Yo So Cool frozen yogurt

Stopped by the new location on South Congress near W. William Cannon early this morning. Enjoyed an excellent cup of coffee and enjoyed sampling the dark chocolate frozen yogurt. …oh my goodness! Perfect! Cannot wait to try some more flavors. Lovely place… nice ambiance.

Clean place. Nice staff. Good location. Good toppings. Really bad frozen yogurt. Its not smooth or creamy.

On a cold rainy day who wants frozen yogurt? This girl, that’s who! After being annoyed shopping at Home Depot, I decided that I needed a treat so, we stopped in here. They have plenty of seating inside and this place is super clean.
This is the type of top it yourself place that charges you by the weight. You can sample different flavors with tiny ramekin paper cups so you don’t have to start all over when you don’t like it.
First you pick your bowl and second you pick your frozen yogurt flavor and they have about a dozen. Then at the topping bar you can choose from a large assortment of toppings including sweets, fruits, cookies, chocolates, etc. Then you go to the register and they weight it for you to pay.
I opted for the cheese cake flavored frozen yogurt with pineapple, kiwi and coconut. All the toppings were super fresh and the frozen yogurt was the bomb. It definitely hit my sweet spot itch that I needed scratched.
This place is a bit more expensive than a regular ice cream stand but, when you want fresh and tasty you have to pay for it.

Locally owned family business with delicious food and fun. Taste as many flavors as you would like and put as many toppings, or none at all. You can create your own masterpiece and not feel so guilty as you would eating an ice cream sundae. It is clean, it is friendly and the customer service is excellent! What is not to like? Get a free rewards card and stamp with every purchase and you’ll get a free yogurt.

This place is the closest frozen yogurt to our house so we actually come here quite a bit. Although the service is always friendly, I don’t think they do a very good job of rotating their flavors enough — which is really disappointing!
Their frozen yogurt is often not chilled enough and melts quickly too.

This place is by far one of the worst yogurt shops that I have been to. The staff is extremely rude. The store smells horrible and the choice of toppings is minimal at best.

So when you are used to TCBY almond milk yogurt you get quite spoiled. We happen to be on this side of town, after leaving the hospital and really wanted yogurt. We had the mango sherbet and the topping selection was pretty standard. I was happy they had dark chocolate chips though. that is hard to find! I think this is the same as Yoway and the other traditional froyo places around town.
The customer service was good and the pricing was pretty typical. If I was on this side of town again I would stop by if I wanted something fruity.

This place is really underrated. At a lot of the frozen yogurt places around town (particularly the chains), the yogurt is melting seconds after it comes out of the tap.
Here though, it stays ice cold the entire time you’re eating it. I appreciate a frozen yogurt business that actually runs its machines as cold as possible.

Yum! always a pleasure to go there for an after school snack — and the rewards program they have helps with the fact that it’s kinda expensive!

I really wish this place was better because it’s conveniently located up the street from my apartment. Well maybe it’s actually a good thing that it isn’t worth revisiting because if it were better I’d probably have froyo more frequently. The texture of the frozen yogurt isn’t really creamy. The fruit wasn’t fresh and the other toppings were cut in really big pieces. Out of all the places I’ve had froyo in Austin this is probably my least favorite. Also — it’s pretty overpriced. I’m pretty sure I paid half as much for the same amount elsewhere.

This place is nothing special, but it serves its purpose. The staff is very friendly. They have a lot of flavors to choose from and the toppings are plentiful too. The main thing — it’s clean!

I’m surprised this isn’t rated higher than it is. Could it be because it doesn’t look nicer? No matter. I’m a yogurt fan and have been to many places. I typically stick to the original tart flavor because I find the other flavors wanting. I was pleasantly surprised to find their praline along with their dulce de leche tasty enough for me to get more than a sample. Finishing up, input their original tart flavor up there with my favorite which is Menchies.

This used to be one of my least favorite fro yo places in Austin and now it’s my favorite!
Icy frozen yogurt, kit kat topping, free WiFi, friendly-​as-​hell staff. I’m set!
Everyone that works there is really nice, unlike before, and the yogurt brands have changed to something amazing. Eat here with confidence ^^

If you are seeking a spot to shell out $ 4.68 for an undersized cup of overly sweet, half melted, fro-​yo, and you are hoping to top it off with some under-​ripened mango and stale animal cookies.
If you really are hoping to be rung up by someone who cant take their eyes off the TV showing reruns of SpongeBob long enough to hand you your debit card back.

