This review is for the service department only and i must say this is the worst place you can take your car to. Not only are they an incompetent bunch of technicians but they also cheat you on the charges.
I had the check engine light come on in my RAV4 and i took it to this dealership (something which i repent). They told me a diagnosis charge for 90 $ which they mentioned would go towards the repair so i decided to drop off my car. They called me the next morning to say there is an EVAP leak detected and they did the smoke test and other diagnosis and they have not found where exactly is the leak. They need to drop down the gas tank in order to do further diagnosis and the cost of diagnosis is now 320 $. They also told me it would not be safe to drive the car with an evap leak. So i decided to go ahead with the diagnosis thinking there might be some serious issue. I kept calling them periodically to know the status but was always told they haven’t found the problem.
After another 3 days they responded saying they have still not been able to find the problem and now they need to bring down the gas tank completely. I was shocked because i authorized 320 $ initially for bringing down the gas tank. Then they started making excuses that it was only for further diagnosis and they cannot bring down the gas tank completely because of the underneath exhaust pipe. Now in order to do bring down the gas tank they would have to replace the exhaust pipe underneath which would cost me 1200 $. So i have to pay 1200 $ to replace something which has been working fine for them to do further diagnosis. I declined and they charged me 385 $ for their diagnosis saying i have declined the further diagnosis so i have to pay for their time so far.
After 3 – 4 months i took my car to a local service center (based on the reviews on Unilocal) and they detected the problem in an hour. The only issue was there was a crack in the fuel cap due to which there was a leak. They replaced the fuel cap and i have driven 3000 miles since then and the check engine light hasn’t come up since then.
I find it absolutely ridiculous that a big dealership such as this cannot detect such a simple issue like a crack in fuel cap. I feel completely cheated as they told me initially 320 $ for dropping the gas tank for further diagnosis and then saying they cannot drop it due to the exhaust and still charge me for that.
I recommend you to stay from this service center.

This review is for the Service Department. I have had the opportunity to service with 4 different Toyota dealers and 3 in NJ. Across the 3 others I have had consistent service. I had made an appointment last week and was happy that I received 2 – 3 reminders for the same from their side. However when I went in, it was totally different experience.
a) A gentleman had checked the details, outside condition etc and then the actual SA (Service Adviser) Marc came, he did the same again. Usually they greet and do all the sweet talk. This SA was particularly cold from the beginning.
b) I already had an appointment for the 10k mile oil change and surprisingly the SA asked me for my Registration — why would someone want that. All other dealers have tracked my history based on my last name, VIN #. He said it would cost ~$ 220 since it was mandatory to do the coolant flush at 100,000m and mine has some 99K. I asked him why would I do that since my car has only 50K miles on it. He said «Oh» and went outside and checked the car again, came back and said it has only 50. There wasn’t even an apology or chuckle or nothing.
c) I was asked to wait, he didn’t even tell me where the lounge was correctly, I was asked to wait in the restaurant upstairs. After ½ hr, he comes up bringing the filters and asked if I want to replace it. To me, it didn’t look all dirty — but I was still ok in changing them.
d) After an hour, he calls that the car is ready, I came down — he gave me a form to sign. He informs amount is ~$ 186 and then takes me to the cashier — thats where the waiting lounge was (I wasn’t sure why he didn’t tell me that in the first place). I paid the $, he gave me the keys and left.
e) All my earlier experiences, the SA has explained the work done, briefed me about the current health showing the multipoint check sheet and explained the charges. After I paid was when I noticed the receipt only showed amount for part and labor. I went back and asked him if they do a multipoint check. Again unapologetic, he reached out for the printer and said everything looks ok, tires may need to be changed. I had changed to a Michelin primacy only some 10K miles back. I told him they’re new– he said «oh then they needn’t be changed»
I opened the trunk and saw all the leaves and other paper etc that was there before service was still there. So I don’t even know if the trunk was opened and if they really changed oil :(
Overall, I am neither satisfied with the customer service nor with the vehicle service. I do not even know if it was serviced or whether they just took the car, called me after an hr and took the $

Great experience in buying 2015 Toyota RAV4. They truly showed the phrase «The Customer is KING». Don’t forget the name of Ms. Dari and Mr. Rick, they will help you in everything they can do…

