I can not believe what crooks they are! They take money from your bank account to pay for the times you use the tolls, always leaving a balance of $ 20.00. When the balance goes below the $ 20.00 they go into your bank account and take more money out. They take $ 80.00 from my account and this month they double dipped which is what i thought they had done since the withdrawals were nine days apart. I decided to call them and ask them why they double dipped on my account. Well, i managed to get a «gentleman» that I have had the pleasure of talking to… «NOT»! He was totally lost and had no idea what he was talking about or reading on his computer and when I called him on it, we conveniently «got disconnected», when i called back I got a nice young lady that knew what she was talking about and proceeded to tell me that we had used the tolls «9 times» and they had to replenish the funds. Now, we don’t use the tolls that often but, i will take her word for it. But, paying over $ 40.00 to use the tolls for «9 times» that’s a bit much! Even for the crooks that they are. If you have an account with them, I suggest you watch them closely.

I had my txtag account for less an a month when I noticed extra fines, I called them and they said the system added another vehicle (which was not mine). They removed it. Shortly after, I started receiving fines from the EZtag folks in Harris county.
I called txtag at least 20 times, spoke with three managers over a period of a month.
By this time the fines went to collections.
Only after threatening to call the Texas Transportation Commissioners office did I get any attention.
I would recommend avoiding these criminals at all cost!

Although it seems most will disagree with me on my rating, it’s a fair rating from my standpoint. I got my tag as soon as they were issued some years back. Never had a problem at all. Then mysteriously a few months back, we got a bill for a couple of tolls. I paid no mind, since I thought it would be deducted soon enough from my card on file. This went on for awhile and then today we got a letter with an invoice, violation charges and pictures of our rogue jeepster!
Suzie, the ever so WTF, I got perfect credit kind of gal, called them. Yes, we got a heads up that it wold be a 19 minute wait. Key.“Listening to pokemon music from the 70’s”… and low and behold in the 19^th minute on came a sweet lady to assist. Suzie was a little frantic going on with what is happening.etc. After much reviewing and getting the account numbers in order, all was revealed. We had changed our plate to a vanity plate a while back and did not notify TxTag. Oh, wise one here, that would be me, didn’t think that was necessary since the tag didn’t. Apparently, starting in the fall of last year, the computer/​person picked up that the new plate didn’t jive with the tag number collected at the booth… at warp speed.
My bad. The nice lady on the phone got our accounts in order so we are all back on one invoice. When I asked politely regarding the violations, $ 30 worth, she told me that they have waived them for me. Since they felt sorry for me that I was an igiot. (Ok, those were my words). Pretty awesome.

Taxation without representation. Unstaffed tolls should be illegal. Period.
Take a look at the pictures I’m adding of the parking situation. The overgrowth in the parking lot will scratch the shit out of your car if you aren’t careful. I had to park sideways so I wouldn’t get scratched.
This company is based in Spain. Our toll money ends up in Spain. Really! «I really enjoy paying Spain via highway tolls while driving in Texas» said no one ever.