Love this place! The yogurt is always fresh tasting, the toppings fresh and have a wide selection, and the staff is always friendly. I highly recommend Yo So Cool!

sick, nasty, gross. this place is overpriced, the people there are some of the most rude people i’ve encountered in a customer service position. Truly horrible. I wish I could have returned my frozen yogurt, I really shouldn’t have paid. THese people that worked there truly must have been miserable and angry because that is what they projected into the cold and unwelcoming, dark and dismal environment that served this melty, runny, pretty disgusting «frozen yogurt». THey have three non-​fat flavors, a disgusting sugar free. Honestly, I am in disarray that anyone would ever go back to this place. the yogurt is disgusting, the environment is dark, its expensive, and the people are straight up rude. Since it is a yogurt place, let me re-​emphasize the yogurt is disgusting.

Didnt like this place. we walked into a hispanic man listening loudly at the front counter watching movies on his lap top. never bothered to turn it down, so you cant really sit down inside and enjoy, we took ours to go. it had an odd older taste to it like it was not cleaned or maybe just going bad, was more expensive than Yogurtland.

SELF-​SERVE frozen yogurt with a variety of flavors. Little sample cups that you may help yourself to. You grab a cup, pick the flavor or multiple flavors, then add your own toppings, you weigh it on the scale and pay per ounce. Its not quite 50-​cents per ounce, so be choosy with the topping because it really adds to the weight.
Some flavors stay the same, while others change every few weeks, so you can call ahead to find out the current flavors! There are a variety of toppings too including whip cream, fruits, candies (like M&M’s, crushed peanut butter cups, crushed butterfingers, snowcaps, nuts, etc.).
Although its a little pricey, I like to walk over to this eatery from my workplace. The staff is friendly and helpful. The flavors are yummy. There is outdoor seating available too.

I love frozen yogurt! I have been to a few places in town. I decided to try this one since it was close to where I was when I had a craving for something sweet.
The employee working was very friendly and explained to me how things were set up which I appreciated because every store is set up differently.
They have a variety of flavors and toppings (I couldn’t name them all if I tried). I settled upon the cake batter and vanilla yogurt with lots of chocolate toppings (M&M’s, chocolate syrup, Reeses) and gummy bears. YUMMY!!!
Beware because it is self serve and they have large cups. In the excitement things can add up quickly.
It is $.39/​ounce and if you like them on Facebook you can save a dollar. You can bet that I whipped out my Iphone and liked them right then and there! I am all about saving. :-)
I will definitely go here next time I am in that shopping center.

Let me preface this review by admitting that this is my first visit to this kind of place. I have not had frozen yogurt since it became «fro-​yo.» For me, frozen yogurt has just been another option at the ice cream parlour, purportedly better for you (at least according to grandma). So I have no frame of reference for this «fro-​yo» compared to others of its ilk.
That being said, I liked it. The flavors were interesting (I went with a swirl between Coconut Paradise and original Tart), and I loved the toppings. I’m right now working my way through shredded coconut, lychee nuts (!) mochi rice balls (!) and almond slivers. Fun. And I like the self-​serve thing — I can get just exactly what I want, which may be smaller than a small or somewhere between a small and medium, or whatever. And I like self-​serve tastes, so that I don’t feel bad bothering someone for a fifth spoon when I want to try red velvet (I didn’t, but it sounds interesting).
My only concern was that there was kind of an odd smell when we walked in. But I didn’t notice it after a second, so it may have been from something outside. Inside it looked very clean, and the young man behind the counter was very helpful to us novices. And I liked the ingredient book, so we could check for artificial sweeteners or flavors, or anything else we don’t care to ingest. And while I think all the flavors were lowfat or nonfat, you couldn’t tell. I got two nonfat flavors, and they were perfectly satisfying.
Overall, I think I’m a fan. And since it’s so convenient a location for us, I’m sure we’ll be back.
