University of Texas At Austin

Very pretty campus that is also very walkable! Whether you live in Austin or are just visiting, take a few hours and wander around the campus! So many people in Austin (who aren’t UT students) don’t take the time to appreciate the campus, which has some great sculptures, great architecture, and a great museum!

Awesome campus! I went to SMU so this is a much larger campus compared to that. I got pretty jealous when I saw they had escalators in the McCombs school. Aaargh!

Awesome campus! Campus is well maintained, modern touches, and definitely an asset to everyone on the community.

Of course UT is great, everyone already knows that.
It is a cornerstone of Austin. Always has been always will be.
Very proud to have spent my youth at this great institution and left with my diploma.
Many years later it is still great. Top notch facilities, medical school on the way and a very large and active alumni.
Guess what? We are not down and out in sports as others may think by watching Longhorn football.
This weekend UT men’s swimming won the national championship for the 11^th time, pretty impressive.

Ok, kinda dramatic, but yeah, what happens here at the grad level changes the world. Really amazing faculty and graduate level work being done here. Appreciate the free-​thinking here and emphasis on research.
I love this place as a research institution. Endless innovative possibilities. So many intelligent and high caliber faculty here. This was my top choice for grad school, and here I am! The campus is also very pretty and has lots of outside seating.
I do wonder where money is going, though, in my department. There is almost no funding for our graduate students, including at the doctoral level, which is frightening and sub par for such a high ranked institution. Something is getting lost in this crazy bureaucratic chain, but it could be worse, I guess. Very affordable university, though, thankfully.

Great and relatively cheap education in cool and hip city. Lots of majors to satisfy everyone’s educational needs. First class faculty and facilities.

HUGE football stadium. My God. Everything is bigger in Texas. Back in California they make our stadiums look like kiddie pools. DANG! Only wish I were there to see a game in person.
