OMG. I just found this gem yesterday and I’m back again today! Best gramwhiches around! The food is amazing. I called in an order and it was fresh and ready when I got there. Tasted like it was made by my grams with love, hence gramwhich. Chicken salad has lots of grapes which I love and the ice toddy coffee is full of flavor. I also tried the garden sandwich and it was so fresh and delish. I don’t ever write Unilocal reviews but this place was that good! Best lunch spot in Austin hands down and they have booze!

Love love LOVE the Challah French Toast! It was a perfect combination of sweet and tangy that was amazingly fluffy on the inside while still having a crunchy exterior. Definitely coming back for a second round soon!

Really cute café. Love the plants and the decorations, gives it a homey antiquey feel.
I ordered the Challah French Toast, and it was really good! I split it between a friend and it was enough for me to be filled since it felt a little rich. I liked how they added berries on it because the tanginess cut the sweetness quite nicely.
ALSO THE WATER DISPENSER IS COOL! RECOMMEND USING IT AND GOING TO THE BATHROOM BECAUSE THE BATHROOM IS GROOVY.

I finally tried this place on Saturday morning for breakfast. I ordered the lavender latte and the eggs benedict. The lavender latte was one of the best lattes I’ve ever had with a subtle taste of lavender. The eggs benedict was also top notch. It’s a little pricey considering you order from the counter and it’s not a sit down service restaurant ($ 20 for coffee and the benedict), but the quality of the food and the atmosphere makes it worth it!

Walton’s Fancy and Staple is a little coffee shop, bakery, florist, and deli shop nestled in West 6^th. The space itself is a bright and airy parlor composed of exposed bricks and wooden beams with little tables sharing a distinct urban junglescape-​y, Restoration Hardware-​esque vibe, especially with the various succulents that lace the entire shop.
Despite being charmed by the environment (don’t go if you’re expecting to study), I will be upfront about the fact that I did not, in slightest, care for the lavender honey latte or the vanilla bourbon latte I had tried. Both ended up being strong in a not so desirable way. That being said, I also ordered a garden sandwich which was so-​so. Prices are steeper than most coffee shops/​bakeries, but perhaps this can be attributed to the ambience and to-​the-​table service they provide. Best for last — their famous «Golden Egg» is a must-​try. It’s a round pastry that is firm, but air-​y, and can be described as being somewhere in between a sugar cookie and a dense cake with chai-​like flavor. I’m getting a baker’s dozen of these eggs next time.

We used Walton’s Fancy and Staple for our wedding desserts. They were amazing, helpful, quick to respond, and the dessert was incredible. Lindsey is fabulous to work with. Our wedding cake was better than I could of hoped for. We had a dessert table and everything was delicious. Also, I found everything to be reasonably priced. Thank you Lindsey for a wonderful experience!

I’ve walked by this place so many times and have wanted to stop in. I even put it on my list of brunch places to try recently. Thankfully this past Sunday we needed to eat breakfast/​brunch and I suggested waltons.
It was UT graduation so pretty busy but whenever I walk by it on Sunday brunch time, it’s pretty busy anyway. We got in line and was able to oogle the bakery goodies in the display. I am an unapologetic soft pretzel whore so when I saw the ham sandwich on a pretzel bun, I knew I had to get it! I ordered the half pretzel ham sandwich and french onion soup. My man ordered the roast beef blue cheese sandwich and got us a cream cheese brownie.
My sandwich was pretty good. The pretzel bun was alright. Nothing too great and it seemed to overwhelm the other ingredients.
The soup was really good! I appreciated how they left the cheesy bread out of the soup so I could put it in myself. It tasted so good and not like they got it from a frozen sysco bag. Which hopefully they don’t do!
The roast beef blue cheese sandwich was SO delicious. I will totally come here again to get this sandwich! It had a lot of roast beef, a good amount of blue cheese but not too much and the bread was not too thick.
The cream cheese brownie was pretty good. I like the cream cheese brownie from sweetish hill better so i won’t get this again. BUT I will try other baked goodies next time I come in!

ived in Austin almost 4 years now and This was the first time I had even heard of the place let alone been inside and eaten here! Come on girl, get it together!
First, aesthetically this place is super adorbs! I LOVED IT! It’s def more of an upscale sandwich shop than a restaurant.
I ordered a make your own grilled cheese and a cup of the tomato basil. Who doesn’t love a good grilled cheese and tomato soup?!
I ordered a mixture of all provolone, cheddar, and American cheese on mixed grained bread and oh my lawdddd it was hands down the best bread I’d ever had. I asked for ALOT of cheese and they nailed it!

