I ordered several windows from Window World after consulting with the manager, Hector. He was really informative and polite. I needed my bathroom window installed ASAP so my contractor could finish some work on my bathroom. When it came time to install the window, it was over the holidays and half the install crew was out.
Seth, the owner, and his son, ended up coming out to my house and installing the window. They did such a great job on the install. Seth even pointed out a small leak that I had in my ceiling that could have potentially turned into a bigger issue.
The bathroom window looks gorgeous and it’s no longer drafty in there. It was also about 30% less expensive than another quote I received from a local window company.
The remaining windows are coming in next week and I look forward to seeing them installed!

I used Window World to replace 11 windows in my home. I had 6 estimates done (Window World and 5 other businesses). Before starting this endeavor, I knew very little about windows but as soon as the first company did an estimate, it became imperative that I learn about the variables of windows, especially what was important to me and my home. Like everything else, there are literally thousands of windows out there. The minutiae of it all can be overwhelming. Every single company was pleasant, professional, and had plenty of information about their windows. Long and short, it was really going to be up to me to decide how far down the rabbit hole I wanted to go. Sure, brochures and pictures are helpful, but, truly, why should I care what kind of maze of vinyl and foam are in the frames? They are all double pane with argon gas. They are all pretty. Truly, I couldn’t tell the difference in the pictures with a gun to my head. Estimates ranged from $ 6000-​$ 20 000…for the same 11 windows. I read over 100 reviews for everything. Was I missing something I would regret later?
Long and short of it, there are a lot of quality windows out there. Window World was the best price for the best quality window. Every person I encountered was relaxed, easy to reach, and to the point. I got the message my windows arrived. When I called for an installation day, I got the very next day. The crew was lovely. They arrived on time and were done within 4 hours, leaving my home even better than they found it. I have different siding on different sides of the house and you can’t tell that anyone moved a thing. The difference in my home’s heating/​cooling was instant. I don’t hear every worm that crawls or dog that barks at 5 am. They are not only pretty to look at, but easy to operate. The warranty is outstanding. I could not be happier with my choice. Thanks to the other customers who left good, useful feedback. Their reviews allowed me to discover Window World in Austin, and started me on the path that ended with absolute satisfaction. I hope this review will do the same for someone else.

We got 3 bids on replacing all of our windows in our house and they were by far the cheapest for the some of the better quality windows. The real value came with their installation; they were on time, very personable and explained the entire process step by step. The windows look fantastic and they even pointed out some additional damage we had that we weren’t aware of and fixed it at no additional charge. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality windows at a great price.

Worst service ever!!! Asked to order windows from them for a mobile home the receptionist called 3 times to get the order right after 3 calls and that info being given numerous times the first time! Then they order side sliding windows vs up and down. Me not knowing the difference in between the windows cause I told him I needed double hung, no one ever said sideways or top and bottom lift. So I call them tell them I need new windows and the owner acts unprofessional saying fine I will cut you a check and you can order windows elsewhere. So I take them to the back cause he is not treating me the customer the way I should which is saying yeah we didn’t explain it no one asked so that’s our fault for assuming and get me new windows. I meet him at the back to drop the windows off and he jumps out the door running at me chest bumping me pushing me numerous times trying to knock the window out of my hand and then he proceeds to takes the window out of my hand and throws it on the ground breaking it. Now that all of this happened I set up a complaint with the better business bureau to let them know about this business owner. All this is from a measly $ 478 purchase, 2 windows and I’d have bought more like 10 or 12 to complete the house. If this had a no star option that’s what it would be!

Window World saved me today. I was cleaning my Window World windows for an Open House on Sunday and didn’t snap the window all the way. When I went outside to touch up a spot, I pushed the window inside and broke the frame. Totally my bad but I was freaking out because I didn’t want bugs in my clean house and didn’t want to be paying to a/​c the great outdoors. Seth and Hector got a crew over TODAY to get the window to stay in place until my replacement window sash comes in. Even better, the sash and labor is FREE because of their lifetime warranty. WooHoo. Gotta love Window World’s service!!!

We used Window World (WW) to replace 14 windows in our house, and we are extremely satisfied with their service, work and product. Before choosing Window World I did a lot of research and interviewed 3 other companies/​contractors. Of the 4 estimates we got, WW wasn’t the least expensive, but it was the all-​around best considering cost, warranty, product and customer service. Seth is one of the Austin WW owners, and he’s incredible to work with — down-​to-​earth and will answer endless questions, he knows the windows well but also understands the technical details, like installation, egress requirements, etc. Seth seems to take personal responsibility for making sure the job is well done and representing WW. Prior to Seth managing the Austin office, I had read some poor reviews of WW Austin, but they were mostly problems with customer service and install — not the Windows themselves. Then I read a very long, glowing review of WW once Seth had taken over, and that is what led me to looking at them — I’m so glad I did!
The install process was much faster than I expected (they did 8 windows in a day), and b/​c our house is so old I assumed there would be a lot of cleanup/​touchup/​painting to do post-​install. There was nothing but a little vacuuming to do after. Our windows operate, look and sound great.

