What Lovely Nails & Spa

Went to this place with a girlfriend of mine to relax and just chat, not only did these guys PUSH a product we didn’t even want on us, but they even added the product after we said we didn’t want it. then proceeded to charge us. I looked at my nails DID NOT LIKE THEM! but it was late at night and the guy said come back tomorrow if needed. Went back next day to be told by a different guy my nails look fine to him. I said you can fix them the way I want or refunding my money would be appreciated. He said no refund! So, I informed him I am being nice and offered for him to fix them (giving them another try) he said come back another time… please not only one person was in the shop and he had major attitude (lip smacking and picking at teeth). I then informed him I was no longer going to be nice if he did not give me my options on a good resolution for both of us. He said «sorry it yo problem» after pretty much scolding the guy. I then left to never go back. Two days later my co worker (friend) came up to me with bandages on her finders saying that they are infected, hurt and she needs to go to the ER for antibiotics or something. A day later she informed me that its possible she had received an infection from this place and there unclean tools. PLEASE SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! or go to STYLIN Nails in the same facility. They were supper sweet and fixed my nails.

Got my nails done, and wax, terrible job! Very sloppy!!! wish I had read reviews before going… I don’t recommend this place.

This was the first place I got my nails done since moving to Austin, unfortunately. I got a set and my eyebrows waxed. I guess from reading other reviews thAt they just wax brows very thin, not really my style. The set is all about the same length. I got shellac as usual and Romeo just slopped it on there not even covering the whole nail. The tips literally have no polish left on them. I asked for oval shape and my left hand has oval but he started watching tv on my right hand and it has almond and 2 oval. Not going back. A man getting a pedi that was by me also complained about cold water 3 times while I was there.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE ANGRY WITH A NAIL SALON IN MY LIFE.
I came in for a mani/​pedi and waited until the water in the pedicure chair was cold for 45 minutes for someone to finally get to me, only to be told that they couldn’t give me a manicure because the acrylic on my nails would take too long to take off and it was already after 7:30.
WHY THE HELL COULDN’T YOU HAVE MY NAILS SOAKING IN ACETONE WHILE I WAITED FOR 45 FREAKING MINUTES???

Terrible, went in to get a mani schlac and reg pedi. They laughed when I said I wanted the basic pedi, then the guy was very rough who did my pedi. He put on my polish so thick it never stayed or dried right even after hrs of waiting. The lady that did my nails was very sloppy. I would not recommend this place if your looking for quality. Also I did not see any instruments they use in a sterile environment.

I few weeks back I noticed a co-​workers perfect french tips and I asked her where she got them done, she recommended this place to me&so far Ive been here twice– first time I did a full set of acrylics with Tony&I came back for a solar fill with Ling, so far I have been completely satisfied! I’m a licensed cosmetologist and always pay close attention to make sure the techs use proper sanitation, so far my services have been great, I appreciate that the inside of this salon is bright&clean. This is my new go-​to in south Austin!

Took my two step daughters for mani/​pedi. The polish was applied unevenly and sloppily. Will not be going back

My boyfriend and one of my girlfriends decided to come here because our favorite place was booked. We came here out of convenience without checking any reviews. Boy do we wish we had checked ahead of time.
First off there wasn’t many nail techs available. I got my eyebrows done and it was uneven and barely left me with any brow left. I did not get any sort of massage during my manicure and pedicure.
My boyfriend’s nails were cut too short and still hurt after 3 days of getting them done. They are uneven, cuticles were bleeding.
None of us will ever go back again

They were very attentive as I came into the nail salon but the man was very rough with my nails. Overall not too bad of a job. He was very polite and offered a discount for my bday nails!

My friend and I got a pedicure here today. Overall the experience was nice. The man massaging my feet seemed to like it a little too much and he kept staring at my face and asking me if I liked it. There is a small dog here and I could see why that makes some reviewers on here uncomfortable. I will most likely go here again, though. They did a good job.

Very disappointed in this place! I got a French manicure and told the nail tech that I wanted square tip. After she asked me three times if I was sure I wanted square tip and me saying yes each time, she still did rounded nails. I told her no, I don’t want rounded. She said but it looks better. I was so pissed, so some of my nails are rounded and some square. She also cut my nails way to short. She also took an hour to do my nails. Never knew it took an hour for a French manicure and this was even without the massage of the hands. Stay away from this place! Very unhappy!

If I could leave 0 stars I totally would, because I have not been been to a worse nail salon before. I am appalled with what terrible service I recieved. I went in to get my solar nails taken off and the owner completely ripped the top half of my nail causing it to bleed. I let him finish and he was fully aware I was hurt. He claims he had said sorry, but I did not hear a sorry. At the end I was unsure whether he would charge me so I asked is there anything else you need from me. He had said no you’re done. So I waited by the front but he didn’t say anything so I figured he was just gonna let me leave. So then i processed to walk out. After getting out the door he had yelled for me to come back in and I told him I thought he wasn’t going to make me pay because he hurt me. He then went on how he did not purposely hurt me and it was not his fault. That he did not hurt me. I even said I understand it wasn’t intentional but if you get in a car accident you don’t purposely hurt the other person, but if you do you don’t make them pay for it. You do, because it was your mistake. After 20 min of arguing, and I had told him I would pay for half even his employees were saying let her go, let her go. I even gave him 5 $ but he would not stop yelling. I was raised not to walk away when being spoken to so I waited until he was finished. I finally paid full price to leave and took pictures to send to the complaint place, because he had said he was going to call the cops on me. He says it’s my fault that I kept my nails on too long, but in the 3 years I’ve gotten nails this is the first time something like that has happened. Also I find puppies adorable, but I didn’t find it appropriate that his chihuahua was walking around around my legs (I’m allergic too) and sitting on his chair while he was doing my nails. I would highly discourage anybody from coming here. I wasn’t angry until he continued to scold me and say he isn’t responsible for paying for my (terrible) service.