My liking, but I mostly only wanted it for dunking my sandwich so I was okay with not eating it in the end.
Portions were spot on, and service was great. Not to mention price! I looooved it will def go back.

Maybe it’s my Unilocal-​search skills but the options for breakfast in downtown Austin are maybe a bit slim during the week. That makes complete sense I suppose. The other morning I strolled down here for breakfast.
What’s not to like?
Cute décor. They sell flowers it seems as well.
Lots of baked goods. They make a good espresso. Full breakfast menu as well.

This is a long overdue review after many letdowns. First I drive to Walton’s from RoundRock– get there by 10am and they’re out of egg Benedict. That’s happen at least 5 different occasions! Secondly I came in at 5:45 on Thursday of last week and they’ve stop serving food. Why stay open if you’re not going to serve food! The gentlemen did offer me coffee so that’s what the one star is for! This place is not as good as it use to be, the service is slacking– and it’s not as clean as it use to be! Dust everywhere!
*please update your website that you stop serving food at 5:30. There was a ton of people that came in when I did and was very disappointed!

Who needs «Thirsty Thursdays» when Waltons has «Grilled Cheese Thursdays»?!? I seriously love their grilled cheese and tomato soup. The décor in this place is so chic and intimate, I wish I could just live in Waltons. For a snack, I recommend everyone try the macaroons, they are crazy good.

2 years ago I went to Waltons F&S with a friend of mine and fell in love with their french toast. 2 years later I’m here again and the quality is still pretty up there. This time we had the french toast, shrimp and grits, goat cheese cheesecake, chai tea latte, and drip coffee.
The french toast has none of that excess egg garbage hanging on the side that half-​assed french toast has. I personally have never tried making french toast, but from what I’m assuming, you soak the bread in an egg mixture of some sort, take it out, and pan fry it. The french toast at Waltons is perfection. Airy yet full of goodness on the inside while the exterior maintains its firmness. There was just enough syrup given with the toast to give you the ultimate balance of sweetness and decadency. Blackberries, strawberries, and blueberries were placed on top to give that nice contrast of tartness and sweetness. Excellent item on the menu.
The shrimp and grits were seasoned fairly well. I will warn you that the blackened shrimp was quite spicy, and you should really cut the shrimp into smaller pieces to mix into the grits, since you’re only given about 4 per plate. All in all though, once you do mix in the seasoned cut shrimp with the grits, it tastes pretty good. Well. actually, some of the shrimp were charred a bit too much and so bitter notes were incorporated into the dish that sort of spoiled it.
The goat cheese cheesecake was pretty great. I’d advise them to actually cut the rosemary into smaller pieces next time since I actually bit into it by accident.
Chai tea latte sucked, don’t get it. I heard the coffee was good though.
Décor was cute, line wasn’t long, service was normal (good).
Price came out to be around $ 32 for all of the above. Fairly standard for a sunday brunch, and both of us were full coming out, so it’s all good.
8/​10, would definitely come again.

I don’t really have the hype for 6^th St but this happened to be the area where I was searching for some good eats. The customer service here is awesome. I was just not enjoying this person standing 2 inches behind me breathing down my back, talking obnoxiously loud on her phone while I’m trying to order (The place was empty, mind you. Plenty of room for personal space). Other than that, I liked this spot. What drew me to this place were the sweet goodies I saw thru the window. I ordered the macaroons (too sweet for my taste buds) & a strawberry parfait (delightful, I must add). I hated the parking but then again what can you expect coming to this area.

This place is a hidden gem within Austin west 6^th area. I stumbled into this restaurant looking to take a break from SXSW. They have many healthy options, the ambiance is perfect to catch up on work or have a nice cozy conversation with a friend. They also have a dog play area which is nice for pet owners. I ordered their Pistachio bacon chicken salad which is by far the best salad in Austin.

