Mr. Chef’s

This was an excellent surprise. Very hard to find quality Chinese in South Florida. Asian fusion is everywhere, but that’s no substitute for great Chinese.
We had chicken wings, ribs, pork fried rice, and wonton soup. I didn’t have any of the wings, however they looked tasty and my brother said they were very good. The rice was phenomenal. So many restaurants get this wrong. The onions were cooked properly and the pork was large and well cooked. The rice itself was fluffy and well prepared. The ribs were tender and grilled perfectly. The only issue is they could have had more sauce. The service was also good. Granted there were very few diners at this particular time. The wonton soup was tasty and well flavored. Another rarity based upon my experience. All in all I’ll definitely come back even though it’s an hour trip. It just won’t be as often as I would like.

Dumplings not all that. General chows chicken not the best quality meat. Super fried and not enough white chicken inside. Food not cheap either.

This place should close down, food is way to expensive and it was really bad. When I ordered the food they were already a little rude, but I thought maybe it’s because they could barely understand me, my order turned out it was wrong and it was horrible I was throwing up all night.
The hole in the wall Chinese I order from my my house is delicious and cheap this place is expensive and bad. I asked for hot sauce they said I have to pay for it then I did and it was hot oil that wasn’t hot at all. Again if you want to be expensive and try to be fancy start with having someone who understands English, and give free hot sauce at least, and get a new chef because the food did not taste good at all. K

Very good local place. It does get busy but service is good and food is very good. Definitely recommend.

I love this place sometimes it’s difficult to place an order but the shrimp balls are fucking great lol

Best Chinese restaurant in Aventura — classic, clean and exactly what you expect! Had the Mongolian beef and sesame chicken; both really good — you must have and can’t miss the dumplings here!

Mr. Chef is a decent Chinese restaurant. I usually order delivery from them. The wait can sometimes be long (I have called back to check on delivery status several times) but the food is pretty good. The menu contains a mix of American Chinese food and some decent Cantonese style items. The prices is a bit steep for Chinese food delivery.

I have to disagree with some of the prior reviews. This place is on point. Ordered orange beef, house special chow fun noodles, walnut shrimp and a side of broccoli in oyster sauce. All made well with nice pieces of meat, poultry, large shrimp and good quality ingredients. Everything was around $ 60 with delivery and tasted outstanding. I will be ordering again. Thank you Mr Chef.

I always order from here and the food is good and never had any complaints until now. The issue is the delivery guy who just came to my house this evening and screamed at me for no reason. He called me bc he was lost and told me that he was just going to leave and I would get my food later. I kept telling him to calm down and that I would come downstairs and find him. He calls me back a few times continuing to scream at me that he’s lost. Then he shows up to my valet and throws the bag of food at me quickly and tells me he’s going to lose money bc he was lost and trying to blame me? Really? I told him I do not deserve to be treated like this and it made me extremely uncomfortable. I asked him to pull over and apologize and he continued screaming at me through his window and sped off when I was trying to diffuse the situation bc I order from them and I didn’t want any drama. I called the restaurant and complained. They really should give me a refund. Sorry but I don’t care how good the food is, I am not ordering from them again.

Best Chinese in the area by far! I’ve tried some of their dishes and liked everything. The Hot & Sour soup needs some soy sauce added to it, but other than that it’s delicious. I suggest their Sesame Fish, simply fantastic…

Stopped into this place a few times and decided to go recently for lunch and was pleasantly surprised at the decent sized menu at a fair price. Not overly crowded like the evenings (Usually filled with Aventura locals).people taking their time and making this place an event. The soups are decent as well as your choice of rices. White, brown or friend. Hot tea served if asked for and the usual noodles. The menu states what might be hotter items
I would suggest anything Sezehuan (spelling?)here. Items fresh as they have big turnover and big enough that you usually dont have to wait. Not bad if local and in the mood

Great food, it might be pricey however for good food you going to have to pay. I will definitely recommend this place, everything is authentic.

Ordered from there for ever now. Got curry sauce on the side tonight. Put my fork through it and this thick clear jelly came out called and asked what that was and I was told I don’t know but I wouldn’t eat it. What kind of answer is that looks like someone jizzed or spat in my sauce. Nothing was even wrong we had no issues we even ordered online so I’m guessing I got the extra ingredient that was meant for someone else. When I tried to find out what it was I was told we don’t know we’ll get you a different sauce. Uploading pics let’s see if they take them down

My favorite place to get Chinese in aventura. Love their internet ordering. Big fan of the shrimp dumplings

There is no sense of time or urgency for deliveries. I have ordered several times always delivery. They always state 45 – 60 minutes but it normally tikes a minimum of a hour and 20 minutes.
The food is really good. Portions are ok but the prices are ridiculous, especially for Chinese delivery.

This is great Chinese food for the northern area of miami (Aventura) I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve eaten here. The lettuce wraps rock. You can’t go wrong when you see police cars at a food establishment. I look for that. Those boys like their food while on shift. I’ve always liked to eat at places where I see the police. You know it has to be good– why else would the local police eat there?!? This place hasn’t disappointed until a recent bout of food poisoning? or stomach bug… I can’t figure it out– but I’d still go back– I’m from NY and this is the best Chinese I’ve found.

Update…
We’ve been disappointed with our last 2 takeout experiences– not with the food, but with the delivery time. Last night we ordered online, as we always do. We ordered at 7:25pm, and were quoted an 8:25pm delivery. We did not receive our order until nearly TWO hours later, at 9:18pm. If we had known it was going to be this long, we would have made other plans for dinner. I don’t understand what is causing this (no big game on last night, it wasn’t New Years…) Seems like they need to hire more help. The time before this, our order took an hour and 20 minutes to arrive. I don’t want to miss out on their food, but I will think twice before doing delivery again, unfortunately :(

This place is disgusting! Found hair in ALL, and I mean ALL of our dishes!!! Stay FARRRRRR away from this place at all cost! Don’t believe me, take a look at fellow Unilocalers pictures and posts!
Restroom is disgusting! Mum always said if their bathrooms/​restrooms are dirty, they are dirty people lol! Stay away!

This is my go-​to place for Chinese take-​out. Ive never eaten in, so my experiences have been with take-​out only. I usually place my orders online, which gets you a small discount for orders over $ 30. I don’t do this because Im cheap, its more out of convenience.
I typically order the same stuff, because I like what I get. I like the fact they have «Health Garden» section, with dishes that don’t have lots of sauce/​salt. I typically get the mixed vegetables w/​tofu, and the Szechuan shrimp. They offer their dishes with white or brown rice (with no extra charge). The Shrimp is larger than most places and usually cooked perfectly. The portions are a nice size for the price. The packaging for take out is also well done. Overall, I have been very satisfied.
The location is very convenient, but it could be hard to find if you don’t know the area. Its in a retail section underneath residential buildings, and the street is a little hard to notice if you are not familiar. Parking is usually not a problem.
I would recommend you try it if you are in the neighborhood, or if you are looking for some good take out.
