Partners: Brian Walters and Jake Gilbreath.

Brian Walters graduated from The University of Texas Law School in 1996 and worked for Davis & Davis, PC until 1997. His practice areas included family law and medical malpractice defense.

He left the firm to start his own and by 1998 was practicing exculsively family law. He took a sabbatical from practicing law for 2008 – 2011,and resumed law practice in 2012.

Jake Gilbreath also graduated from the University of Texas School of Law. He developed his passion for family law as a student attorney at the UT Domestic Violence Clinic.

Since law school, Jake has focused his practice exclusively on family law matters. He has handled complex and contentious custody cases both outside and inside a courtroom. He has litigated constitutional issues regarding same sex marriage, adoption and child custody. Finally, he has developed an involved international aspect to his practice and has learned to manage immigration and cultural specific issues.

Business Owner

Brian Walters is a Texas attorney handling family law matters in Central Texas.

Brian was born in Pensacola, Florida in 1970, the son a career Marine Corps officer. After living all over the world and graduating from high school in West Germany, Brian returned to Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University in 1993 with a BBA.

In 1996 Brian graduated from The University of Texas School of Law with a JD, and passed the Bar Exam and started active practice the same year.

Brian worked at Davis & Davis, PC from 1994 to 1997, when he left to form his own firm. He worked from 1997 to 2007 with Glynn Turquand at Walters & Turquand, LLP.

From 2008 – 2011 Brian ran a very successful company, becoming a co-​owner of the company.

In 2012 Brian resumed his law practice at The Law Office of Brian Walters, PLLC.