Probably the only downside to Walton’s is that it’s a bit pricey, and maybe also the fact that being downtown, parking is a nightmare.
Those things aside, this is one of the top cafes in Austin in terms of personality, and their food is also great.
The ham & egg sandwich is giant — it comes as an open sandwich and is extremely decadent for a savory breakfast item. I have heard the breakfast tacos are good too, and they are probably the most affordable on the menu. The breakfast sandwich — served on a very buttery biscuit, comes with an egg cooked to perfection.
Their coffee is brewed from Cuvee coffee beans, and they usually offer a couple very unique flavors to add to your espresso drinks such as vanilla bourbon, rose, or honey lavender. Once, I ordered and paid for lavender before they realized they were out, so they offered to give me a bakery item complimentary, and were very kind in making sure I was well taken care of.
The service at Walton’s follows this same example — everyone is friendly and happy to serve the customers that come through.
I highly recommend the rose or lavendar lattes, and as far as bakery items go, definitely try the Golden egg! It’s the most affordable dessert and very delicious, but they have a wide range of very delectable items.
They sell coffee mugs, beans, desserts, raw honey, and even succulents, ranging from very small to quite large ones! The interior is beautifully decorated with succulents, plants, and other decorative items that give it a classy and cute feel.
There is extra seating around the corner in the back, and the tables are perfect for taking that overhead food pic for Instagram.
All in all, Walton’s is a great place to have a breakfast or brunch, or to grab some sweets and coffee!

Loved the atmosphere here, I ordered to go since I had my pup and they don’t allow pets. Service was good (again I didn’t stay so I’ll update when I do some and get serviced). The tiramisu was amazing and the bourbon balls delicious. I’ll be back!

I loved this place! I got the pastrami sandwich, while my friends got the ham and egg sandwich and eggs and bacon. Personally, I loved the sandwich that I got, especially the horseradish mustard which added a very nice finish to the meat.
The food was serviced really fast! You order at the front desk and sit at any table of your choice (I recommend the back hallway which has more seating and feels less crowded). The server was really nice, being attentive to our needs and making sure everything was taken care of! I have to go back on the weekend to try the beignets!

Just finished eating here and already want to go back. So this is for sure my new favorite spot in Austin for breakfast/​brunch/​lunch.
The décor and vibe in this place is so peaceful and trendy with succulents and plants everywhere.
I tried the egg sandwich with no ham tomatoes instead and a cup of the tomato bisque. (Wish I got a bowl because it was so amazing)
I also got a café au lait which was just like I used to drink in Italy… this place knows it’s espresso.
They also have macaroons which are so hard to find here! I tried the salted Carmel, strawberry and vanilla all perfect !!!
Can’t wait to go back and try more stuff everything on the menu looked dank af!

Walking into Waltons made me think I had stepped back in time into a historic small town deli and marketplace. Waltons is the sister location of Bess Bistro. It is located in the same building that once was home to Fischer Brothers Grocery, Feed, and Wood Yard established in 1895.
You can do many things at Waltons. You can enjoy a sandwich or weekend brunch at the deli. Sip on Waltons coffee blended exclusively for Walton by Cuvee coffee. Purchase gifts such as Bessence candles, custom flower arrangements, or an antique or too. Their bakery is what I smelled first when I walked through the door. Fresh baked bread aromas wafting from the back. You can order gluten free bread if you call 36 hours in advance. As you walk to the cash register to place your food order, it is hard to not pick out one of their yummy looking home made sweets. They even have a few gluten free bakery items, including several flavors of macaroons. I selected a small cold brew coffee and their fresh berry chocolate mousse. The coffee was on point, and the mousse was heavenly with the fresh berries.
There is ample seating in the main area or around the corner off to the side. They have one or two tables outside and even a doggie station post outside.
I will definitely be back to sample some of their other offerings.

Came here this past weekend for lunch. It was a very cute, quaint café with an impressive display of pastries. It’s a bit pricier than typical café. You order up front and they bring your food to you.
I ordered the much raved about Turkey Sweet sandwich and switched out the croissant for multi-​grain bread so that my sandwich could be pressed. When I received the sandwich, it was filled with meat, to a point where it was a bit overwhelming. It would have been nice if there was some sort of vegetable to make it less heavy. The spread they used was very delicious and sweet. While the sandwich was yummy, it wasn’t amazing. I prefer the Turkey Sandwich I had at Easy Tiger.
I was super excited to get a macaron since so many Unilocalers have raved about it. I got a salted caramel macaron, and it was one of the worst macarons I’ve ever had. The shell immediately crumbled and there was no chewy texture. It felt like a cookie instead of a macaron. The caramel taste wasn’t too strong, but it was fine.