Couldn’t have asked for better service and quality. Let me preface this review with our windows were literally from 1970 and were in bad shape. We have been putting off getting new windows for a while because we were afraid it was going to be too expensive. We contacted a few companies here in Austin that were recommended by friends and family that have had windows replaced. Window World was by far the most attentive and professional. We heard back from them within a day, and set up a meeting with Seth, the owner who came to the house and displayed some options. Never once did we feel pressure to purchase anything and he remained confident in their windows and their work and even encouraged us to price out other options. Their installers were on time efficient and friendly and really knew what they were doing. They left the place looking better than they found it which I know isn’t too much to ask for but nice that they did it anyway.
They also set up the permits on our behalf with the city, and scheduled the inspection.
We had seven windows replaced and can’t believe what a difference they’ve made in the house. Our rooms are more insulated, and the noise from outside has been reduced drastically, meaning we no longer hear our neighbors roosters. Overall, we paid less than we thought we would. If you want cheaper windows they’re out there but the quality for the price based on our research was unmatched.

Seth Cohen, the owner really went out of his way for me, I had a nightmare situation where the previous owners (Window World San Antonio) didn’t close the permit they opened on my house.
I tried forever to get the San Antonio office to help me out, they were nothing but rude and countlessly told me they would «call me back», of course they never did.
Seth, was the complete opposite, even though his company didn’t mess this up, he sent his guy over the next day to get it done, and within 3 days I had an inspector at my house to get my permit closed.
Then I find out Window World San Antonio didn’t even do it right, they put a plain glass window next to my front door, which is a code violation. I told Seth about it, and again he cleaned up their mess and is getting it taken care of.
I would absolutely recommend doing business with them, they care about customers, even if it’s not theirs!

Jan. 23 UPDATE, 24 HOURS LATER: The owner, Seth Cohen, just left our house after personally visiting us to acknowledge and work out a solution to our issues. We figured out a way to move forward with the project, with his personal involvement to make sure it’s done right, and will update here again when it’s finished.
JAN. 22, 2015 — We are still trying to get our windows put in, nearly a month after the initial install date. They were supposed to be done on Dec. 26. The order was 13 residential windows, single-​hung, high efficiency, including three plate windows. On Dec. 26, they showed up with double-​hung windows, not single, including four that were so far off on their measurements that the installers didn’t feel good about installing them (with good reason — we thank them for that). So they installed the two plate windows that did fit, and two double-​hung that we hadn’t ordered — only because they had already removed the old ones before we figured out the problem. We had already paid them nearly $ 3000 deposit for the job, which was estimated at $ 5000 (roughly).
A few days later, the salesman called us back said we’d been accidentally «upgraded» to double-​hung through a typo in the ordering. We also briefly acknowledged the wrong sized windows.
The salesman said we could either wait for the single-​hung to be reordered (a few more weeks) or they could come install the double-​hung much sooner at a reduced cost. We agreed to the second, they knocked $ 1000 off the entire price, and came to install the double-​hungs on Jan. 14.
Except the same four still didn’t fit. They were the same poorly-​measured windows that had been sent the first time around. Two in the living room, and the two in the back bedrooms.
The installers, whom we have really appreciated during all this, didn’t install the badly fitting ones, but went ahead and installed the handful of living room double-​hung windows that did fit. The salesman tried to tell me on the phone that they were badly measured because he «didn’t have access to them» due to the fact that we had asked him not to go in ONE of the rooms if he didn’t have to because we’d have to move the dogs to another room. Problem with his explanation: The window in that room is identical to the one he DID have access to, and two of those windows were in the living room, to which he had total access. So this was an inaccurate and unacceptable (and frankly, mildly insulting) explanation. But OK. I didn’t have time to talk to him, and neither did my husband, so we just told him to deal with it.
A day later, the salesman texted to let me know they had reordered the windows in the right size, apologized for the confusion. So I assume we will hear from them when they come in, although we are loath to a) give them anymore money and b) continue dealing with them at all, but we need new windows. It’s been a week and no word yet.
So today, more than a week after their last visit and text, it is raining like a monsoon outside and lo and behold, the double-​hung window in my husband’s office is leaking from the top, rain coming in on our TV and on my Fender amplifier.
We have documented this and plan to talk to Window World about it when we hear from them again, but we are extremely upset at the fact that we now will have to deal with a third visit if we are going to get our windows, which are not even the ones we initially ordered, but agreed to take given that it would make things simpler all around. I am 7 months pregnant and we are trying to prepare for that, and three contractor visits (not including they initial sales visit and then the measuring visit) is more than we need to be dealing with.
The kicker? We got an estimate from a privately owned, family run window dealer here in town whose estimate came in about 50 percent over Window World –a nd who said, «Theirs will be cheaper, but wait until they start the install and you’ll see why.»
He was so, so, so right. Looking back, we might have gladly paid the extra $ 2500 to him to get this right the first time.
We look forward to hearing from someone who can answer to this and make it right. Maybe this will get someone’s attention, because all the communication up until this point has just resulted in our having mismatched windows and a wet home office.

I had 3 windows installed 10 years ago. Love them. After 10 years, one had a broken sash seal. Called and the owner came out and replaced it. Wow! Replacing 12 more windows next month! Even Cathy on the phone is awesome.

The initial estimate experience was good. Co-​owner arrived on time, wasn’t rushed and explained everything from start to finish. Window World was recommended by another highly reputable window company after it respectfully declined to quote the job based on some install challenges. Window World had no problem taking the job.
Installers arrived on the dot. Very professional and didn’t seemed miffed with the job’s challenges (access/​height). The actual quality of the install was top notch. Clean, no damage to surrounding trim or shutters and they left the work site cleaner than when they arrived.
They walked me through the operation and answered any questions.
All around — great company and staff.
