherman named Barry Cohen began processing his catch in Avila Beach, California. Unlike most «standard» fisherman, Barry had a philosophy that all of his fish were to be hand filleted, and hand packed with 0% preservatives and 100% care. The seafood industry quickly recognized Olde Port as having top quality seafood. Customers all over California became accustomed to looking for the box with the «happy fish logo» on it to know they were buying quality.
Today, Olde Port is nationally recognized with the «quality first» motto when it comes to fresh seafood. With the leadership of Barry’s son, Michael, the company has recently expanded its reach into new waters, including the opening of fresh seafood markets and grills.