Horrible ! Liars ! And will do anything to fool you. Unfortunately I was too fooled by these guys, I was promised one price online, negotiated another price in person and then when I came home and saw my papers another price was written. These guys are LIARS! if you guys can please stay away from this place! They have no self respect ! Instead of helping a person and sticking to agreement they try finding loop holes to which a person wouldn’t notice. These guys also attach unnecessary warranties so they can make extra commission!!! I HATE THESE GUYS SO DAYM MUCH FOR RIPPING ME OFF!!! now all I can do is let my voice be heard to others, I don’t know about their other department but I’m talking about Toyota dealership at this automall

Horrible service department. They are careless and have no value for customer service. The manager Chris Miros… doesn’t care to return phone calls.
Wouldn’t recommend buying a car from here if you have to use their service department. This is the lesson I learned when I brought my car here. Pick a dealer that has a reputable and quality service department over a good deal, especially if you will bring your car here for service! Not recommended.

These guys are truly TERRIBLE. My friend bought a car here, and one month later they still haven’t sent the tags. Now the new car is illegal to drive and can’t even park on street. Literally called 16 times and never got through. Finally she spoke to someone, was promised the tags were overnighted yesterday but it was a lie. When the tags didn’t arrive, after another round of calls/​roadblocks, finally got Jose the manager who said they sent them this morning — and said «things could be worse. It’s just tags.» Can’t believe he said that. We literally can’t drive the car. And, to top it all off, they still didn’t bother overnighting the tags so they won’t arrive for another 3 days.
DON’T BUY YOUR CAR HERE.

8 am appointment for an oil change. (Side note I’m still waiting for my car while writing this), seemed like a routine visit. I don’t usually go to dealerships for simple services lime oil changes but this is my fiancé’s car and this is her routine. I go into waiting room. He told me it would be about an hour wait. Ok, there were 6 ppl ahead of me even though I had an appointment, but ok. About 1 hour and 20 minutes of wait time, I go to inquire about my vehicle. The gentleman isn’t at his cubicle/​office. Hmmm, ok. I wait. Someone sees my obvious disgust and they even call me by name as if they knew my situation. I get ushered into another cubicle to speak with a woman. This woman hands me 5 pages of supposed and suggested services that need to get done to car. Needless to say the total on the last page was 2k. NEWS FLASH I just received my invoice. He have me 20 bucks off for delay. And a free car wash. Which (by the looks of it) amounts to them spraying my car with dirty tap water and letting it dry in the sun. This place is horrible. Will NEVA EVA EVA return, recommend, or even utter.

This review is strictly of my recent experiences with their service department. I purchased my Toyota from Sansone 3−½ years ago without issue. I am going to list out my (long, sorry) timeline of events as dispassionately as possible:
Several months ago I had a (non-​urgent) problem that I suspected would fall under my extended warranty, so I called Sansone to ask. Nobody there had any idea but said they would find out and call me back, which they never did.
About a month ago I finally decided to do my own research, and confirmed that my problem should be covered, so I made my appointment and drove 40 minutes to get my car fixed. I was told a part would need to be ordered. The part would take about a week to come in and I would receive a call when it arrived.
Two weeks later I had heard nothing, so I called. The person I spoke with confirmed my part had arrived (though I was not notified), so I made an appointment for that Saturday to get my car fixed, and also to get my oil changed. After another 40 minute drive and an hour in the waiting room I was told they had ordered the wrong part. The bright side was they told me the oil change would be on the house when I returned to get my car fixed. They said the new part would be in by Wednesday and that I would get a call when it arrived.
Monday (two days after my failed repair) I received a call inquiring why I missed my appointment.
Thursday (three days later) I called to see if the part had arrived. I was told that yes, it had arrived two days prior and wasn’t told because my vehicle was at the dealership. (It wasn’t. I had been driving it.) I made my appointment for Saturday at 1:00. Not an hour later I received a call reminding me of my appointment.
Friday (next day) I called to ask if their local shuttle would be able to take me and my young children to the nearby YMCA to go swimming while we wait for the car to be fixed, mentioning the day and time of the appointment. I was told that yes, it shouldn’t be a problem.
Saturday at 12:55 I arrived with my kids and was told the shuttle was only going to be running until 1:30, meaning I would be stuck in the waiting room with my kids for several hours. (To be fair, a little while later the shuttle driver came by and offered to stay an extra hour and pick us up at 2:30 at the Y. I thanked him but explained that with getting the kids in and out of their swimsuits and ready to return by 2:30 we wouldn’t have much time to swim. And the kids were engrossed in the kids’ movie playing in the waiting room. Honestly, had the person I spoke to the day before told me the time constraints of the shuttle I would have left the kids home.)
Three hours later my car was fixed, oil was changed, and I walked out with a bill of $ 0. Much appreciated, even if the mileage printed on my oil change sticker was wrong.
Today (two days later) I received a call asking why I missed my appointment.
In conclusion the people I dealt with while there were very nice and tried to be helpful. And although their ordering the wrong part was inconvenient for me to say the least, I appreciate that they tried to make it up to me with the oil change. But I believe my narrative illustrates a SEVERE problem with communications, both from Sansone to the customer and between departments. In spite of the friendly people I encountered there I think I’ll be giving another dealership my maintenance business from now on.