Came in. 5 minute wait for pedi she says. Sat in pedi chair for 35 minutes. Water now cold. I say I have to leave. She starts freaking out saying I should have told her I needed to be somewhere. Everyone bemoans me and roll eyes while speaking another language. I get my polish changed and get the hell out. Later!

One of the worst places I’ve ever been
1. They said they could get me in right away and then I sat for over 30 mins completely ignored
2. My shellac manicure didn’t even last a week without peeling off
3. My pedicure started chipping 2 days after it was done
4. They cut my cuticles up and made me bleed on multiple fingers, plus filed my nails so narrow I got an ingrown nail
5. They charged me more than it says in the brochure but I wanted out of there so bad that I didn’t question it

I popped in here to get a pedicure last weekend. I chose the #3 which includes the sea salt scrub and a 16 minute massage. The massage was great and my feet were as soft as a baby’s bottom by the time the technician was done.
There was little to no conversation with the tech. I might be an odd duck, but I enjoyed that as I hate making small talk at the salon; I go to relax. But, if you’re in the mood to gab, this may not be the joint for you.
My only complaint was I had to wait for 15+ minutes and my partner, who was with me, waited for over thirty. I was in no hurry, though, so I wasn’t bothered, but I wouldn’t go here if you need a rush job.

Guys sit around talking and ignore customers, rude, dirty. I will never go ever again. Read the reviews… there is a reason there is no wait, they lost all the regulars! Was much better with the original owners. Go across the parking lot to Studio Nails. Awesome place

I’m a fan of Lovely Nails. Every time I go in its usually not to busy or if I wait, its not even a full ten minutes before I get going with my pampering. The pricing itself is about adverage for getting a basica mani/​pedi/​full set. Depending on who you get, you will have a casual conversation or you will chat it up! If you are not chatting it up back to them, than they might remind you of all the products they offer and if you need additional services (typical conversation in most salons) Everyone is extremely nice and welcoming. I can tell you though, if you come in later close to closing time, you will be rushed on a little to get the job done. So be aware of your timing.

I agree with the other girls if I could give this place zero stars I would!!! This place seriously needs to be shut down! I spent 50.00 there for fills with gel polish and a polish change on my toenails. My nails started chipping within 24 hours and it was hands down the worst job I’ve ever had. The looked ok when I left but like I said the polish and everything started chipping so when I was able I went back which was about five days later. I was promised if I had any problems they would fix it! They had me come back for appt later that day then refused to fix them, I was very upset. There was one customer in the whole place and when I ask them to refund my money the customer told them to call the cops!!! I have never been thru anything like this and have just moved to this area so I will be spending a lot of money on my nails but I will never step foot in that place again. Oh, it looks nice enough but don’t let that fool you and they charge u for everything and I mean everything! I strongly urge you not to go to this place! Anyone whom does not stand behind they’re work when you spend that kind of money and they promise they do then don’t is out in my book and if I could I would have them closed down and I never say that kind of thing but that is how bad my experience was!!! Never ever will I go back to that place!!!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I’m new to Austin & just started looking around for a new nail place. This was my first attempt, & I am extremely unhappy. The pedicure wasn’t all that bad, but I hate how the girl made my toenails round. Such an ugly look. The fill was, by far, the worst I’ve ever gotten. I’ve been getting my nails done for 15 years, & never experienced anything like this! The manicurist clearly didn’t understand that you’re supposed to file the ACRYLIC when shaping the nail, not the actual nail! He cut into the sides of my actual nail/​finger, & even left one bleeding! I’m going to end up with several ingrown nails once they start growing back out. My poor nails have never been through such hell. Plus, they look terrible. On top of it, they charge you an extra $ 2 if you want an accent nail done. Seriously? Because I had 2 different colors done, on TWO nails, you’re going to charge me more? This place is awful. They also have a little dog running around the shop, that they sit up on the manicure tables. Talk about unsanitary. I will never come back to this place, & highly discourage anyone from ever wasting their money here.
Edit (⁴⁄₂₁): not even 24 hours, & I’m already having to get a nail fixed. I cannot express the amount of anger & disappointment I feel for this place. Don’t go here, whatever you do!

I just moved down south so I needed a new place for waxing and nail stuff. This is the first place I tried and I’m so glad I did. Lynn was super friendly and professional. She did a great job with my wax and I enjoyed chatting with her. I will definitely go back again for waxing and for my next pedicure.
