They are all about the ‘sale.’ 2 sales people called me. Sales people not even in our area. Hard closes from the first phone call. Automated phone calls and emails to get me to sign up. Not very interested in what I really needed just wanted me to sign up. I will not use their services.

I would love to write a more positive review of our experience, but unfortunately the results and the resulting lack of follow through by Varsity Tutors leads me to write a mediocre review. Our daughter took SAT test prep through Varsity Tutors in semi-private tutoring. Unfortunately, her test scores went down from her previous test. Her study mate’s scores went up, which was great. I appreciate test scores are a result of lots of inputs, including the environment on the day of testing. My review is based upon two things — #1 our family paying a lot of money and not getting a positive result; #2(more importantly) the complete lack of follow up by the owners to our calls to discuss this to see if there was any policy they had in these situations.(e.g. partial refund, discounted future tutoring, etc.) Varsity Tutors does not have complete control of the testing environment or the scores of students, but they do have control over their customer service, and not responding to a parent after a number of follow-up calls.