A one star rating is more stars than Sansone Toyota deserves. This may be the least responsible dealership ever. The salesmen are all just after the sale. They will promise you anything just to get you to sign the papers, but after the papers are signed, they won’t actually come through with anything.
We bought the car here in New Jersey, but needed the car registered in Pennsylvania. Of course, they said that would be easily done and we just had to pay the registration fee. As first time car buyers, they failed to let us know that we could use our old plates for much cheaper than that. But that aside, when time came around to actually pick up the plates we went to PennDot and found that the registration information was never even sent to them! The car wasn’t in the system. It wasn’t until we called again that we found out that we were missing a copy of our car insurance card. They had told us we had given them all the information they needed, and over the course of the whole month we weren’t contacted at all about this missing information that was ESSENTIAL towards registering the car. (Our salesman did send us a Christmas card in time though. They could snail mail us holiday greetings, but couldn’t pick up the phone to tell us our registration was missing information? Thanks, Dari.) Would they have just never sent in the registration had we not checked up on it? Now, we’re stuck driving an unregistered car until they get their act together and send in all the information. This is now 1.5 months and counting… If we ever got a ticket I hope we can recount this story to the police and have them see that dealing with this unforgivably asinine group of bumbling thumb-​twiddlers should be punishment enough.
This could’ve all been avoided had they just been upfront about how incapable and irresponsible they are. It would’ve been much less of a headache had we just gone and registered the car ourselves because dealing with the DMV would be better than dealing with them. Then, in response to what is clearly a mishandling of the situation on their part, they have been dodging phone calls, not returning messages, and not keeping us updated on when we can pick up these plates. When we complained to the manager, all he could say was «yeah, it’s really difficult to process PA plates cause there’s a lot of extra stuff for us to do.» News flash! This is your job. This is literally what you do for a living. If you felt like it was too much work, please don’t inconvenience me by charging me to register the car and then just ignoring it for over a month… Next time, just let me register it myself.
The only good thing out of this whole experience was that I actually like my car. Thanks, Toyota.
If you want your car buying experience to be with a bunch of unreliable, incompetent, unprofessional idiots feel free to stop by Sansone Toyota. Otherwise, avoid this dealership like the plague.

This place is unprofessional beyond belief and I implore Unilocal to create a 0 star rating just for such instances.
The sales staff was decent but the finance department was another story.
The first rule of business is to respect your customer. This institution apparently never got that memo. After making it clear multiple times that we did not want to purchase the GAP insurance, the finance rep Steven Sears tries to strong-​arm my parents into purchasing it by bringing up how supposedly members of their church have done the same. What in the world does that have to do with anything? When I ask for a sandwich at a deli, I expect to get what I ordered, not to be lectured about what patrons before me have ordered. It is absolutely ridiculous to bring religion into the purchase of a car. I mentioned this to him and he was EXTREMELY nasty about it, saying that «this is not the gameroom, it’s business. if you got a problem then speak to my manager» before shouting «hey ricky this guy wants to talk to you» Now I may be young but I am no child and I am certainly not an imbecile. The condescending attitude of this man is so insulting and disrespectful that it soured the whole experience for me. No business I have ever heard of actually goes out of their way to slander their customers except for this one. If you want to be conned by sleazy salespeople and be treated like a moron, then by all means go to Sansone Toyota. If you have even the slightest shred of respect for yourself then go somewhere else.

I don’t even know why we go there for maintenance, there are closer dealerships to us. Oil change, for instance and tire rotation takes almost two hours and they don’t even put in the right amount of oil but overfill. Water pump replacement quote was over $ 400 (must think we are all idiots who don’t see a scam for what it is). Horrible, horrible.

Even though I bought another brand than Toyota, I was treated fairly and professionally. Sales staff is nice and tried to give the the best car at best price.

Finally a sales professional! After going thru the hassle of buying a new car! We finally met Benny Jimenez Who actually listen to what we wanted… He made the buying experience easy and pleasant. Instead of the usual back and forth Benny along with his manager Jose gave us a great deal! And while the car was getting ready we had lunch at their cafeteria! Went back and the paperwork was ready, we signed and drove away in our new Camry! Thank you guys!

Great car buying experience. My sales lady Dorie took the time to help me find the new car that worked best for me. I would definitely revisit and recommend them to friends/​family.

TERRIBLE SERVICE and HORRIBLE ATTITUDE… I was stranded at work because the power wouldn’t go on in my Toyota Corolla. I called over my coworkers, who are mechanics at the company, to help me jumpstart it so I can go home quickly since it was the day before 4^th of July. They tried to jumpstart it but it didn’t work so I called Roadside assistance and they came and towed me to the nearest Toyota dealer. I had to leave my car there and had my parents drive 2 hours up to pick me up that day since they were closing and wouldn’t be working on it until Saturday. Saturday comes and I called them late morning, they said they didn’t get to it yet so to call after lunch time. I did and they asked if I got it jumpstarted, I said yes I did and she told me that it was jumpstarted backwards and that the warranty will not cover it. THERE WAS NO WAY more than 5 mechanics that came to help me and no one saw that it was done backwards… it sounded like complete BS!!! I told her that over 5 mechanics were watching while it was jumpstarted, she said well you must’ve gotten incompetant people because 90% of people get it wrong… she kept denying my story and telling me that I lied… We called the Toyota customer service and they told us that they can ONLY BELIEVE THEIR TECHNICIANS… ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!!! You won’t even believe your own customer??? I ended up having to pay $ 380 FOR ONLY LABOR while $ 50 were parts… the part that I’m angry about was that they basically called me a LIAR and would not have warranty cover it… THIS IS A HORRIBLE PLACE, DO NOT GO HERE THEY DON’T WANT TO HELP YOU ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY!!!

I was only there for an oil change and because my car only had 6 months left of my lease I was doing some research for my next car.
I test drove a fj cruiser and really did like it. I was told they could not only take me out of my lease early, but they could even take the car with the damage that was on it and all wear and tear. They kept a me there for about 5 hours for the whole process all while promising they would be able to work out a payment I was comfortable with. I said no a few times, but they were so manipulative in promising me the world I was a little naïve and trusted what they were telling me. Charlie the supposed manager said he would be able to work on the numbers as he put it. They had someone look at my car to see how they were going to be able to work out the price that I was able to afford monthly including with the damage wear and tear and amount that I had left on the car. I spoke with Charlie again who was supposedly the manager who kept assuring me that i would not have to worry about it they would take care of everything and I would be able to walk away with the truck of my choice and the damage on the car would be fine since I am going into a new truck. Nothing but lies. He then started to tell me I would have to be in a four year lease instead because of the amount of damage. I figured that wasn’t so bad for getting the truck I wanted and not having to worry about damage or wear and tear on my previous car. Then all of a sudden they didn’t have the truck I wanted and test drove they had to give me last years model which was 2013 & not the 2014 which is what I test drove.
I was the again lied to and said because of the damage on my car this was what I was able to work with. I would have to wait a few days for them to not only find my color but for them to give me the same features I was expecting to get originally. The roof rack, and camera rear view mirrors. I finally pick up my truck after a huge problem again now with my plates and stickers. Three weeks past I hear nothing from the dealer regarding my plates and stickers for the car because the temporary inspection is about to expire I call to see what’s going on with them and apparently they were just holding them.
Three months later I get a letter in the mail stating I owe wear and tear on my previous car. I call the dealer speak with Charlie who basically called me a liar and said I was responsible for the wear and tear he never said I wasn’t. Are you kidding me??? This place is a joke! Prime example of low life sneaky car salesmen!
This is the last time I will ever purchase a vehicle from this place I’ve purchased three cars from them previously and due to their unethical sneaking lying practices. I will never go there again. This place doesn’t even deserve the one star

On a visit to my daughters apartment in NYC, my wife and I decided to stop at Sansone Toyota to see a used Venza that we saw on
. We walked into the showroom just about an hour before closing. We were politely greeted by our
salesman Vinny C. Vinny turned out to be one of the best salespeople we have dealt with. He listened carefully, did not rush us or stall, he helped us with additional info and did not oversell. He even assured us about matching our financing from our local bank. We ended up with a great deal and a fine purchasing experience. Keep up the good work Vinny! and Sansone dealership! We will definitely be back.
